Hi, I hope someone can help with this issue. I have created a component card with a show/hide boolean property for the card description. But when I use the toggle lines appear instead of the text. I have tried putting the description in a nested autolayout but that produces an outline around the autolayout layer instead of the lines representing the text. This has happened before and I got around it but I can’t remember how! Thanks. Images to show the issue attached. 

I’m reaching out because I’ve lost access to a Figma file I was working on using my internship email account, which has since been deactivated. I was the only person working on the file, and unfortunately, I can’t remember the file name.I tried checking Recents, Drafts, Trash, and even my browser history, but I can’t locate or access the file anymore. I also submitted a support ticket (#1415763) explaining the situation, but it was automatically closed without a proper response.Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Is there any way to recover a file if the associated email account no longer exists?I would really appreciate any guidance or advice on how to proceed.Thank you in advance!

Lately, I’ve been exploring Roblox scripting and it got me thinking: how can tools like Figma be better integrated or referenced when designing UIs for these types of scripts, like Redz Hub, for example?One challenge I’ve noticed is that many game scripts rely on very basic UI layouts or hardcoded element positions, which makes design iteration frustrating. Hello world, I am working on a Figma plugin where one of its features is changing fill of selected elements into color variable if the said fill is found within the variables. Everything else is straight forward but when it comes to text, since different characters within one text element could have different colors, I tried to access them using get StyledTextSegments like so:const segments = element.getStyledTextSegments(['fills'])The issue I am currently facing is that fill within textSegments is readonly, So the following code does not work; specifically the part of assigning segment.fills new value:segments.forEach((segment) => { const fillsCopy = [...segment.fills] if (fillsCopy[index].type === 'SOLID') { fillsCopy[index] = figma.variables.setBoundVariableForPaint( fillsCopy[index], 'color', matchResult.variable ) segment.fills = fillsCopy}Is there another way I can make this work?

I’ve been using Instrument Sans and Instrument Serif for a while now and until recently its no longer working. I have the fonts installed in my fontbook and I’ve reinstalled them a few times. Anyone else run into this issue recently?

Are you people out of your minds?Just had to check something in a file I saved earlier (I have this habbit of downloading a local backup of a file I work on)… and it was on a branch of this file… and THE BRANCHES ARE NOT SAVED WHEN THE FILE IS SAVED?????????Do you expect me to save like 20-30-40 branches per file to have the local backup?ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MINDS?

Hello, I need to find a bill dating from June 2025 for our accounting but the home page’s design has recently changed and I can no longer find my way to my team’s admin nor the billing history.  Edit: Nevermind, it turns out that you idiots disable access to the billing history as soon as the plan is cancelled. I’ve recently tried to dive into the use of component slots. It sounds great in terms of keeping the components more flexible and discouraging the need to detach. However i’ve hit a wall when it comes to swapping instances. Let me try to explain: I create a component and include the slot component into it, I’ve made the slot component so that i can through the properties panel adjust how many slots i want (as columns or rows). So that works fine. When i swap a slot through the properties to another component instance it looks OK the first time. However, if i were to click on same slot again in the properties and change to another component. Ex. If i first added a image component and then switched it to a button component. It will have the size of the “default” slot component and ignore the correct size of the button, image or whatever component i replace an already instance swapped slot with. So if the slot size is 64px in height, the button in this case would have 64px (even though it

I’m creating a prototype with a right panel where the panel contents “slide in” and “slide out” to show navigation.The first layer darkens as it’s sliding out. I can’t figure out how to stop that. I just want the first layer to move off to the left and the second layer to slide in from the right. In the example below, captured mid-animation, “top level” is sliding out and “second level” is sliding in. Both have white backgrounds but “top level” is darkened as it is exiting.What causes this and how can I turn it off? 

I’m working on a Figma site and noticed an issue where the font appears differently in preview or published mode. For example, I’m using SF Pro Bold in my design, but it renders as SF Pro Regular when previewed or published.Is this a known issue with Figma Sites? Are there any recommended or “safe” fonts to use that retain their styling accurately in preview mode? Would love any insight or workaround if this is a bug. Thanks!PreviewDesign 

Hi, I was wondering if each time that I upload, meaning replace the initial XLS file for creating templates in bulk, I have to do this manually?   

Please share any help/ advice!! My static design looks different to when I view it in preview mode and the layout is changed on all my pages when previewing. Please could you advise why is it doing this, thank you so much!! Ruby :)  

Hey folks, I’m pretty new to Figma and have zero experience with Node.js or React.😆 I was wondering if it’s even possible to self‑host Figma Make on a basic cPanel shared hosting plan.🤔Is this doable for a small personal project, or am I better off looking at other hosting options?😇 Any tips, guides, or beginner‑friendly explanations would be awesome. 😎

The flashing blue hints are very disturbing when presenting in Figma Slides.. Is there any way to turn them off?? 

When presenting, sometimes it works to just go back to the previous slide and forward to the slide with the embed to restart an embed prototype. But I noticed that for some prototypes it will not reload it and stay on the last state. Am I missing something or is that a bug?

I have checked my organization settings and the AI features are turned on but they are not in the toolbar of any of my organization or my admin account. Surely, since we pay THOUSANDS of dollars per year; our account should have this feature already during the release? Am I missing something? My UI/UX team members are asking me about these features and I dont know what to tell them or when I can tell them they will be available, if they are not available already. Which I would find hard to believe that our account(s) would not have this available already with the amount we pay to Figma annually for this service. Please tell me I am missing something and help me get this feature turned on for my team. Thanks

I want to create an interactive effect of clicking a button on the page to retract the page into a floating window, how should I do it?

I noticed in the figma playground files, the layers have preview thumbnails that help distinguish layer type such as section and show contents within frames...I am wondering how this is done to add to my own files?  

Very important and helpful feature removed. Now means the process has to be pasting into artboard, copying the layer, deleting the pasted image, then pasting the layer into the correct frame. Very, very unhelpful.
