Hi Figma Community, I hope everyone is doing well. I’m currently experiencing an issue where I’m unable to access any of my drafts. Despite them being my files, I’m receiving a message that I don’t have access to them. I’ve double-checked that I’m logged into the correct account, and I haven’t made any changes to permissions or moved the files to a different workspace. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue? If so, I would greatly appreciate any advice or solutions you could share. I’ve tried clearing my cache, updating my browser, and logging in and out, but the problem persists. Thank you in advance for your help!

hello I am a beginner on sigma and I have a phone page that separates into several frames I would like to be able from a burger menu which also consists of several frames connected each frame of the burger menu to each frame of my page of my phone page but I can't do it because when I try it makes me join to the parent frame how can I do thank you in advance 

Hey all, I just joined a new team and their figma instance is shockingly slow. It appears to be heavily used with many teams and many projects within those teams. I’m used to troubleshooting file and library performance, but not app slowness. Have you ever encountered this? I’m curious about what contributes to this and how to alleviate it.

Im’ receiving an error when I try to post a Figma link into the Design option within Jira. I can post links to Figma in comments with no problems but getting this error when I try to post a Figma design link using the “pen” icon in my jira ticket. I can open the url to my Figma frame from any browser. Why isn’t Jira accepting my link when linking to a Figma url? ## Design not found Design could not be linked because it was not found in Figma. Please check the URL and try again.

Can someone please explain how this mirroring feature works? Couldn’t figure it out myself :(( 

Hello!I was wondering whether it’s possible to automate exporting frames in a png format to our company’s server/database via any API/plugin. We want to include the images in our online documentation. To prevent time consuming manual reuploads in the future if mockups change, we want to automate the proccess and redownload images in a recurring manner or push changes when needed.Do you have any solutions or suggestions on what could we look into?

Hi!I’ve created a flavor selector as an overlay on my product detail page. I’m using variables to add, subtract and verify that the correct amount of products/flavors is selected.When i click my “add to cart” button. I’m trying to reset the overlay so that the prototype can loop.The thing is that I’ve set up the different flavors as modes (i’m limited to 4) but when setting my product counter to 0 when tapping the “add to cart” button only the first mode is effected.ex.On tap - Set variable “bottles_selected” to 0.I’ve tried:On tap - Set variable “bottles_selected” to “bottles_selected:Lemon” - “bottles_selected:Lemon”&On tap - Set variable “bottles_selected” to “bottles_selected:Lemon” * 0The first example works only for the first flavor in the modes and the others doesn’t work at all.I’m quite new to variables so hoping for a quick fix :)

Hello.I have some problems with elements that are rotated, since the x and y axes are affected by this rotation aswell.For my use case I need the original x and y off the absoluteBoundingBox, and the rotation value.Example of an ellipsis: Pre rotation position:X: 242, Y: 283Post rotation position:Rotation 25 degrees.X: 142, Y: 330Is there someone who’s math is smarter than mine, who can help me retrieve the original x and y values, and still have the rotation value? Also it mustn’t affect the figma element, i just need the values.Thank you in advance.

Hi, Is it possible to view all spacings at once in a Figma frame? Found this post on Dribbble as an example: I already saw some people suggest using ‘View’ > ‘Show dimensions’ but I don’t have that option. Does anyone know if I can achieve this with a shortcut? Thanks

I’m working on an onboarding experience for a fashion app, when the user onboards they can set their sizes in a set of screens.I’m trying to build a prototype where the user can select multiple sizes, and if 1 or more is selected the CTA state turns to active, if 0 the state changes to deactive, so far I’ve got this working but only on the 1st size pill in the list (UK 2 in screenshot), for some reason it doesn’t work on the rest, clicking any other size does nothing but they’re all using the same component.I’ve got 2 variables, size selected = false, CTA active = false. With conditionals of: If size select=false, on click, set size select=true and CTA active=true (and vice versa)Can anyone help how I’d achieve this? I tried adding a new variant with a size selected value>= 1 but it didn’t work, I feel like I’m on the right track with this but I can’t work it out!Design for context:

I noticed recently that copy + paste properties (from shortcut and menu) no longer works on Auto Layout elements. e.g. I used to be able to copy use it to copy horizontal gap between items, but now I can only do this by manually entering the values. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, as it’s sloowwwwiinnnnng me down heaps. Thanks community🙏

Hi everyone,I have a Feed item component, in there I have a static header and a content placeholder (also a new component).I want to replace that content placeholder with a new component that has DIFFERENT height (along with color and text).Now, when I do select the placeholder and swap the components - the new component has everything except the height! The height is still higher from the original placeholder even though I set to hug content. Original file with all components.​​​​​​Here is how it looks when I swap instance: Here is the video of me showing the problem:  MAIN GOAL:I just want that when I swap the placeholder, it changes to the new component (with the width, height and everything else...) 

 I’m having an issue with creating a reusable list component that can have various amounts of list items that scrolls correctly.I created a list item component group with 15 list items, embedded that into a list item drop down. I was hoping to just hide list items in that drop down component instance but the issue I’m having is the container keeps the original height which leaves a large white space at the bottom of my scroll. How can I create this without having to make a list item component variant for each number if list items I need and have it scroll correctly? (This works but seems insane) 

Is there a way to replace the word Secondary with Primary in layers I select?  

Hey hi; not sure it’s of any help or concern to anyone - I know we have tons of topics abt this issue with icons but I think not with text? However, to me it just happened that in an instance, once I changed the text, it retained it’s color when changing the variants of that instance that had a different text color: in the instance below I changed the text to “asdasd” when it had the rightmost variant (disabled), then changed to the left variant (primary) and the text color (grey) was kept from the disabled state. However, I messed around with it a bit and after I changed the “main”(?) variant of the button (the top leftmost “primary”, the one I started with from which I just copied and did modifications to create the other variants) it updated the text of ALL of the variants: so, I changed it to “text” and all the others got the same text + color; I then fixed the wrong colors of the rest of the variants and suddenly the instance started working as expected: changed the text t

I noticed a bug that has recently appeared sometime in the past two weeks dealing with autolayout and nested components. Our team uses master components so that we can push style changes to all variants quickly. It works great and helps keep things tidy. The only issue with this is that if you want a full-width component (for instance, a button you want to expand to the size of the mobile screen), you would normally have to take these steps: Drag a variant instance onto the frame Double click to go from the variant to the master button frame Change Resizing from “Hug Contents” to “Fill Container” Adjust the width of button width as necessary This has historically worked but now whenever these actions are done, trying to set any Resizing option automatically chooses Fixed Width. It is about high time that Figma fixes the visibility of grids in designs. There is NO REASON that the grid has to be showing on every single page of my design when I am trying to make adjustments to a single page. THEN, clicking the eye to hide the grid hides it everywhere. This needs serious work. It is annoying. And it keeps designers from using the grid method because it is just so poorly done in FIgma. Sorry. This was a purely rant post. But had to be said.

When attempting to swap the instance of a nested component (e.g. changing the icon in a button), I get the following error. “An error occurred while retrieving the component or state group” First time I’ve ever come across this error in all my time working in Figma, so I wanted to find out whether anyone else has experienced this error and, if so, what can be done to solve it? Thanks in advance!

We are trying to use a component that has a nested sub-component.  That sub-component then also has a nested component.  When we start the prototype with all of the parent items expanded, it works great.  When we collapse each, and then expand them again, the sub-components all work as intended as well as the sub-sub component.  If we start the prototype with the parent collapsed, it breaks and reverts all of the sub-sub components back to the first variant.  Here are pictures of an example we built as well as a prototype link for it in action. There are two prototypes, one with them expanded.  If you click on the expanded items, they will expand and collapse and keep the rest of the content, the green/yellow blocks the same plus the text within them.  On the other, incorrect, one, if you expand them the colored boxes does stay changed, but the text reverts back to just “Testing Block”. Thoughts on how to fix this?    

After trying to fix my settings on an old mac os, I somehow added a frequently visited toolbar which appears where the search engine usually would.I’ve unticked the frequently visited and the screen is at max, so it wasn’t covered.I’ve tried everything by looking at websites on my phone and many of the options they suggest choosing - such as settings/view …. but in my mac, view doesn’s appear under settings. (Lots of these examples).I’ve rebooted. Only managed to log into google because the icloud website appears in the problematical toolbar and I changed the search. Also can’t find word count in Pages for love nor money - same issues as above eg of settings/view. Thanks so much!Nicki
