Hi Figma Community, I’m encountering an issue where the colors from my design system’s style guide are showing up as hex codes in my CMS file instead of the intended style guide colors. Everything was working fine until recently. Here’s some context: I’ve published a design system and linked it to another CMS file. The issue started suddenly, without any changes I’m aware of. The CMS file is showing hex codes where the design system colors should be applied. There haven’t been any changes to the naming conventions or structure of the design system. I’ve tried refreshing and re-linking the design system to the CMS file, but the problem persists. Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have any insights into what might be causing this? Could this be related to a recent Figma update or syncing issue? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hello dear community I have a main file and have created a branch from it. As it happens in day-to-day business, the main file has changed. The problem now: The addition in the main file is not displayed in the preview of the same (i.e. not in the branch). Why?

I noticed that when using Font Awesome inside Figma slides, they are not supported 😦 Do you have it in your roadmap? I will continue using them inside a Design File and pasting them here… but it’s a longest process. Thx

When I want to export some assets from Figma in Dev Mode it shows the “Downloading Contents 0 / 93” prompt which takes an eternity to complete. What is it downloading and why? I can see all Images in Figma so there shouldnt be anything left to download…

Hi Everyone Does anybody know how to make this kind of curve text on Figma?

(I tried searching for a topic similar to mine, but didn’t find any) So, I wanted to ask if there’s a way to use an instance of a design/frame across multiple pages, without having to create a component of it? (kind of like mirroring a design to separate pages) I’ll try to explain it this way if you can’t visualize it: I have a design on “Masterfiles” page. I try to keep my master designs in this page. I have a mobile layout of this design (using a dynamic variable) in a different page (eg. “Mobile version”). I have another layout (tablet) of the same design (using a dynamic variable), again, in a different page (eg. “Tablet version”). Because currently, Figma doesn’t allow for Devs to change the Dynamic variables, I have to keep separate pages for each variable definition. Now every time I have updates on the Masterfile page, is there a way that I can update designs on the Masterfile without having to update the Mobile and Tablet versions as well? Does anybody know how to create this cool image hover effect as shown on this festival’s website? When you hover over the linked categories, a different image pops up and the image gently floats and slides a bit across the web page before returning to its original location. I’ve tried creating a variety of different frames with hover interactions, turning the images into components and smart animating - but I can’t quite figure it out. I’ve been able to make the image slide by creating two separate frames and adding image components + after delay variants, but I don’t know how to get the image to reset to its original location each time it hovers over a link. Right now, once the hover interaction is triggered, the image will slide into a new position and stay there for all future occurrences of hover. Any suggestions?

Hello everyone, I’m experiencing an issue with stokes and would need some advice. Context: I initially added upper strokes to some sections in my design, specifically in the “Certifications” and “Newsletter Subscription” areas (see the first screenshot). Later, I decided to remove these strokes and made the necessary changes in the design editor. Problem: Despite deleting the strokes, they still appear when I preview my prototype (see the second screenshot). I’ve double-checked that the strokes are removed in the design layers, but they seem to persist in the prototype view. Has anyone encountered a similar issue or does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hi, i have tried searching, but i simply cannot find a similar situation to mine. I have copied some content over from my FigJam to save time, and at the same time i am not handy enough with Figma jet to use components and variables effectivly. As you might see in my project - i want to have the buttons that are beneath eachother in the left side to activiate different carreer paths. What is the best way to do this considering the contents of the project? i have tried many ways, but cannot find a simple solution. opening a overlay or similar does not seem to be the proper way. I guess that making the entire “hierarchy” a component with different variables would be time consuming and advanced? There has to be a better way 😛

I’ve created the components and put another button component in it. When i trying to swap nested “button” components it’s works at canvas, but doesn’t update in prototype mode.

As I am a professor at the Academy of Applied Studies Polytechnic, where we have a UX UI Design department, I would first like to know how to add my institution (mentioned above) to the list of institutions on the link (Figma for higher education) for getting a free professor/student Figma license. Considering that I am a professor teaching UX design and UI design courses at this Academy, Figma is an essential tool for my work that I must present to my students as a resource they will use in the future. Currently, there are 56 students, and there will be many more in the coming years. Since students (and professors) cannot select the Academy from the list of institutions to obtain a free license, they are unable to use this program in its full functionality. I have a prototype with a main component containing few variants. Each variants is synchronised with a global variable. A menu is used to change the global variable and Navigate to the same frame containing the main component and it works fine the variant is well displayed but the animations contained in the variant (components in the main component) are not reset. Meaning that they play only once… I have to reset the full prototype if I want to see the animation of one variant again. I tried to check the ‘Reset component state’ when I navigate to the main frame containing the main component without success… Any clue on what I missed ? Thanks for your help.

I had an interactive trailer carousel with 8 movie trailers. It was a component set, to which I tried adding two control buttons (a play/pause and a mute/unmute), but none of them seemed to work when inside of a component (basically, the instance couldn’t be prototyped and prototyping the component itself resulted in the instance controlling the original component). I’ve spent most of the day trying to remake the component from scratch, but nothing is working. Heeeelp, pls…

I want some help in conditional interaction in Figma.

Hi all, I have a screen that has 2 options: Option A and Option B In prototype, once I select one of these 2, I go throught some pages which are the same in both Options A & B. Then I come across another selection. In this screen I have Option C and Option D Now the next page shows content based if user selected Option C or D. After that, once user finishes that flow, they are presentated with another page based on Option A or B. My question: How can I change the prototype flow based on the “selected option” in the background? Is there a token I can create and based on that token value the flow (arrows) go in different directions? Is this possible? Thanks in advance!

When I create a text and then click the Style icon on the right menu, then click on the Plus icon on the Text styles button nothing happens. Is there a chance I’m missing something? Help!
