Hello - I am having issues accessing any of my variables/tokens from the variables files from my main design system figma file. both are published. in the main design system file only two to three variables are showing up but not all of them. i’ve deleted styles and variables from the main DS file, but still no luck. i’ve also tried destroyer to remove color and text styles, along with variables in the main file. having a hard time figuring it out and at wits end. appreciate any advice or insights. text styles seem to be loading properly, but not everything else. my variables in tokens file are following the correct color, number and string variables.

Since this is pretty specific, I do want to make sure I can get someone to look at your work closely. I unfortunately don't have access to the tooling to do enough research to give you a confident answer:

If possible, please do the following:

  • Share edit access to all the relevant files with support-share@figma.com. This is our official Figma support account, and only select support and engineering members will be able to access them to try and replicate any problems. You will also not be charge for this.
  • File a help ticket here, and include a direct URL to the file[s] you’ve shared access to.

Once you’ve done that, please let me know and I will escalate the inquiry for further assistance.

I know that there may be instances where you have NDA's in place and can't share any of the direct files. If that's the case for you, a screen recording would be helpful if that can be produced. In any case, don't worry if you can't share -- support can still help. Let me know when you’ve done this 😁
