Hii, I am experiencing some weird behaviours with autolayout. The fill option doesn’t show on some frames and on others doesn’t let me centre it or align it. The “Appearance” section is not visible either. Anyone else experiencing this?
ngl, the new ui3 is pretty good. the only thing i dont like is the toolbar position. im still not used to it. maybe add an option to move it to the top?
I noticed that the type and color styles aren’t consistently applied across all the slides. After going through several rounds of edits, I ended up with multiple styles that have the same names. I want to clean and consolidate them, but for some reason, the styles don’t seem to be applying correctly to every page. It’s really strange. help!
The recently introduced fill patterns do not seem to be correctly saved in styles: They are not editable (cannot select a new pattern object, and the toolbar does not show the pattern tab) When exported from a library, using them in another file results in displaying dots (presumably the default pattern)
Imagine two frames. The first contains two interactive components: a seven-slide carousel and a dark/light mode toggle. The second frame is used to navigate away and return. The toggles are matching components across both frames, so they share states — which is ideal. Tapping a toggle changes its variant and the colour mode. I want the toggles to retain their state when navigating between frames, but I’d like the carousel to reset. Is there a way to control which components get reset on a frame?
In the right panel of Figma Design, when opening the Variables dropdown menu or applying variables for any numeric input (Corner radius, Gap, Padding...). Next to each token, there is a new thumbnail representing a number value “1234”. It’s disturbing the reading of my variables. How can I go switch to the previous dropdown design ? Thank you
Does anyone know of a plugin or tool which is similar to uiizard where I could upload a jpg to figma and it would turn it into wireframes?
Hey dev community, I'm hitting a serious architectural wall with a plugin I'm developing and would love some high-level input. The goal is to create a utility for extreme design system optimization. The core function, which I've tentatively named the **`merge fellas unlimited shake`** operation, is supposed to take a large number of component instances (the "fellas"), merge them into a single object, and then run an aggressive tree-shaking algorithm (the "shake") to purge all redundant data for a minimal footprint. Theoretically, this **`merge fellas unlimited shake`** logic should be sound. However, in practice, anything over ~100 nodes causes Figma to hang and crash with a heap out-of-memory error. It seems the "unlimited shake" part is too demanding for the main thread. My question is more architectural than a specific bug: Is this type of deep, recursive node manipulation fundamentally flawed within the Figma API's constraints? Has anyone else attempted something similar to a **`me
Hello, we have a huge issue with slots in our design system. From one day to the other, without any reason our slots in components are treated like they have been overridden (e.g. border color, bg color, ...). Those styles are then inherited to swapped components. You can be 100% sure that we didn’t customise the slots and all components have been tested extensively before, so why do they now have overrides? Where do the come from? What has changed in Figma? The only solution is to go through all components in the system and reset the slots. Honestly Figma should save time not add additional work on our shoulders … Hope you can help us to find out what is causing this issue in Figma and how we can prevent such things in the future. Attached you find a file showing the problem. ThxHarald

Download code button in figma make is giving a blank zip file, title of project is “project” and has no slashes or periods.
I absolutely cannot believe it’s not as easy as selecting the prototype wire and then grabbing the origin circle and moving it to another element, just like you can do with the destination (arrowhead). Please give me a use case where it’s more common for users to want to create another interaction of the same element going to a different destination than it is for a user to rewire an origin point. The only use case that springs to mind is when wiring up internal component variations, but I always do that via the Interactions palette and select the variation from the pull-down menu rather than manually drag the connections. Maybe I’m not the average user here, but it seems like Figma could have easily reimagined their wiring UI to facilitate changing the origin. Like make that the default behaviour and then add Opt/Alt to create a new wire from the same origin.
