Hi,I’m trying to login to my figma account [redacted by forum admin/moderator to remove PII] through my school email Id which is now not available anymore. When I tried logging in, it sends an authentication code to my school email ID, which I cannot access anymore and hence can’t login. Could you please help me login or change my email ID to my work one? [redacted by forum admin/moderator to remove PII]. I have some important figma files that I need to access :(

I have been trying to create components for navigation controls, radio button sets, and dropdowns that show an existing selection with a checkmark. Each of this interaction use cases calls for mutually exclusive logic for a successful prototype: Navigation Control: Only one section/page/screen can be shown at a time and thus the corresponding section needs to be “highlighted” in the Nav Control. By default, one section should always be “highlighted” as selected while the other sections are not. Radio Button Set: One option needs to be shown as selected by default (there is no “no selection” for radio button sets by default). When the user selects a different option, all other options must be deselected. Dropdown List: In some cases, Dropdown Lists will show an existing list option with a checkmark next to it. Hi, I try to move a bunch of master components from a local file to a library file. Those components contain everything you imagine (variants, nested components, overrides, etc.). I followed the instructions in this article: Move-published-components I have no problems in publishing the origin file (no invalid assets or other problems). So when I now cut the compontens in the origin file and paste it into the destination file, I get the following error: “Some components were reparented to avoid a dependency cycle.” Does somebody know, what this message exactly means? How can I avoid that message? Is it even a problem? (I didn’t dare to continue and quickly undid everything via CMD + Z) 😉 Thanks for your help! Ben

Hello! I just signed up and got verified for Figma for Education and followed the steps to create a new Education team (Wisconsin Virtual School). My profile says “Education account, but the team still says “Free and I run into limitations that prompt me to still upgrade to the Professional plan (ex: only having 1 project). Is there just a delay in fully verifying my account even though it appeared as though it was all set? Or am I misunderstanding the explanation from Figma about what this Education plan entails?  Thanks for any insight!Meri

Does anyone know how this card open on hover is done? Ive tried but the difficulty is that the other cards reshape to the custom size for each one that is opened?Or if there is a template for this kind of Component that would help lots too thanks! 

I am an admin on a paid subscription and have given a user in my team Full Seat access for FigJam. Now he’s trying to edit a FigJam file created by me, but he needs to send a request for edit. Why? He has a full seat and I don’t understand why he cannot edit or even create a new FigJam file. Any ideas?

Hi guys good morning! I have a question in Figma. In the same page, I have fields for prices.When I enter a price, the total amount for the price should update:For the moment, I duplicate frames.  I was wondering, is there a way to use the variables to not duplicate the frames (make it less “messy”).Thank you so much for your help! Please make it possible to disable white space padding on exports. Look at the attachment, this is just a single square and exported so much white space is added. I don’t want any white space, let alone this much.

I have created two separate components for Male and Female, each having two variants:Default (Unselected state) Selected (Pressed state)Problem:When viewing in Prototype mode, if I click on Male, it changes to the Selected state, but Female remains in Default (which is fine). However, if I then click on Female, both remain selected instead of Male switching back to Default.Goal:How can I ensure that selecting one option automatically deselects the other? I want only one variant (Male or Female) to be selected at a time while navigating the prototype. 

When exporting an image from the GET image API the Quality is significantly worse compared to an Export from the Figma Desktop App. Question: Can the Quality be Controlled from the GET image API? Details As a result of lower Quality from the GET image API, there are many Artefacts in the Image. I tested in PNG and JPGs and got Artefacts for both Systems. When analyzing the pictures with ImageMagic the images are different in multiple details. In the Result that means that the REST API can’t be used as part of automatic Build Pipeline as the Quality of the Pictures can’t be centrolled. Comparison of an Gradient exported from Figma App vs. exported from GET Image API Colors differ in multiple ways.

can anyone suggest me what should i do?

 I want to create a smooth animation using Smart Animate on this tick ., but the dialog box beside it is also kind of moving with the tick  . Despite keeping all the x and y positions same in both frames of all the elements in the box , its still happening ..If anyone has any solution or advice, I would be really  appreciative. 

Guys, has anyone already found a clear solution about this bug? Figma changes a bold or regular font for an italic, it happens to me with Gotham font, I uninstalled it from the system, I installed it again, then I installed only the regular and bold ones, no italic, all the computers that have access to the Figma file have the same font installed, we all use the desktop program not in the browser, this problem is becoming a hell for us, does anyone have any solution please? 😩 😵‍💫

Hi there! After the latest update, I can’t resize autolayouts and boxes anymore (see video). The resize handle doesn’t become available - I can sometimes get the handle it if I am very very slow and patient. In the video I end up moving the box, not resizing it. Pretty basic thing to be able to resize stuff! And pretty devastating! (I also still have occasional problems with zooming in with my MacBook Pro trackpad). Has someone found a way to fix this? Is there a better way to report this bug? Specs: macOS Monterey 12.4 Figma Desktop App version 116.0.5

Hey Figma Community! I’m wanting to see a history of people who have opened and viewed my Figma file. Is there a way to see the file viewing history? Something like “On Jan 3 John Doe viewed your file” or “13 people viewed your file on Jan 3”. Does this exist? Thanks!

I've set properties on the component to turn off the label and helper text, but when turned off, the layout still hugs the space where the text would have been. Is there a way to avoid this?Below is the main component, and the instance on the right shows the text turned off but still affecting the spacing.
