FIX rolling out: Library styles not displaying properly

Marianna - Same thing just happened to me, I think. Just now.

I’m using multiple team libraries (color styles, effect styles), and I’m using a text style library that is local. I cannot access ANY of the styles. This just happened within the past 1 hr. or so. I thought my Figma file had crashed.

On my Figma Homepage, I’ve accessed /“Settings”/“Team Libraries” - and, even though I have_not_turned off any of my team libraries, I’ve turned one of the team libraries I’m using off - the color styles library - then turned it on for “All files”. I selected an element in my project file and clicked the standard (4) dots in the “Fill” area of the Inspector Panel and see no styles.

I’ve done the same thing for the individual project file I’m working on - I’ve turned this same color style library I’m using off (Cmd + Option + O), then I’ve turned it back on. When I select an element in my project file, and similarly use the standard (4) dots in the fill area of the Inspector Panel to access color styles, and I see no styles.

Also, when I select an open space on the canvas, I can see my local text styles in the Inspector Panel, but these text styles are not available when I select a text element in my project file, then select the standard (4) dots in the text area of the Inspector Panel to access my text styles. I see_no_local text styles.

Also, the fill color of some - but not all - of the elements in my project file are hex numbers - not the color style names I’ve used. This indicates the color style names I’m using have lost their connection to hex numbers, so in some cases hex numbers now appear. This is not universally true, however. In some cases the color style names I’m using appear. However, when I select such a color style name in the Inspector Panel, to gain access to additional color style names, I can see no color styles.

Libraries are enabled and up to date, but I don’t see and can’t access the styles in the right sidebar. I have been able to see and access them before, but it stopped working around lunch today.

Same issue here was going on for about 3 hours. Restarted, updated, etc. Just now I went to update and instead hit “reload all tabs” and that seemed to fix it.

Randy_Thomas

I am having the same issues. Suddenly all my color library has disappeared. Was working fine this morning.

Randy_Thomas

Porgie-Boston

Reinstalling the app worked for me just well.

Hi All
I have an issue with accessing styles in the desktop app. The local styles are missing in the overlay when I select a layer to apply. But everything works fine with browser app. Can someone please help with any tips to resolve this?
I have tried everything from reinstalling app, clearing cache, restarting mac etc.

Thank you
Midhun

cool it works, cheers

Patrick_Kristensen

I have solved the problem by publishing the file to the project that the color and text styles were made in.

My team is having the same issue as well. The color styles are there but I can no longer use it in my design.

Dom_Muttel

Same problem here. I restarted figma, checked that all libraries are active, reverted to older versions. Nothing… any updates?

I’m having this issue too :,( nothing I’ve tried–restarting, publishing to the file, etc.–has resolved it yet

Not to repeat, but i’m also having the same issue.

Style color completely disappear when I try to pick color from the usual populated list that’s now no longer there.

Mariana_Bertaglia

I will try it.

Jason_Zimmer_ES

They rolled out an update yesterday. Try restarting Figma.

Same issue here! Hope there is a fix soon

Mariana_Bertaglia

Definitely, it’s a bug. I have reinstalled the app and now is back! I hope they can figure this bug out ASAP! Thanks everyone for sharing the measurements you’ve taken.

It’s working now. Thank you, guys!

Hello! I use text and color styles, but they are no longer appearing in the “four dots” menu when I am editing an object. However, the styles do appear on the sidebar when I deselect all objects, so I know the styles still exist. Did I accidentally change a setting somewhere?

What the sidebar it looks like when I deselect all, showing my styles.

Jeremy_Knudsen

Okay, just closed Figma, then restarted it. Styles are back (both local and remote library styles)! Glad this is resolved!
