Hi, I’m having an issue with the text layers in the canvas of my projects not loading. They load just fine in the prototype. It started happening after I downloaded the most recent update for the desktop app. But it also happens on the web app. I submitted a help ticket about it two days ago and have only gotten the ‘thanks for reaching out’ email. Hi, community! I am dealing with an issue and I’d like to see if anyone experienced the same and can share the solution. Any ideas to test are welcome. So in my company’s Design System, we have components that when we activate a toggle the padding can vary, like a button that by default has 16px left padding but when the button has an icon the padding is only 12px. So if it was the other way around I’d just solve this with, a not-very-nice hack of, having the icon inside a box with the additional padding, but in this opposite scenario I’m not finding a good solution for this. Did anyone have the same issue and want to share the solution? I’m trying to avoid a new variant for this only because of padding, but it’s not easy. How the component looks like: I’ve found a solution using variables, although it’s not possible to connect a variable with a property toggle, right?

Please, someone help. I moved the project, but it dissapeared. There is a link to it, but I can’t access it. Support is paid, what should I do???

Hi there, The new UI3 uses an updated gray font color which is lighter than before. At the same time, there are new light-gray background boxes behind the gray fonts & icons. The lighter texts and darker backgrounds reduced contrast and compromised readability significantly. In fact parts of the UI fail WCAG level-AA color contrast. Here’s how I use Figma to quickly test color contrast for accessibility in my designs; And are we using a smaller font in the UI3 to make up for the added padding? (other people already posting about padding but the weenie fonts making me feel real old today). I have perfect vision and on first impressions this visual update immediately strains my eyes.

Continuing the discussion from @Chad_Ashley Can I swap out an image and have the layer name update?: Is there a resolution to this issue? I have the same need/want to be able to have my layer names update with the image being updated.

In my app I use Stylus functions to create some color styles that are modified versions of other colors. Examples: desaturate($blue-500, 50%) or shade($accent-bg-color,25%) I set up Figma variables for the base colors. I think I can mimic lighten/darken effects in color styles that are based on variables. But is there a way to mimic a partial desaturation in a color style that is linked to a variable, or even just on a layer that uses the color variable? I’d love to be able to include these dynamic colors in the Figma library so that if we change variables the color functions update automatically as they do in our CSS. Thanks for any help!

How do I remove this shitty UX button that is being force promoted to the top of the right panel? I shouldn’t have to create a random frame size just because it’s also a default size for Slides. I’ve accidentally clicked on it and created a new Slides page several times.

Is it possible to connect all my different account´s in Figma? In that case, how can I do that??

In the previous UI I could copy-paste photos on the top of the background using shortcut, but when I switched to the new UI I couldn’t do it anymore. So basically I got Image and background in the one object Fill. The was even educational presentation Figma shared: Have anyone experience the same, that this is now working anymore? Is the feature still working to you?

Hi everyone, When a linked design is updated in Figma, does the JIRA-Figma design update automation trigger for every individual update, or does it group updates together and run at a set interval? How can I add an additional icon as a Variant using the Instance Swap property? I’m not sure about the steps to do this. Could you guide me through the process?

We transferred the project from another account to our own account. We published the libraries and linked them to our Figma files. Unfortunately, component instances do not work. When we click on go to main component, we get the error “you don’t have access to file”. Our project has hundreds of pages. It is not possible to import all the components one by one in a project consisting hundreds of pages. Need your urgent help regarding this issue please.

So I was just thinking about Android lock screens and how we all use them differently some people just keep it simple with a clock, others load it with widgets for quick news updates. what do most people actually use their lock screen for? Widgets, news updates, or maybe just showing off

Here’s the situation: I created a molecule component that includes my “icon button” component. (To clarify: the “icon button” is part of the first library file containing atom components, while my molecule is part of the second library containing molecules. Both libraries are connected to each other.) I set preferred values for the icon button using all the icons available in my library. However, when I use an instance of my molecule (which includes the icon button), and I attempt to change the icon to another one from the preferred set, I’m also seeing icons from another library. This other library is disconnected, so I have no idea why these icons are showing up. Any idea how to solve this?

Anyone else having this bug, where things you paste, or randomly-based, overflow the container? Every time y paste things auto layout seems to behave the worst way possible. And as soon as you double click the component or break it, it gets fixed. Se Video for reference pliz 🔗

I developed a plugin for Figma and want to publish it, but when I try to publish, I get an error saying, “We detected a change to your account details. Please contact support@figma.com to publish this plugin.” I did change my account password (almost a week ago), BUT when I emailed the provided address (support@figma.com), they responded that since I have a free plan, they can’t help me. So, in order to help the Figma community by publishing a completely free plugin, I have to pay? I hardly even use Figma and don’t need a subscription. Please resolve this issue and help me remove this error.

Hi all, I have a frame with many interactive components, including a tree view with different levels of collapsible elements. When presenting, i can open or collapse any level. Now i need 2 buttons/actions : one to open all items, and one to collapse them all. What i did for now is I created 2 frames : Frame1 with all items closed, and Frame2 with all items opened. And 2 buttons : “Open all” that navigates to Frame2, and “Close all” to Frame1 Problem is : when i’m in Frame1, i can open any item i want. How to make the “Close all” button working on this frame? “Logical” way would be to add an interaction to navigate to frame1, checking “reset component state”. But you can’t link to the same page you’re in. Any idea ? (ideally without using variables to record each individual open/close state for each level) Thanks !

Hi everyone, I’ve been working on a presentation for school and it’s basically done except I want to add a gif to my last slide and I’m experiencing a size issue. I don’t know if there’s something I’m overlooking with the layers because if I try to copy and paste there is an background image that doesn’t belong there. then the other thing is the gif becomes full size, and takes on the entire size of the slide. I have been following this tutorial but maybe there have been some updates to pitch deck so it doesn’t exactly match. Therefore I have no idea what to do. Just looking for any help I can get. Process (in Prototyping): Set Variable (String) Select Target Add String value Whenever I copy a String using Copy as Text, say, “₱700.00”, from a textbox I have in the Frame, and then trying to paste said value in the Value textbox under Set Variable, it always exits the small Set Variable window and not let me paste “₱700.00” into the Value textbox. I don’t know how else I could paste symbols. Trying the shortcut Alt+8369 on the small window will only get me an unreadable text (see attached image). Help!

Hi everyone, I’m new to Figma and am trying to make an interactive personality quiz for my university assignment. The quiz has 5 questions so I made 5 frames for the different questions. For each personality result I set a variable and everytime the user chose a result that corresponded with said personality I set a “set variable” interaction to add 2 to the variable each time. In the last frame, I added a conditional to set which result frame the user will get based on the points from their answers. However, the result seemed random and did not correspond to the points given through the set variable interaction. When I use the set variable interaction, does it add value to the variable in the frame where I added the interaction only or the variable as a whole? Is there any way for me to troubleshoot the system?? Sorry if I’m not clear enough 😓😓😓
