Hello, I had a free Figma account until the expiry, then I didn’t work with Figma for two months. Last week I came back and to my surprise, all of my draft design is totally gone, I mean the files are there but inside it’s like a totally blank projects. No colors, No settings, No Layers, No assets, Nothing! It’s very very frustrating. I never had this experience with Adobe XD. I upgraded my account to pro to make sure I access to all version history. but there is no version history as well. Just one point in version history from two months ago and that one is also a blank project. I’m confused, how can I get my design back?

Hi! I’m new to the concept of variables and tokens. I have several Figma files, and I’ve been using a style library until now. I can assign my library to every new file I created. How does it work with variables and tokens? Should I create them in a library? Is this something I’ll have to replicate on each file?

I searched, but dont know what the issue is… hope theres any help! I need to use Figma for school, and have put my school email in a verification thing. When I go to that site as linked by my professor it says I am already verified, and links me to the Figma browser interface. Once there, I cannot access any professional features and am asked to get a professional plan by paying. The automated customer support email tells me I am on a «Starter account» - so I gather I am NOT verified. How do I fix this? I need to join my group’s team… Thanks!

I had a starter account and was working on a design file for some time on the web. I had also opened it several times on the mobile app in past few weeks. Today I opened it on my chrome tab (it was already open) only to see it refresh and then I am not able to access or find that file again. I have NOT deleted it, hence I am seeing nothing on the deleted files list. Please help me as this is frustrating, disappointing and scary as the file had a lot of hard work put in in one month.

I am trying to set up master template options for my team in Figma Slides, which is cooking my brain. I can’t delete default colours that are not in use and I can’t add master colour options. 🤯 How do I edit these? and give them correct names and delete duplicates ? Then I can only find assets when I have something selected on the slide…

there is spinning disk and flickering effect and idk how to unite them? please help…

Hello, I’ve been using Figma for 3 years, and recently I noticed some options/tools are missing in the latest version. Earlier, I used to see different templates and options for desktop and mobile, but now I can’t seem to find them. Has something changed with the new update? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! This is a function of browser - there’s a button to select, but it’s not working when i hit select. opening a link from outlook or slack pulls it up in the browser for me. did something break?

My layers panel suddenly disappeared in both design and slide mode. New presentations do show the panel, but this particular one no longer does. Duplicating it also doesn’t show the panel. This has nothing to do with grid view–it has no impact

Hello all I have created a little animated icon where a traffic cone wiggles a little on hover/mouse enter. I also have an animated button, that changes from orange to blue on hover. I can’t figure out how to connect the two - so when I hover over the button, the button changes colour and the traffic cone wiggles too. And vice-versa. Is there a specific way to set this up, if it’s possible at all? Any help is most appreciated 🙂

A colleague was having an issue where she can’t see layered objects (images, nested groups, etc) inside a shared document. Others team members able to see the elements and the document looks fine - is this most likely a memory issue on her end? I suggested she try erasing the cache and restarting, which seems to have helped for now, but I wonder if there’s anything else she should be doing to avoid this issue in the future.

Hi there, I’ve encountered an issue where the font isn’t displayed correctly in certain prototypes. Specifically, in some cases, the font appears cropped in the preview. You can see this issue in the screenshot, where the letter “g” is not fully visible. This is really frustrating, and I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same problem or could help me with a solution? Thanks in advance for any assistance!

When I preview or mirror my designs on my phone, some elements appear over fixed element when I am scrolling. As the title says. We are in the process of moving all our files from individual drafts to a paid team. I’m the owner and I moved mine no problem, but the other designer (set as admin) on our team can not move any of his files into the team or to individual projects. He has the newest update to Figma, and I do not. He is set as admin, with edit access both at the team level and the project levels. Please help!

Dear Figma Community, I’ve enabled AI mode in the settings, but I’m having trouble figuring out how to use AI in my Figma design file. I don’t have access to the new panel, and I don’t see any AI options when right-clicking in the menu panel. Could someone please share a screenshot of the older panel and guide me on where to find the AI tool in the previous version of the UI? Thanks in advance Kindly Regards, Marcus

Hello everyone. I have a shared design system for my team to use. When they add a component from the shared design system to their project, the ability to duplicate an item (command-D) within that component doesn’t seem to work. Is this normal? For example, I have a list of bullet points with a tick icon. Each text box and icon is grouped together, and I’m using auto layout to distribute them vertically. To add a new bullet point to list, I was using command-D to do this. But once it’s brought into a new project, command-d stops working and I can’t add a new bullet point. Have I potentially set up the component wrong? Any help most appreciated. 🙂

This videos are really helpful but there are some problems that I am facing maybe because of some minor errors I’m trying to replicate everything shown in the video but got stacked since last 2 days in auto layout thing after adding auto layout frame and renaming it as shown in the video and adding a description the other frames are not moving someone please helppppppp.

Hi All Looking for some guidance on the interaction. Is it possible to set up vertical scrolling that switches to horizontal scrolling when you reach a specific section on a page? This is for desktop. Currently I have set an option to animate a horizontal section on mouse enter - but it’s not working/looking well. Would like to be able to set so all vertical sections scroll vertically when using mouse to scroll down the page, and when you hit a section that’s set to horizontal scrolling - it does this while still using your mouse to scroll down the page. Effectively switching between the two when appropriate. I hope this makes sense!? It’s a bit like parallax scrolling where you reach a section with more information that automatically scrolls content horizontally. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hey, 👋 community. I am having trouble seeing the “Appearance” parameter from the right panel (see the picture), which has disappeared. However, if I select only one page, I notice that some properties belonging to “Appearance” are shown at the top. I felt it was pretty like a bug, but I would like to ask if anyone has the same issue. Thanks!

I published the library both 1) in my Figma Org and 2) in the Figma community. For the public web docs I generated deep-links to my components by “Copy link to selection ⌘L”. When I do the ⌘L thing, the URLs leads to the file in my Figma file system. Is there a way to generate a deep-link that leads to the Community version of the same file? I know I can generate an overall link to the community file by clicking the share icon “link”: But I’d need a community deep-link, like the one created with ⌘L.
