HI all. I’ll start with a warning: I am in a huge hurry to get a project completed with Figma and I am still new to the platform so I may not have done enough due diligence to figure this out myself, I’m trying to learn on the go but finding Figma to be a lot less intuitive in some regards than I was expecting.

I’m familiar with the concept of multi-state objects, buttons etc and find the process of creating them quite intuitive in Adobe applications but with Figma the process just seems a lot more complicated.

I’ve created multiple variants of several buttons to account for hover and click but then all of these variants are appearing in the prototype preview just as they do in the UI (which is also frustrating).

Am I missing something really obvious?

Hi there,

Thank you for using Figma! I understand that it takes time to get accustomed to a new product. From what I gather, you’d like to use variants in your prototype. I believe this article will help you create a prototype with variants:

I hope it helps. If you have more questions, please feel free to let us know!

Thanks,
