Hi. I’m trying to create script, which will upload images from local pc storage to Figma file. I do it through token, but get error 403 “Invalid Token”. The token is taken from account - settings - security. It is correctly written, the token account and file account is one and mine. May be the issue with scopes, but how to check it… while generating token I extended all rights that I could. i cant select some elements like text boxes and pictures but i can also select other elements, this only happens to one file and its very important for me to finish this but this ruins my work flow, any help?

It’s hard to work on Figma since the last update. Give me back my old UI, This you can keep it to yourself. I can’t even find options which were right in front of my eyes in the old UI. I used to work really fast, Now the same work take 3-4more hours to complete. … Either change it back, Or god help me, I’ll better die working with adobe XD.

I’m on the last day of a massive deadline crunch, and while I’m thrilled to see the variables feature added thanks to the update, I am mortified that I have lost hours of work because some older font weights “are no longer available”. I’m here partly to just express my shock and horror, but also: If there is any way to recover my work QUICKLY, please let me know. Thanks P.S. Yes, many of the styles are in components, so fixes can be global. However, I am still rehearsing a call to the director to explain the delay. There will be a delay. P.P.S. I am using the Open Sans font family, and Open Sans Medium has been eliminated. I don’t yet know if that’s the only weight.

Why did the official delete my files? My plan is starter. After upgrading to the new version, why did you delete my data without my knowledge? I need to recover all my historical files quikly! Please get back to me immediately. 🙃

Добрый день! При сохранении пдф файла, когда открываю в браузере - всё отлично (с первого по последний слайд всё хорошо открывается). Но при открытии файла на компьютере, он начинается не с начала (где-то с пятого слайда). Уже и несколько раз пробовала скачивать, всё равно одно и тоже. В чём может быть проблема? Заранее спасибо 🙏🏼

Eek! Every time I type a letter with an accent (for example: Alt+130 =é) in my Figma file, it deletes the previously typed letter. The word “différent” comes out as “diférent” leaving my French document full of spelling mistakes due to the deleted letters. It wasn’t doing that before so I’m guessing it’s a new bug. Has anyone had this same experience and do you have a fix for it? Thanks!

As seen in the picture Figma variables userd as 3 collections by the name tokens, alias then semantic. Semantic variables have been assigned to element in design. With the time being, and while using many designers, there are unused variables in each collection. Is there a way to check them out, so we can safely remove from the collection/s.

Hello, My uni id got deactivated a few weeks back, I am now unable to access my Figma account that was connected to it - that’s about 3 years of design work. I have sent an email to the Figma support, would really appreciate if anyone can help me here:))

There is a blue box that sometimes appears around some of the tools on the design panel. For example, the box that I’ve drawn in the screenshot below. And upon clicking enter, it changes the toggle. I wonder if anyone knows how to trigger this as a keyboard shortcut? I stumble on this a few times but do not know how to recreate it. I figure it’ll save me a lot of time instead of having to access the design panel via my cursor. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with compatibility between Auto Layout and Smart Animate. I have two components, accordion lists, with several variants that collapse and expand through Smart Animate. Whenever I apply Auto Layout to the frame with the components, they lose the Smart Animate effect, the page twitches and then the accordion list expands with Instant effect. Hello folks ! I’m in charge of a very large multi-brand design system and it’s so complexe, because each one need specific customization ! I’m scared it begin to be a mess soon, for now we have 4 brands in the design system. Does any one have faced that ?

I am having issue with fonts. The first one, on some files and sometimes I can not add text or edit the existing text. When I try with shortcut or from the menu, it doesn’t work. I have uninstall some of the plugins as it might cause the issue, but still not working on some of my files (on same account) The second thing is, the file that I have build the design system on, I can not see the fonts. Fonts seem missing. Please see the attachment

I’m on the Starter plan and I usually just browse through all my files that are not under any team under Recent. Now, they’re all gone. All I did was just delete a team, and then, they’re all gone. Has this happened to anyone of you? What do I do?

Please search for existing topics before posting! Press 🔍 at the upper right to search. Frames in absolute position moving randomly when the file reloads or refreshes. Have to manually re-position them.

Hello, I cannot play with boolean properties anymore. Maybe something has recently been updated and I’m not familiar with the new UI or maybe something is buggy on my end, whichever way, could you please have a look at the attached test file and help me figure out what is happening ? Upon creating a component with two variants, I add a boolean property, which immediately indicates on the component property panel that it is “not used within component”. I then head to each variant, one after another, in an attempt to specify whether the new property should be True or False, however it does not appear in their property panel. Alternatively, I have looked for the “Apply variable” button in the variants Appearance panel, but the button doesn’t show. This is creating major delays in a prototype I am preparing for a client, so any help will be appreciated. Bets regards, Baptiste

I’ve been a loyal user of Figma for quite some time now, and while I love the platform, I find myself increasingly frustrated with its billing practices—particularly when it comes to FigJam. Cancelling FigJam should be straightforward, yet it feels unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming. For a multi-million company like Figma, this lack of transparency and ease is disappointing, if not entirely dishonest. Why should users have to jump through hoops to cancel a subscription they no longer need? It feels like an intentional attempt to retain revenue by making the process frustrating enough for users to give up. Figma has built its reputation on user experience and innovation, but practices like this undermine that trust. Surely, a company of this calibre can do better—providing an honest, user-friendly way for people to manage their subscriptions. If anyone else has faced this issue, how did you handle it? And Figma, if you’re listening, it’s time to fix this. Users deserve better.

We have two main libraries, a “Component” library and a “Data” library made up of text variables that we reference in the Component library. The Component library is constantly running out of memory and says that Imported Components are using 30% or memory. I checked through the whole file and not a single external component is being used. Do internal instances of local components count as “Imported Components”? If not, how could a few text variables use that much memory?

I used to have both Figma and Figma beta on my desktop, a few days ago it told me to update on next launch message like always and when I did, it didn’t run correctly anymore. I deleted the app and reinstalled it from Figma main source, but now it’s not coming up at all. No error, no reaction. Anyone else having this issue?

I was previously subscribed to the Education Plan. However, when I attempted to renew my subscription, the process failed. Following this, I noticed that my files were affected. While I managed to fix the permissions, I discovered that some files are missing and cannot be found in either the drafts section or the trash.

I often use Miro to create a Mood Board for a project. I would love to do it in Figma but I can’t do it because of the current image limitations. The screenshots get very blurry when I paste into FigJam. The same happens in Figma.

I’ve installed Figma desktop on my Macbook M1 but everytime I put the computer to sleep it keeps waking up. I have narrowed this down to the Figma desktop client that must be syncing which wakes up the laptop. I have shut down all apps and this is the culprit. Does anyone else have this issue? Any solution beside quitting the app at the end of the day?
