Does anybody know why am I getting a glitchy animation when I try to make an expandible menu? Like an accordion dropdown. When I want to animate a frame or a rectangle from the size A to size B, it works but with a visual glitch, and it’s more noticeable when using rounded corners. I made a basic animation, click the small rectangle, it expands, click again, it goes to the start size… there are 2 versions, one of them with rounded corners, one without them. Here is a screenshot of the glich when I play the animation. I would love to post a video but I can’t do that yet (I’m pretty new to the forums). I already have a solution to make the animation work like I want, but it’s more complicated in terms of structure of the component, and I really want to know if this is a bug or if I’m doing something wrong. Thank you all!
Hey all, Trying to figure out how I can nest components so my text does not realign when I hide an icon in the same component. I hide the icon using properties but it moves the label text to the left, I want that text to remain in line with the other labels. Any help would be appreciated thank you!
I have the same parts of text (2 words) across different parts of text across different Figma frames (on the same page), and I want to make them in bold style. How can I do this?Maybe with any Figma plugin, like “Find and Replace”, but replace also style of the text.
My Figma files are getting slow, especially when working on projects with multiple pages, large images, and complex components. It lags while scrolling and editing. What I’ve tried:Reducing image sizes before uploading. Using fewer shadows and effects. Closing unnecessary files.Question: Are there specific best practices or plugins that can help optimize Figma performance?
Hi, we have created a custom Figma Plugin using Enterprise plan. Can it be used by users who have other types of plan? If yes, how can we get provide them the access?Thank you!
New to figma, I just wanted to grab some wireframing libraries and rapid prototype some stuffbut nothing works. As you can see in the screenshot, they’re added to my team, added to my project, they don’t show up in the asset side bar even though i’m looking at “all libraries” so i cannot easily grab the components. Only the default 3 libraries show up in the sidebar. What am I doing wrong? this is beyond frustrating. Also the flow of “publishing” libraries from the community page makes no sense to begin with. I’m not publishing them, if anything I’m importing them. Why for such a popular product is this not more simple?
Lately I’ll be looking in my right bar to change a property, and I keep scanning and can’t find it. Then I realize it’s hidden under a “Show more properties” button – aaargh! I’m guessing maybe you’ve done this to avoid the UI feeling overwhelming, but for intermediate and advanced users, it’s frustrating to have: 1) an extra click, and 2) an unpredictable/changing UI. (Not sure it’s actually beneficial for beginner users either.) So maybe there could be a setting to never show that? Or you use AI to detect if a user is novice? Or just kill the button for everyone? 👺
Hi everyone, I wanna ask if there is a way to make gradient color blocks(like the attach image) on Figma, I know you can do it on illustrator but I am wondering if there is a way to do this on figma? Or if there is a plugin that can do this? Basically each block is a color that can be use as a single color instead of a gradient block, but when put together, you can see a it’s gradient (if that make sense).
Hello, the AI feature is missing in the app — it's not available in the beta version, the regular version, or even when using a different account. The option simply doesn't exist. I've updated the app and saw the patch notes, but the AI feature still hasn't appeared. Please help.123
Love the new annotations, but my designs are dark and so are my annotations. I discovered it’s tied to the theme you select for Figma. I use dark theme so I’m getting black annotations. Is there any way to change the annotation theme without changing your Figma workspace theme? Also, will it present to others in the theme they have chosen regardless of my theme?
I set up a Team library, but when I want to use it, the variables are not showing up in the variables panel. The Components are still linked to the variables, and they show up when I look in the “Libraries added to this file”. Just not in the Variables panel.Libraries added to this file. Variables are thereVariable Panel is emptyEverything is published correctly. The variables are not hidden for publishing. Currently waiting for support. Maybe someone has any idea, wheter i set it up incorrectly, or it’s just a bug. Thanks for any help
Hi there, I spent the last hour+ trying to find a solution for this basic “problem” I have and I can’t seem to find anything helpful anywhere so far.Quick background. For a lot of reasons Figma makes perfect sense in my workflow now but I only recently started to incorporate it while still heavily using Adobe (on Mac with mouse). My problem is the following. On Adobe, for zoom scrolling I hold “option” key and scroll to zoom in/out. And on Figma I have to hold "command" key and scroll. I’m sure one can relate on the frustrating muscle memory gymnastic you have to do each time you’re switching from Illustrator to Figma -- for example. If anyone knows how to re-map the key to hold for zoom scrolling on Figma I would be sooo damn grateful. Merci beaucoup
I’d like to start exploring Figma Sites, but a critical component for me and my company is the ability to integrate with our CRM. Has anybody been able to learn anything about how Sites might work with things like Hubspot or other tools of that nature? There’s probably a form on every single page I make these days. We also have a logged in/My Account experience that we need to support.I’m not expecting these things in the beta version that we can play with today, but is that even on the roadmap? I’m not going to learn the tool and evangelize to IT and leadership if it isn’t.
Very new to Figma so need some help figuring this out! I am trying to create a page where you hover over a section of a floorplan and the corresponding text changes colour, along with that section of the floorplan (see images). I’m struggling as I know you can’t create two hover actions at once. Is there a way to do this using variables/styles? Or is there a better way to do this?
we need figpal? anyone here use figpal?
Can I file created by an educational team, be edited by a professional account? even past the days of verification for an educational account?
Hi I have a prototype that I would like to embed to a website, my question is it possible to remove or disable the figma / project links at the top & bottom of the embed?
Hi,On right sidebar, Effect styles category, I see a storm icon between drop shadow icon.I only have drop shadows in my effect styles, can you explain me why I have a storm icon ?
Where did the option to apply a number variable for stroke weight go after the big update? Was using it just last week, now it’s not there anymore, not hovering the field, not right-clicking.
I created a component with a container that has the height set to “hug content,” with top and bottom padding. Inside the container, there’s an instance that should adjust the height, causing the parent component to resize based on the content. The component works as expected, but when I use an instance of this component, the height becomes fixed and I can’t adjust it. The only way to make it work is by detaching the instance. What am I doing wrong here? Is this the intended behavior, or should the height be adjustable without detaching the instance?I created a screencast so it is easier to understand the issuethanks in advance
I am a beginner, please recommend good Figma beginner tutorials to me, thank you.😀
Hello All!I work as a Graphic / UI designer within a team of Software developers and we are considering integrating Crank Storyboard into our Design / Development work flow.https://blog.cranksoftware.com/how-to-import-figma-design-files-into-storyboardAs this is a new piece of software to me I was wondering if anyone in the Figma community has had experience using Crank alongside Figma and used Cranks import tool to import your designs into Storyboard? If anyone has had first-hand experience using Crank Storyboard and integrated this software into your Design/Development workflow, I would love to hear what you think of the software and how it has benefited your workflow / design process.
Hey,On my desktop, my layout has changed to this, rather than the traditional looks and feels. I probably have mashed some keys together by mistake and something has triggered this.Any advise on how to revert this?
Hey community I’m really feeling overwhelmed by all these new features and products. As an early adopter and savvy designer who is always looking for an edge, I’m struggling to understand who Figma is targeting with this latest offering. How are we supposed to find the time to keep up with all these changes and their impact on our daily work? Figma needs to do a better job of guiding us through their vision of the entire toolchain. It’s ultimately us senior designers who will be recommending these products to the business. My team, for example, is so busy that we can barely manage to keep up with Figma Classic, let alone all the other tools. Its clear that its an aggressive approach to go after competitors but at what cost?Stay FrostyJim
