Hi,I am making changes to my Figma Github Repo using Claude Code Web - but it seems to not have the ability to pull from Github, Is this correct? If so, what is the best workaround for this?

Hello forum! So the default hotkeys for bringing to front and sanding to back, as moving layers above or below or other layers, are ] and [.And bringing forward and sending backward, as moving layers on one position abore or below other layers, are ctrl + ] and ctrl + [ key combinations.My issue is that I use second option, that is moving layers by one step much more often, so it would be much easier if that would be just ] or [, without also pressing ctrl key.Is there a way to switch those functions or hotkeys for those functions in Figma? Am I the only one having such an issue?Thank you

Hello forum!Is there a way to enable showing line height in pixels by default? By default it shows in percents and I don’t find in really convient, I would much rather just see it in pixels by default or were able to switch it somewhere

I’ve noticed that when I make changes to a main component, some overrides in its instances don’t update as expected. This is causing inconsistencies in my designs, and I’m not sure if it’s a bug or something I’m missing in the workflow. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on keeping component updates consistent across all instances would be really helpful.

Hello,I'm contacting you because I don't have access to the Figma AI feature "Remove background".I'm on the verified Student plan and I've noticed that my classmates have this feature but I don't.How can I get access to this feature and other AI features?

In the keynote, the left navigation is mostly discussed in tandem with the “extended collections” feature, which I believe is only available to enterprise. However, I’m interested in the new, full screen variables panel that’s included with the new left nav panel since it makes it much easier to get a complete picture of a design system token set. Is this UI element going to be rolled out to everyone, or only enterprise users? If yes, when’s the target roll out?

Why I don't have figma AI tool after one year? how should I get it?

In the desktop version of Figma, ALL the images have disappeared from ALL my projects. The frames are still there, but they are empty. However, everything is working fine in the browser version. I've tried restarting, uninstalling, and reinstalling Figma, but nothing has worked. Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

How do you sync the changes being done in one copy of the screen to other copies on different pages? I tried making the component out of screen but then it loses it’s floating name on the top left.

So, variables are one of the most important functionalities in Figma, but the plugin API doesn’t help developers when it comes to variables, basically, there is no way for an open plugin to know when a user create, remove, reorder, or edit a variable or variable collection. Even though, this is possible with styles, which are less important and common than variables.If the document change event doesn’t include variable changes, then how an open plugin is supposed to get this information?Why variable changes haven’t been added to the document change event until now?@James_Yang I mentioned you as I always find you answers insightful​     

When using the regular workspace in Figma, I have access to plugins.   Like the QT export plugin. I created a UI using the AI Make tool but the plugins are not avilable in that workspace.   How can I move the UI Created in Make to the regular workspace so I have access to the plugin?   Is taking a screen shot of it and opening it in regular Figma the best option? Thank you.  New to Figma here.

I have a frame like this: Custom Headline has a boolean property to toggle it on/off. Headline has a boolean variable set at appearance. Problem statement: I want to turn the Headline off when Custom Headline property is turned on. This is not a prototype, so I am only changing the state through toggles.Can I apply conditionals to properties.

When attempting to use the MCP server to retrieve design tokens, get_variable_defs seems to return the final resolved value and not the alias in some cases. I want to confirm that's intended behavior.We were hoping to be able to rely on the MCP server to help generate components without having to pay a 3rd party like Locofy or Tokens Studio, but if we don't get aliases we can't handle mapping semantic tokens to primitive tokens to centrally manage them. We will likely have to look into export-based approaches or perhaps the API.Can you confirm or deny...and also do you have any notes on best practices for doing something like this?

I have a list on the left of the screen and the details of the selected item on the right. User can click the accept risk button to change the state (from new to accepted) I am trying to get the icon in the list to change depending on if the user accepts the risk or not. To do this, I am trying to use the boolean variables in Figma. I have these two boolean variables: I have created a custom icon so that the variant props match this (I don’t know if that matters, I actually tried it both ways and neither time did it work) I tied the icon component to the boolean variable  Now when the user clicks the accept button, I have it open a dialog and then the confirmation button has setting the accepted boolean variable to true. My best guess is that this is where I’ve gone wrong somehow? Anyway, I put it all together and the left side list icon still doesn’t change after you click the button. What is wrong? Should I be using variable modes? Can Figma even support a prototype like this?

When I copy the icon glyph itself on URL above (on the upper right in the modal) and paste it into figma, font awesome renders it as icon. If I copy the icon name “magnifying-glass” as text and apply font awesome to it, it doesn’t work half the time and renderds as plain text. Anyone knows what is causing this? It’s a problem since devs can’t see the icon’s name when inspecting if I copy paste the icon itself. 

I’m using Untitled UI to create some of my screens. I dragged and dropped components from its 2 main files (variables and examples). The problem is that now, I have components that “inherit” values from 2 different palettes. The main issue with this is that when I try to switch a whole screen from “Dark mode” to “Light mode”, some components won’t switch, as they inherit values from the other file. How can I solve this? Thanks!!! :)  

Hope someone can clarify as i’m struggling to get an answer.An external designer has created an icon font for us. I have uploaded this to the resources section which enables me to use and edit the font in a design file (without having it installed in my Mac font book)However another external designer “Guest” who has a full design seat, gets an notification when they open the file with this typeface to swap it to one installed on their system.I then checked with an internal designer (non guest) and they can see and edit the typeface without it being in their font book too.Can anyone clarify who is able to use the typeface? its seems a little pointless adding to resources if some designers still have to have have it installed, doesn't feel logical.Is it only guests that can’t use it unless its installed on their system?

Everytime I leave Figma window to go to another window, I get this “New available font: Raleway” notifications. Why is this happening? How do i turn it off?

Hi there,the first draft feature is really useful to make wireframes. However I sometimes need to alter these manually after generating them, but the used Libraries are not available. Or did I just not find them?It would be really useful if they could be provided as a library or UI Kit in Figma, to use the same components to keep refining the wireframes in further iterations after the first generation.Thanks for considering publishing these,all the bestMikka

 Hi everyone!My problem isn’t new to this community - I’ve read a ton of threads about ghost variables.The point is, my variables are not displayed under “Used” group, they were “created in this file”. The “detach deleted variables” plugin doesn’t work, bc apparently they are still used somewhere. I’ve checked my Variables panel, it’s clean, I’ve also checked all of my text styles for any rogue size/line height or spacing variable - they are all in place.I’m silently going crazy over here. Is there any solution, apart from detaching all the text styles and reattaching them again. Also when I’m switching these modes, nothing is happening, otherwise that would be too easy.Any help appreciated! 

Hi,What is the easies way to make this text in shape effect?If you know a plugin for making typography like this would be great. The tool mentioned uses AI and it is not totally free ... needs AI credits to work.Thanks!

I have a fully functional website in figma make. This is a react build i see. Has anyone succesfully deployed from there? because I get lots and lots of errors trying to deploy to a live site. Please advise how I can move forward fast. thanks!
