I can’t seem to share Figma sites on the community. Any idea when this feature will be back?

New to auto-layout and some things just won’t happen for me :DLooking to create a paragraph text that is aligned to the left within a frame (div) that will always remain centered. therefore the paragraph will be positioned responsive in the middle but align to the left.  See picture example in the comments:

There is a bug — I can't select some of the elements within frames, whether I'm clicking and dragging (rectangle select), or doing the same but with cmd key pressed (on mac). If you move the frame randomly on the page some elements may become selectable again. This occurred in a pretty big project of mine (a lot of frames and pictures on the page). I cannot work further with it. Hi, Suppose I use UI Kit 1.0 and then the designer released v 2.0 with design updates and few stuff my instances used in my design file should what be linked to the new components manually ? or how thes can be done ?Kind Regards

Hi, has anyone used FigProxy before? When I use it to send characters from my Arduino to Figma, it says on the FigProxy app that it’s sending the character. However, the corresponding interaction doesn’t happen on Figma. I used the exact code and setup as the basic arduino test that’s provided here: https://github.com/ideo/Figproxy/tree/main/Arduino%20Examples/FigproxyArduinoBasicTest. Any tips for troubleshooting? 

When in normal mode, if you press your left mouse button and then you drag you will draw a blue rectangle that is used to select elements. Problem is, when I am using outline mode, I can’t do this because the moment I press the left mouse button, the background frame gets selected and then when I drag the mouse I move the frame around instead of drawing a blue rectangle to select other elements.And now that we are at it, how can I select component instances without using the layers panel? I noticed you can select rectangles and frames if you click on their border when in outline mode, but you apparently you can’t select component instances this way. Why? Should report this as a bug?

Does anyone know if there are any updates coming to Figma's prototyping, particularly regarding scroll-based triggers?I’ve been working on a large prototype to demonstrate the behavior of a sticky navigation on mobile. The idea is that the navigation disappears when scrolling down but reappears when scrolling up—showing a different version upon scroll.I’ve managed to hack together a workaround using mouse cursor in/out triggers on desktop to create the illusion of this behaviour, but that obviously won’t work on mobile. And in a mobile-first world, that’s a big limitation.Any help would be fantastic, Figma, any ideas or updates?

So this is just something I hit my head on all the time. I have some components which are meant to hold a list of instances of another component. The solution I always use is to create like 20 instances inside and then hide all the ones I don’t need for a given design. Many of these designs contain far fewer than 20, but other designs can get close to that number. It just depends. Having all this unused junk in my layers is just irksome. A related problem is that the interior elements cannot be reordered without a lot of work. Ideally, it should be possible to create a component, which can have an arbitrary number of a particular instance (like "list row"s in a “list”) and those instances would be reorderable and removable in the layers panel. It seems like this should be doable with a special component property applied to the embedded instance that I want to have arbitrarily many, freely reorderable copies of. Other posts make a similar request, but I wanted to add my own to emphasize

I have created a component which, while hovering, animates a little. Even after sharing the dev mode to the developer, my developer is asking me to share the lottie file for the same, to which i am unable to generate and share cause currently i cannot afford the lottie subscription.Suggest some way through i can share the animated component (with it’s variant state) with the developers.

Hi everyone!I've been running into a recurring issue when exporting SVG assets from Figma.Everything looks perfect inside Figma, but when I export as SVG and use it on a website, the design sometimes breaks — fonts don’t render correctly, alignment shifts, and sometimes fills or strokes are missing entirely.I’ve tried: Flattening layers before export Converting text to outlines Exporting with and without "Include ID attributes" Comparing in different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) Still seeing issues!Is this just how SVGs work or am I missing something in the Figma export process?Would love to hear your tips, settings, or best practices when exporting clean and browser-safe SVGs from Figma

Help me figure out if I’m the problem or if Figma is the problem.The latest issue is that when I try to reorder a variable group via drag and drop, half the time the group I’m dragging ungroups on drop. Half the time it doesn’t. There’s no difference in what I do. See gif. Other problems:When I undo (which is usually because of the above issue), it treats every organizational change I’ve made as a single action. So If I’ve moved around a bunch of variables or groups, it reverts everything with a single undo. Folders randomly open up when I don’t want them opened up. I have a big collection of variables with dozens of groups, and when they all open up on their own, I have to manually close each one to keep myself sane. Groups sometimes suddenly drop to the bottom of the collection when I copy and paste in variables. Almost like the collection is choosing to sort itself by “most recently edited at the bottom” in that moment. Huge pain, especially considering how buggy it is trying to the

Hi,When I request a review from a reviewer, they should be able to see the "before and after" versions of the wireframes I've edited. However, when they open the file, they only see the current version of the frame - there’s no comparison view available.Could you please help with this?Thanks! When I review that same frame from my edit seat, I can see changes fine.   

I'm trying to publish my design system, but I keep seeing this message:"Publishing Failed: Please reload the page to publish."I’ve reloaded the page multiple times and also tried reopening the Figma app, but the issue persists. Could you please help me resolve this? 

When will figma make be available?

Hi everyone,I’ve just started experimenting with the new Grids auto layout beta version. How do I get this square rectangle block to go from edge to edge of the webpage? I’ve added 10px padding either side of the webpage grid, however everytime I extend it, it snaps to the auto grid? I would like this to extend past the grid to the very edge!I’ve tried holding down shift and drag, however this creates another frame on top of the existing webpage frame and it needs to all be within one frame. 

I've been meaning to share this for a while now, especially with anyone who has been contemplating about having bespoke Vida Veneers Custom-Made but doesn't know where to start. A few months ago, I was in the same boat, going through reviews, looking at before-and-after photographs, and second-guessing every selection. But I'm really glad I eventually did it.

With the recent Figma config and features it introduced, I feel figma isnt really interested in introducing newer features for UX Designers. I have this opinion based on Figma introduced Figma Make, where it can build and iterate websites based on a prompt (Feature targeted towards a general public rather than a UX Designer) Breakpoints in Figma Sites and not in Figma File (Figma introduced breakpoints for Figma Sites where we can design and publish in actual websites) but did not introduce the feature in actual Figma files which many have asked for. (As if Figma is trying to tease, we can do it, but we won't as we don't think UI design is persist for long) First Draft (First draft is where it would have been helpful if instead of a default library, they could have added a feature where we could add our own library) Again here they did not improve upon it, rather made huge advancements in Figma Make, which is targeted toward a general audience. What do you guys think, am I right?

Hi figpals,I'm creating an icon, and this issue has been bothering me lately. Right now, the only way to solve it is with a hack. I know there are ways to fix it, but I really need to avoid repeating this workaround in a loop. If there's a way to prevent me from having to do this hack over and over again, it would be a huge help.So here's the case:First, i create an icon (absolutely) like below:What I want to ask is about focusing on a selected object. I’m using an inside stroke for icon weight, which makes it easier to control the size measurements and set the radius for each corner.Then, to finalize, I need to vectorize the stroke using the “Outline Stroke” feature. And here’s what happens:A line appeared at the bottom, and what’s even stranger is that it only shows there. But when I enter edit mode, it looks like this:There is a visible line right there, so I tried to remove it as shown below:But this is what I ended up with: It removes the area right next to it, which keeps frustra

This is super scummy. Does anybody know where we can complain in the Eu about it? Maybe people would like to jump on a groups case against Figma. This is so low. I’ve been buying my motnhly single user subscription (18e), this month they charged me for 8 people + 5 FigJam seats. Lol, nobody asked for this, they did this on their own. This is mega unprofessional and scammy.

Hi! Industrial Designer turned UX Designer now.Is there a way to make a circular/ring slider in Figma? I see many tutorials for automatic/animated progress rings but I can’t seem to find how to make an actual user-controlled ring slider. I am also not referring to a linear/bar slider - however, this circle slider would interact just like a bar slider but move in a circle.Attached here, you’ll see what I’m referring to. For instance, you see these slider rings in various apps where you can set the time, temperature or some other kind of parameter with your finger by dragging the length of the highlighted circle/ring. Any help or direction to a tutorial showing this is much appreciated!!

Hi, I can’t remove the template from the list in the Template and tools. It also appears in the dialogue window when creating new figma slides presentation. The template was unpublished by droping to the drafts folder *unpublish confirmed”. Any ideas how to make the template disappear from the lists?

I am not able to open a few of my Figma files. The files are around 8-10 mb. IT just keep trying to import but never loads. Is there any alternate way to open/import my fig files? This is a blocker. I need to think twice now before using Figma in future.Any help will be greatly appreciated. ThanksKed

I have created a design system for a mobile app in a Figma file (lets call it A). Also, my project files are also in the same Figma files but in different pages.. Now the problem is, my Figma file is getting heavier and sometimes, it takes too much time to load. I tried publishing the design system (lets call it B), but every time I call a component, it directs me to the main components in the design system  A. Where am I doing wrong? and what is the solution to publish the design system so that my current components sync with it (B), and not with the A.
