I wonder if it’s possible to turn a frame into a rectangle ? If it is, which other shapes can a frame be turned into ?When a rectangle is selected and frame selection is used, the rectangle is stored inside a frame. In that case, it’s intuitive to take the rectangle out of the frame. But I can’t figure it out when there’s a frame without any child layer.Appreciate any help.

We currently use Appetize in our organisation as our product to demo our native apps - link. Which is great way for designers to stay up to date with the latest changes in production. However, it doesn’t provide a more holistic way to look at your app, ie more like a flow chart view of all screens across the different navigation tiers. A full IA map or flow chart if you will with all screens mapped out in order to identify any pain points / gaps within user flows or identify opportunities for new features, new components and identify old legacy components, etc etc. Especially to build up a view of where new compoments are being adopted across the app as different development / product teams ship the new components. Especially when it comes to a rebrand, ie to get a view of what percentage of the app has adopted the new brand vs not.Our dev team exported the latest screens from Appetize to a folder for our design team and then we created a flow chart layout in Figma manually. Is the Apple Macbook Air 13 M4 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD slowing down when working with 20 layouts in the Figma compared to the Apple M4 Pro (14C CPU, 20C GPU), 24 GB RAM, 1024 GB SSD?Where is it more comfortable for you to work when comparing Air and Pro?

Hi allI have two modes set up in our variables — Mode A and Mode B. When I try to change the font style for Mode B in the edit panel it keeps applying the default values from Mode A.Mode A has a font size of 112 and Mode B is set to 72. However when I try to adjust the values for Mode B it’s stuck at 112. If I break the variable it then shows 72. This issue only seems to affect font size and line height.I’ve attached some screenshots for reference. Not sure if this is a bug or if anyone else is seeing the same behaviour.   

Very low performance speed in Figma Make when the thread reaches large sizes (currently 230+ iterations). All actions in the chat area occur with a significant delay (typing, scrolling, etc.), making it impossible to work.However, the prototype itself works well within FM.Has anyone encountered this? What could be the cause? Could it be related to the power of the laptop?

I have hundreds of icons that need the same settings.Each icon variant has two properties: Fill (On, Off) and RTL (On, Off). Each icon variant needs to have these properties reset.Now I can only set each one manually.Help😭

 I submitted my figma plugin (BuddaAI) for review about a month ago and on the window that popped up, it said it should be reviewed within 5-10 business days. However I did not receive an email nor get it approved, and it’s been a bit over a month now. Would like to know how long I should expect to wait.. I have not been contacted or anything, and no update has been given. I noticed in Schema 2025 that Extended Collections were built based upon Primitive (Source) tokens and didn’t utilise Semantic tokens. When building a multi-brand design system, is this best practice now with the introduction of Extended Collections?

I’m using AI image generation in beta and today I suddenly got rate limit exceeded. I tried Can I not use this anymore? Or will it reset the next day? I don’t know Has anyone else had the same experience?

Hello,We want to export some parts of our projects, but our Team was downgraded. Now we have the problem that the team is locked due to having 3 projects on the Starter plan. Also copying/sharing is restricted, and even admins can't export or delete files.Is there any way to get the files, without again paying for a plan? (which in this case would only be used once to export the files to another Figma instance)Thank you Max

I am currently using the free plan which I might jump into a paid plan if I understand more on how AI credits are applied when Figma makes the mistake.  For example, I ask Figma to create a Stats Table that allows row entries and after any changes to a row it needs to allow me to save via a button.  I have now asked it 8 to 10 times to fix the bugs in this.  These are bugs that Figma created as in the Save button doesn’t save or after typing 1 character in a text column it would lose focus.  Do I get charged AI credits for asking Figma to fix the save button and lost focus?  Figma also is great at telling me where it found the problem or knows their is an error; are those charged back to me if I ask to fix? I completely understand if I ask lets say something like columns to be swapped or to add delete functionality then those are changes on my behalf.  Now sometimes when functionality is added, it may cause something else to change.  For example, there was already a Save button and I w

We operate in a collaborative environment across a large organization with workers in many time zones. Frequently, people create designs in their drafts, and then share them without granting the necessary editing permissions to the next people who will pick up their designs — and then are off or unavailable when permission needs to be granted to a new editor. (Often times, they do not know who this new editor will be). All users are part of a specific team, so I’m looking for a solution that, by default: 1. Allows any user in a team to edit another design created by a member of that team, regardless of project…Or by default, when creating a new design, has it created in a new project that everyone on the team has access to?tldr — I need all users of a team to be able to edit all designs created by others on the team, regardless of project or location. I am trying to create a standard horizontal carousel with two-step navigation (scroll arrow begining middle and end) using a Component Set to manage arrow visibility. Goal: When the Right Arrow is clicked in the Start state, the row should smoothly scroll to X=1000 pixels and the button should change state to Middle (showing the Left Arrow). Setup: The content row (Latest Releases Full Row) has horizontal overflow. The button logic is contained within a three-variant component set (Start, Middle, End). At the end of the first 16 tiles I a have added 8 more tiles in the layers called R1T17 to R1T24. Failure: The first Right Arrow interaction work perfectly (scrolls to X=1000 and changes state).
