I’ve got a bunch of templates that I’d like to share with other creators in my network. However I don’t want to just share the whole Figma file with them. I’d like them to click a button on my website that adds the frame/section to their clipboard and they can open up their own Figma file and paste it directly in there. I can’t seem to find any walkthroughs on this, so I thought here could help.

Made changes in the component library. No matter what I do the file using the components will show the blue dot to update when it should, but selecting update is reverting to an older version. Even if I copy components directly from the library and paste them in, my local file will show they need updating and when I do so they revert to an old version. Causing so many problems.

I remember I accidentally opened the emoji keyboard on Figma for Windows but now I don’t remember how I did it. Can someone lend me a hand on how to do it please?

This is because I’m directly directed to the google SSO page when i type in the email I want to reset the password for How do I work around this ?

We have some funny noises inside of the alpha after exporting in png. Especially visible in gradients when they are open up in Photoshop.

I’ve noticed a change to the Starter tier. I’ve already once shared a prorotype publicly 2 weeks ago, and it worked. Several days later, I locked it to private. Today, for the same prototype, Figma prompts me to move to a paid tier if I want to share it publicly again. Same flow of actions, but this time I get the treatment as if I want to password-protect it → move to Paid. Is this a bug or a silent change to the Starer tier? Regards

Hey all, I’ve noticed this really nice update where Figma has added UI kits as a library that i can now plug into and you can pull in examples from these design system that are editable but also have components in them. I was wondering whether we have the power to publish our own design systems as a UI kit for our teams and create examples? Thanks

Share a frozen state. Can I share a current development status as a prototype with customers? For internal presentations. They should not see the current work.

Hi everyone, I’m encountering some issues with Figma while working on a slide deck template: When I publish the deck and attempt to use it in a new project, Figma freezes whenever I try to add a slide from the published deck. Additionally, when working within the template deck, if I copy a slide and try to paste it into another deck, the paste operation gets stuck. Has anyone else experienced this? Could there be a specific cause, or is there a workaround to resolve this freezing issue? Thanks in advance for any insights or solutions!

My tools bar is now at the bottom in my Figma. How can i retrieve it back to the top left corner

I’ve been using Figma for several years but suddenly today, I am no longer able to edit my designs. I have to ‘request edit access’ with our administrator (who should be me). Seems like I’ve been hacked but maybe it’s user error. I tried emailing Figma but weirdly they automatically responded and asked me to post here.

With the main component selected I can create all of the properties that I will want instances to have through the Properties Panel as one would expect. Inside of the component when I have a selection of variants that I want to assign a State such as hover, the option to make that selection ceases to exist in the Properties Panel. I can select Boolean properties that I set up on the main component but Variant Properties not so much.

I am new to Figma so I am practicining by uploading emails that I can try to duplicate. However, when I upload the image image that I saved to my computer into Figma, it doesn’t have the laters from the original email. The only layer is the image itself. How can I separate layers from a single image so that I can utilize those images to build out my email in Figma?

I’m working on a UI kit at work (which I unfortunately cannot share) and I am hoping to better understand how to best structure components on Figma so that they do not require significant memory consumption. We are running into problems where our prototypes are loading really slowly and I think this might be because the current way we are building components is very memory intensive. I am hoping to better understand specifics about how Figma loads in components to make better decisions about how to structure the components of the UI Kit. According to a comment in this thread, when you make an instance of a component, Figma loads in the entire variant set of the component. I’m wondering how Figma behaves or loads in components in the following scenarios: If a parent component has a child component with many variants, do all the variants of the child component get loaded in when an instance of the parent component is created? How does Figma load components with an instance swap property

Having trouble to paste Google spreadsheet cells as Stickies in FigJam. They paste as a table. Is this a regression? It used to work. Will I have to rely on Miro to do my work?

Hello, I would like to send a copy of a design from one Figma account to another, basically transferring ownership to the client. Though in the drop-down next to the project name the “Transfer” and “Send a copy” options are greyed out. Does anyone know why these options are not available? Many thanks.

Hello! I would like to know what are the best practices to be able to keep updating the Material Design 3 kit when new versions come out. The questions I haven’t been able to answer are; what if I need two different colors of the outlined button, can I add a variant to the component and still be able to update the kit? What exactly can I change on a component, only color values? can I create a new style and apply it to the button or I have to keep using the same style name and only change the color values, that will be tricky because if the style is used on other components I won’t be able to change it I would need a new style or another style from the kit but if I swap the style can I still updating? Another topic is how do I update the kit when a new version comes out, I got a copy of the file and changed the name my plan is to make the changes I need and then publish the library to use the component on other files, is that plan a good plan? If someone can help me or point me to the

Is it any figma function to get the file size at a given moment in time? This question comes related to the fact that I would like to check, by plugin code, the size of the current figma file before and after detaching some components.

Is it just me, or is it a nightmare figuring out organizational plan-settings in Figma? I feel like there is so many things that could be improved.

Running pretty much any asynchronous code will result in the error: Uncaught (in promise) RuntimeError: function signature mismatch Is my env setup wrong? I’ve gone through three brand new project setups and get this error every time. Has anyone else faced this issue? For context: I have an async function at the root of my project plugin code, even running await new Promise(resolve => setTimeout(resolve, 1000)); will result in the error. As far as I can tell the code will keep running, as long as it doesn’t rely on the asynchronous piece. The error will only happen on the return from the await-ed funciton. Please advise.

Hi all, I am aware package.json’s license property that talks about how should the plugin/package is permitted to be used etc. However i am curious how to add license attributions to any open source packages that were used while building/developing/bundling a plugin.
