Hey everyone,I'm working on a personal UI/UX case study for my portfolio – a redesign of the classic Among Us game interface. I'm running into a really frustrating issue with my component variants that I'm hoping someone can help me solve.**The Setup:**I've created a `Character_Card` component. This component has a property called `Status` with three variants:*   `Status=Crewmate`*   `Status=Ghost`*   `Status=Imposter`Each variant just changes the color of the character and the text label below it. Pretty simple stuff.**The Problem:**No matter which variant I select from the dropdown in the design panel, the instance on my screen is always stuck on the `Imposter` variant. It's like the component has decided it's an **among us always imposter** version. I've checked my layer naming conventions a dozen times and they seem correct (`Status=Crewmate`, etc.).Here's what I've tried:*   Detaching and re-attaching the instance.*   Restarting Figma.*   Checking for any conflicting nested compon

i want to scroll through my design when in prototype mode but i don’t want the cursor to be visible because it just makes it annoying. anyway to solve this?

I'm running into a small issue when switching icon variants inside a component instance.In general, I apply a specific color override to icons, and everything works fine in the main component: when I swap an icon, it keeps the overridden color as expected.However, when I use an instance of that component and change the icon variant (for example, from Brand A to Brand B), the color override disappears. The icon reverts to its default color, even though the rest of the component still respects the correct theme.What's odd is that this only happens in instances — in base components or standalone frames, the override persists just fine.[Get here](https://heyapks.net/block-blast/)Has anyone else experienced something like this? Hi Figma Community, I’m experiencing an issue with font rendering in my Figma prototype, and I could really use some help! The font is Apple DS Gothic Neo (an embedded font) The font looks fine when I’m designing, but when I view the prototype, the text appears distorted or uses a different font entirely. I’ve tried clearing my cache, restarting Figma, and even reinstalling the font, but the problem persists. Has anyone else faced this issue before? Are there any specific settings I should check, or is there a workaround? I’d appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to resolve this! Thanks in advance! 🙏

I’m trying to create this toggle. The overlapped area is its own component, since I don’t want it to change when the # of items of being updated and affecting the size/padding of the pills. I added an auto-layout and set the overlapped area to “ignore.”However, that part is now sitting on top of the other frames, even though it’s below them in the Layers panel. How do I keep it beneath?

 I created this shape from a mask (see left panel) and want to turn it into a vector. However, flattening it just gets rid of the mask like so: And all the boolean operations like union or intersect fills the shape with the stroke color: How do I work around this? Thank you

I have an icon and text in an autolayout. The text truncates as soon as I drag the frame smaller. If I have several of these frames in another autolayout next to each other I want the icon to disappear as well PLUS the text to truncate.Is there a way to do this? Also a workaround.

I have a text component in Figma. I want to reuse this component, but I need the font to be smaller. If I manually change the font size, when I switch the variant, it restores the original font size. I need the text to keep the size I want for this specific context.

Hello! I created a team project on an education plan linked to my school email. Since I just graduated, I will lose access to it soon but I have important projects on there that I don't want to loose. I already changed "ownership" of the project to my private email. But is that enough? Or do I need to get a paid plan to somehow transfer the files? I don’t quite understand where figma stores these files. Thank you in advance!

Hi guys, I just wrote an article about a problem my team and I have been facing recently after we reorganised our Figma component library (like adding new variants, deleting old ones, renaming things, etc)We found that some of the Theme variants were stubbornly stuck with an annoying gremlin ℹ️ icon and to “fix it” we were having to import all the components back into the file, no need to say it was a nightmare!I found an easy fix to it and you can find it in this article, it worked for 98% of our design files, the ones it didn’t unfortunately we had to swap them manually, however it still saves us a ton of time :) :https://medium.com/@anna.massad/fixing-that-pesky-%E2%84%B9%EF%B8%8F-error-in-figma-fast-and-friendly-517d3351ef51Hope it helps you guys!

Hi, I am new to Figma. I am taking some learning then I see that in prototype, under interaction, my action is not giving me property option to chose from. Is there something i am doing wrong?? 

In addition to using the "Automatically Detect Icons" function, can I manually "group" as "icon" by myself?Because the automatically detected icon size range is not what I want.

I was just checking my resources and found this for the first time. What I did was keep the PNGs of the design inside the file and added a link to where the design is available for purchase. Figma automatically captured this and displayed the community file like this. Previously, they would just remove the file, but now this happened. So, is this possible now? If yes, what’s the exact way to show your community designs like this?P:S. I’m doing this because Figma doesn’t allow me to sell directly in the community as I’m from Pakistan.

Since a few days ago when I copy text from the web and it contains links, these are including when pasting to Figma even when I use CMD+SHIFT+V. I have to “hover” the text, wait for the popover, click edit and then unlink. It’s frustrating to do this every time. Any workaround?

I’m relatively new to Figma and I need a bit of help.I want to create a size selection button for my clothing e-shop prototype.Each size selection should be highlighted with a fill independently when selected—meaning to say if I have size S,M,L,XL, I can only choose one option.Additionally, I also want a ‘unavailable’ option where the button cannot be interacted with.  Thank you so much! 😃 

Hello,  I’ve been playing with the new feature figma make, and when I upload a whole screen (frame) with a specific design, the redering comes out totally different and messes up the whole design. I’ve tried uploading a png instead of an image, and nothing, I’ve tried to “clean up” the frame and erase all the invisible elements of the frame, and nothing. Am I missing something? Is theres any way to make it work better? Any tips?

Hello, we are looking to set up a new Design System in my company and can’t decide on the 2 or 3 tier system for tokens. Due to very limited resources, we are leaning towards 2 tiers, but I really like the idea of Component-specific tokens (3rd tier).I have found a tutorial demonstrating the setup of Semantic tokens, but they were actually categorised and named as Component-specific (video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1O2sROtE3uI) Is this a usual practice? Could we define some Component specific tokens on the second level alongside Semantic tokens?  Any advice is very welcome. Thank you.

I’ve set up a condition where, when the toggle or switch is turned on, the dropdown menu becomes enabled, and when the toggle or switch is turned off, the dropdown menu becomes disabled.However, I noticed that when I turn the toggle off, the selected item in the dropdown resets to its default value.
