Hello everyone! I think having a shortcut to open/close the local variables would be very helpful. For example in cases where I’m prototyping and need to access the local variables to ensure the accuracy of the variable names or values that I’m assigning in the interactions. Currently, if I want to do this, I have to switch between the prototype panel to the design panel in order to open the local variables, check them and then go back to prototype. Note: I am aware that it is possible to keep the local variables window open, but this often leads to numerous bugs in the prototype. For example, when it is open, I am unable to drag the prototype interactions to reorder them.
i am creating a website were i want to imitate a section the grows in height with the screen width, for this purpose i use the aspect ratio lock with a fill auto layout setting, it works but thing is that it cuts off the bottom of the prototype so i cant view my footer fully
As I am publishing library quite often - I need to do it quickly. The current flow is slowing down my process. I need to go to all libraries (it shows Updates by default) I need to switch to This file and then hit the teeny-tiny button Publish. It is way too hidden for a such frequntly-used action. Make it accessible from main UI or add a shortcut.
Every time I exit Figma and come back, the previously selected sort order is lost, and it defaults to "Last modified" – "Newest first". Previously, the selected sorting option was always preserved.
I was going to praise how neat the new Annotation feature is, when I realized the content is only visible to Dev Mode accounts. Are you serious? I understand you want to limit creating annotations to certain seat types, but viewing annotations should be a viewer-level feature. Come on Figma, there are better ways to convince your users to pay for a subscription. This is such a crooked move.
It’s started like yesterday, didn’t change anything. When i running figma all text layers in file, all settings text, like litterally every single text in figma desktop - are blurry and low quality. After im hovering mouse on this text, its became normal. Or if i zoom in (in file) same, looks normal. But it’s kinda frustrating. All other text on any app/whole computer is okay. Figma web version (in google chrome) works well, nothing changes here. But in desktop app got some artifacts, don’t know why. Tried to back up to old graphic driver’s, tried reinstall figma, same prob. Below some screenshots
Hi Figma Support, I hope you're doing well! My student license is expiring in 11 days, and I would like to downgrade my account to the Starter plan. However, when I try to do so, the "Downgrade" button doesn't seem to work — nothing happens when I click it. Is there another way I can switch to the Starter plan manually, or could you assist me with this transition? Thank you in advance for your help! Best regards,
Hi, I am moving out of the company and want to transfer my Professional license(Annual Plan) which is valid for another 6 months, to a new user who is taking over from me. Can someone help me with this?
Am looking for figma plugin developers in India to plugins. Please share your CV at naren@vsplash.com
Is there anyway you can change stroke size of multiple components at once? I have about 100 icons, that currently look like black splodges. Changing all to 1px solves this, but I have to double click twice into each component to fix…. help?
Hi!Has anyone encountered this issue: some of our components had text properties so the text could be set directly in the properties panel. Some time later, we decided to delete these text properties. As a result, after publishing the library, in all instances of SOME components (not all, SOME), the text that was linked to the variable gets reset to the default. But this doesn’t happen in every component that had a deleted text variable. Is this a bug or expected behavior? Has anyone run into this? How did you deal with it? We have a large library used by 50+ designers, and what seemed like a tiny update that didn’t break anything during testing ended up resetting values to defaults in some components after publishing.
Hi Figma Team, I’m encountering an issue after a recent update where “Copy as PNG” (Cmd-Shift-C) no longer works for images, frames, or groups up to 4096 x 4096 px—which was previously the maximum import size without resizing. Before the update, I could copy a selection as a PNG, paste it into Photoshop for edits, and then (ensuring it stayed within the 4096 x 4096 px limit) paste it back into Figma – either replacing the original or as a new variant in an image component. Now, attempting this results in the attached alert. Was this an intentional change, or is this a bug? Would appreciate any insights—thanks in advance for looking into it! Best,Steve
Figma keeps saying I’m offline and that it’s not syncing any changes, even when I have very fast and consistent internet connection (Zoom, Slack, CreativeCloud all work fine). And what’s strange is that it’s only for one project at a time. I have four different projects open and the others are syncing fine. And it’s not always the same project that has trouble syncing. Last week it was a different one that wasn’t syncing. Figma is up-to-date as well. I have had this issue for a week now and it’s incredibly frustrating. Any solutions?
There is a bug in the copy link to selection function. When using the pop up menu and selecting “copy link to selection” it will copy the link to the exact thing that I’ve selected (yay!) The “copy link to selection” function also has a shortcut key, ⌘L (yay!) When using the ⌘L shortcut the link copied only points to the frame/section that the selected object is within, not the original selection. This means that the pop up menu option and the shortcut for that menu option will point to two different links (boo!)
