How do I draw a shape with a hole inside using pen tool?

Hi all! So my problem is that when I try to draw a donut-like shape applying fill to it after just fills everything inside, including a hole that supposed to be left empty. What did I do wrong?

Hi. You can remove hole fill using Paint tool
