Hi Community,We’re experiencing an issue with Figma variables after exporting design tokens via Token Studio and would appreciate your help.Setup: We maintain all our design tokens in a Google Sheet. This sheet is connected to Token Studio, and we regularly push and pull changes between the sheet and Token Studio. We then export these tokens from Token Studio to Figma as variables (and styles). Problem:After exporting, many variables or styles in Figma appear as broken (showing a question mark icon).Although the variables still exist, their values are not correctly resolved.To fix this, we currently have to manually remap the variables or styles each time in Figma in order to see the updated values. This happens repeatedly after exports, which makes maintaining tokens quite difficult.Expected behavior:We expect the variables to stay correctly linked and update automatically when exported from Token Studio, without requiring manual remapping.Could someone please help us understand:

I am currently evaluating how Figma can integrate with LLMs like Claude Code for codebase auditing. While I’ve seen demonstrations of AI generating code from visual snapshots, my primary use case is reverse-validation: I have a pre-existing codebase and highly complex flow charts built within Figma that act as the visual blueprint for that logic. Does Figma support - either through the MCP (Model Context Protocol) server or Code Connect - allowing an AI to programmatically parse my prototyping links, layer hierarchy, and flow logic to verify if the actual code implementation accurately reflects the designed user journey? I’d like to understand if your current tools allow for this level of bidirectional logical assessment rather than just visual UI generation.Ive attached an example photo (this would be 25 times longer in reality so wondering if say claude code has the ability to understand this !) - thanks very much 

Hi Xiaomi users! We’re aware of an issue that means you may not be able to sign in, we’re working on a long term fix, but in the meantime here is a workaround. Long press on the Figma App icon and select ‘App info’ Select ‘Other permissions’ from the menu Ensure ‘Display pop-up windows while running in the background’ is set to ‘Always allow’ You should now be able to successfully log in Here’s a walkthrough video

Hi,I previously had a Figma account verified with the Education plan using my university email. Due to a technical issue, I had to delete that account.I created a new Figma account with the same institutional email and re-verified my student status through SheerID, but the system keeps saying that the Education plan has already been redeemed.Since the original verified account no longer exists, this issue can’t be resolved by SheerID alone and requires a manual reset on Figma’s side.Could a moderator or support agent please help escalate this or advise on restoring the Education plan to my current account?Thank you.

 As you can see from my screen record, I have two images, both in the form of png. But I cannot figure out why the two would behave differently even though I haven’t messed around with the settings, and I want to know how to get consistent behavior, specifically I want both of my images to act like the second image where the image will follow and adjust with the size and not get cropped or zoomed in.

I've been having a very weird issue in Figma recently. When trying to move objects in a Frame it blocks me for some reason, but it does let me move around a couple of objects on the top. Objects outside of this frame are able to be moved freely. And if I move the order in the layers section then it works (the frame has auto layout on).Does anyone know why this is happening and how to resolve this issue? https://imgur.com/a/PKxFTs2

Hi,I'm a newbie with Figma and need help figuring out why my site is displaying differently online versus what it shows me in the view option in Figma Sites. The first screenshot is how Figma Sites shows me how it will look. It has already been published, so it is updated. The second screenshot is how it actually looks online. It adds a bunch of white space to the right. Instead of extending it across the screen. How can I fix this? Thank you for your help in advance.

I'm thinking about building my portfolio using Figma Sites, but before I start, I wanted to ask: does Figma allow you to password-protect specific pages or projects? I’d like to make some sections private or only accessible to certain people.

Hi!Suddenly a icon component (with around 15 variants) doens’t allow recoloring, while any other component has no issues.using icon instance > recoloring doesn't work for any of the variants. all icons are in one layer with same layer name detached it as component > recoloring is fine created an independent component > recoloring is fine added it back to the icon set > recoloring doesn't work anymore Any idea what it can be?

My company has a comprehensive component library which I am trying to have imported into Figma make. One of our designers has run the export following the instructions, and those who have edit access to the component library can see it in Figma make. However I just have viewing access but I still can’t see it - I can’t tell if it’s a bug or I’m just missing the correct permissions? Do I need to be a member of the team where the library is published? I get a bit lost with all the Figma access/permissions.

Sometimes it happens that I accidentally misclick and lock the layer/frame.Then I wonder why I cannot click on the layer to select it… in my case so frequent:)If figma UI provide visual feedback, I mean notification “Frame is locked” when rage clicking on it - that would be really clear

We’ve built a large design library in our organization account that many internal teams use.Sometimes, we also work with external vendors (like agencies or freelancers) who need to use this library and get updates regularly. Because we’re a large corporation, it’s not practical to add them as paid seats just for a short project – the approval and payment process is too complex.What’s the best way right now to share a library with people outside the organization so they can actually use the components (not just view them)?Is exporting the library as a .fig file really the only option – even though that means they won’t get any future updates?Thanks!

I used a published library for my figma make file.I did some work.I exported the design and pasted into Figma. But the components it supposedly used from the Design System / Library didn’t come across but pastes in just as figma elements.Is this correct?

Hello everyone, I have a doubt. In my brand palette file, I’d like to have a “Brand palette” and an “Infographic palette”, which would include much more shades. For the “Brand palette”, I created specific variables, but now I’m wondering if in the same file I can create also variables for the “Infographic palette”.Also, when using the library in other file, I’d like to be able to select the palette I wanna see between these two.Do you think it is possible or do I have to create two different libraries?Thank you!

Is there a way in Figma to adjust all the typography in a group of text elements at once, instead of having to select each element individually?(In the group are just text elements.)When I select the group with multiple text elements in same typo, the typo settings won’t be shown.When I select all text elements auf a group via cmd + shift / mark, same behaviour.Only in case I select elements which are not part of a group via cmd + shift or I select the text elements one by one with shift, I can adjust the typo settings. However, I would like to select a group of text elements and change them directly all together.

Dear Community, I have been exploring the possibilities of Figma Sites and I have encountered a big problem.I have made a Design System as I usually do, and made some page layout that work perfectly in Figma Design. But, when I add the library to Figma Sites and import af button with a “while hovering” and “while pressing” state, the buttons never goes back to the original state after hovering it. It a simple component with the 3 states of the button. Is there a fix for this?

Hello, I have two plugins that have been posted on the figma platform for several years. This morning, all users suddenly said that our plugins couldn't be found in the resource community. I hope your team can provide me with a specific explanation of the reasons for taking down these two plugins of mine. And apply to restore these two plugins to the figma platform. Setup: Foundations library which contains all color variables (and currently 4 modes, 1 deleted mode (The Grape Brand)). The Foundations library is used in a Components library and several design files The Components library is also used in the same design files Issue When i’m in my Components file and select variable mode on page level it shows 5 modes (4 current and 1 old mode) and except for the default mode it shows exclamations marks behind all of them. When i’m in the Components file but select a layer and change the mode on layer level I see the 4 correct modes and no exclamation marks. If I open a design file which uses both the Components and Foundations library I get the 4 correct modes and no exclamation marks on both page and layer level. It’s not that big an issue that I cannot change the mode on page level for the Components library file but i’d rather have it resolved. Anyone have any idea what’s going on? Especially why the mode “The Grape Brand” is still showin

Is it possible to connect to the Remote Figma MCP server from your own client? To be specific, could I build an Agentic system that connects to the Remote Figma server, takes in a link to the Figma design and generates the code for that design using the output from Figma's MCP toolset?
