Hi all, I created some designs that I exported as PDF. I have two problems with the result: The text is not selectable (I tried Mac’s Preview and Safari). The files are rather large (1MB for an A4 size design, no images or vectors, just a few text bozes. Any ideas how to overcome this? (I would try to avoid bringing it back my design to Sketch.

Does anyone know what this swirling noodle type animation is called and how can I make it in figma? 

I have been having a problem with Figma for several days when using Swap Library. Let me explain:I created a design system with, among other things, our colors (for example: #406eff for the primary color, #383838 for the secondary color, and #848484 for the tertiary color). Then I published the library of this design system.I created a mockup for client A. In this mockup, I used instances of components created in my design system. Anyone ever used figma make? especially until finish it and try to deploy?I’m tried to download generated code from figma make and deployed it to github and vercel. It is doesnt work, seems because the structure is not common. now I still host the website in figma but connect it to a new domain. my question is, does figma make code able to deployed and continue the development as functional website? or it is just mare prototype? does figma has plan to make it website builder like lovable or V0?I also trying to implement Google Analytics, but despite Figma Make's reported implementation using the provided script, GA testing consistently failsany help will really appreciated, thanks!

Has anyone created and deployed a full working web application with backend and APIs using Figma Make and Vercel? 

I use variables for a multilingual project. I’m using a file as library to manage string variables. I tried updating some strings in the library file but they didn't carry over to the local usage file which already updated the latest library. The text there is still showing the old version instead of syncing.I need to re-assign the same variable to the text so that it can show the latest version. It is very annoying.

I have a figma plugin which was published some months ago, I want to upload a new version for the plugin but I am unable to do it. I am trying to “Locate local version” but it shows me a development plugin instead of allowing me to “Publish a new version”. Any guess what might cause this?I tried updating the manifest to match my plugin ID and I was able to get the “Publish a new version” option and now I am getting an error I would appreciate any help. Hi everyone, I’m trying to understand the full scope of what agentic AI can access in Figma through the Figma MCP.Is there a list of MCP tools and the Figma data model (objects/nodes and their properties) that agents can read or modify? For example: layers, their names, design tokens, token values, token descriptions if available, etc.—basically anything that exists inside a Figma file or design system.I’m looking for a comprehensive breakdown of what agents can access. Put differently: are there any parts of a Figma file that agents cannot access via MCP, or is access effectively broad to everything exposed in the file’s data model?If you have documentation, examples, or hands‑on experience, I’d really appreciate it.Thanks!

I have iconA fixed size, and frame B with text in it, A&B together should be made into componentsC to change contents. lets say C1 C2 C3 are its instance. I need to make C1 C2C3 the same height. So should be the highest of the 3 with 40 padding. How to do it?  

Hello Everyone, I am studying UX design online- and I need to run a usability study. I have my very simple functional lo-fi prototype ready and when I was going to set it up in Lyssna I made the mistake of asking Gemini to guide me ste by step for fear of making a mistake (jokes on me). Well, everything seemed fine until I was told to add my link to every section I was adding for every step I wanted the users to take and BOOM i got restricted not being aware that there was a rate limit. I am using the free version and waited 4 days and now that I tried again its not working and telling me to wait few more days. I cant keep on waiting and im frustrated and sad. Can anyone help me understand what to do next? and if paying a Figma plan would fix that problem right away?  I would really appreciate some help. All best Mariana

Hello, I had a developer create me a Figma website for my business. How can I connect this Figma site so that it is hosted on my GoDaddy domain? I have been unable to figure out how to do so. 

I want to remove the Edu plan of my account so that my friends (which aren’t students) can access the figma file :( I dont know how to send a ticket so I come here for help :(( 

I recently upgraded my laptop to an NVIDIA 5070 (8GB model), hoping to resolve the performance issues I had with my old 3060 (4GB), which I assumed was struggling to handle Figma.Unfortunately, the upgrade hasn’t helped yet. I’ve tried enabling the High Performance GPU option for Figma in both Windows and NVIDIA settings, and I’ve explored almost every solution I could find online. At this point, I’m starting to think the issue is Figma itself.Figma has never felt like a truly smooth experience for me; there is always a choppy feeling to the app, like a bit of a "Frankenstein’s Monster." Recently, however, that drag has felt even more intense. To see what I mean, try changing colors using the color picker in the Variables panel or running a Smart Animate transition with a large dataset.Can someone please tell me if I’m missing something? OverviewI’m trying to build a menu item component and reduce the number of variants through the use of nested components, but I’ve run into an issue.Within the set, I have two variants which are both selectable, so I’ve created a ‘isSelectable = true / false’ prop, and an ‘isSelected = true / false’ prop. In a bid to reduce variants, I then created two nested components where the choice over style would be made:Default (by default placed within the component):‘isSelected = false’ - no visual ‘isSelected = true’ - tick iconCheckbox:‘isSelected = false’ - unselected checkbox ‘isSelected = true’ - selected checkboxProblemThe problem is, that when I override the nested component to use the checkbox variant instead of the default, when prototyping, and transitioning from ‘isSelected = true / false’ it will revert back to default nested component variant rather than retaining the override i’ve selected.Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi, I’m wondering if the view console button for the Figma Make browser moved or if it’s just gone? I appreciate the recent change that shows an address bar so I can go to specific pages, but I’d love for the console view button to come back. It seems like now I have to wait for a bug to happen and click “Fix for me” to get the console to appear? I’d like to toggle it on manually like we could before.

Hi everyone,I'm working on a Figma plugin that currently reads components present in the local file using the plugin API. This works fine for what's already placed on the canvas.However, my use case requires access to the full catalog of published components from team/org libraries — including components that haven't been used or instantiated in the current file. I have view-only access to these library files.From what I've found so far:figma.root.findAll() only returns nodes in the current file figma.teamLibrary.getAvailableLibraryComponentsAsync() was promising, but it only returns components that are already enabled/used — not the complete library There doesn't seem to be a way to enumerate all published components from an external library file within the plugin sandboxThe only working approach I've found is setting up a backend server that calls the Figma REST API (/v1/files/{key}/components) to fetch the full component list — but I'd prefer to avoid that complexity if possible.Que

Hi, I used to be able to move objects by 10 pixels in any direction while holding the measure to selection button (option or Alt + Shift and move). But now when I do this, the object does not move anymore, but it shows measurements to objects which are further away. Did I activate this by accident? I want to be able to move 10 pixels while measuring.

Hi community friends, is there a way to use Figma Make to generate iOS settings views based on either a sample Figma file with existing settings patterns, or an existing design system? My hope is to be able to either write down a list of settings labels and names in a text only format in the prompt box (Markdown, comma separated list, or anything like that), and have it pull together all the correct components for list cells, text labels, inputs, and controls based on a reference file. Hello! Is it possible to share a link to a file in FigJam that is available for editing to those who don’t have an account in Figma? We would like to use the FigJam file in a group brainstorming session for knowledge sharing, and some users told us they are asked to login and create an account first. Thank you in advance! 

This has been going for couple of years (I think) and looks sooo fckd up. Like, I often have same elements containing same interactions, on the same z-level and yet some always get their connections hidden unless I specifically select them. Slows me down quite a lot at times.Does anyone have this bug? And if it's not a bug (I can't even tell these days), what’s the logic behind the feature?Here’s the video of the issue
