Auto layout behaviours are just different, hugging barely ever works, I can’t use fill reliably. You can overlap blocks but you can’t really merge them… which becomes problematic because then things like hug or fill breaks easily. Rearranging is an absolute PITA. Why can’t I just move a row up or down? I can’t even select a row. I understand that there was a reason for changing the expected behaviour but this feature is just not practical, it far too cumbersome to use. I really wish Figma would pay attention to refining and improving things instead of shipping new and shiny things all the time. I haven’t seem any improvements to grid so I’m assuming it’ll be staying like this for the foreseeable future.
I’m playing around in figma sites and I’ve got some specific text styles and crops on a component, but when I view it in the ‘preview mode’ all the styles get resset to default (ie font not showing up, clip content not working, etc). Anyone else having the same issue?
Hello,Possibly a feature request or lack of understanding on my behalf.I would love/like to be able to share the review modal to add the link to a jira ticket. This would allow the devs I work with to see what has changed etc…I really like how this modal clearly shows updates. But when this modal is not open, it can be a mine filled for a dev or stakeholder to understand what has and has not changed.Any advice or suggestions welcomed on this topic.
Hi All, I am experiencing a lot of bugs and issues in the Styles panel, to the point that it is impossible to use. Selecting multiple styles is off. It keeps 2 or 3 selections than if you select more it selects random styles or selects everything in between the ones you originally selected. If you want to move a style at the end of the list to another folder, you can’t scroll up while holding that style, so it is impossible to move. Creating subfolder is a nightmare as it always gets added at the end of the tree, and moving it out does not work ( see point bove ) Duplicating a folder just duplicates the content of that folder inside that folder The experience is overall very glitchy and is basically impossible to use at the momentHavent used styles too much since variables were introduced, so I’m not sure if this is a temporary issue or is a known bug.
Good luck getting the gray hairs at your company to PAY to switch away from Powerpoint or Google Slides.
When I open a comment in Figma and start replying, but then click outside of it to do something, when I click back in the comment to continue my reply, the text I’ve entered so far is gone. This has lead me to loose several bigger chunks of already written replies and it’s very frustrating.Steps to reproduce:Open a Figma file with a comment there Click on comment to see the comment text/thread and the Reply field Click in Reply field to start adding a reply Type something in the Reply field, but don’t send it Click outside of the comment, anywhere on the canvas, so the comment box disappears Click on the comment again to bring back the comment box Reply field has been reset, the previously entered reply segment (that has not been sent) is goneExpected way for this to work:Reply text segment that has not been sent should be retained, so after doing something else and returning to the comment, the reply can be continued where it was left off.Use cases:I’m reading a comment that asks me t
I love that Ctrl + Z can go back through all of my selections. However, I do NOT love that it remembers even when I’m clicking between pages. If I make changes on one page, then navigate to another page, then navigate back to the page I made changes on, I want the Ctrl + Z to undo the changes I made on that page, not “undo” the navigational actions I did by walking me back to the earlier page and back to the page again before letting me undo the changes.
There is a problem about the gaps as i resize elements. I would expect that Gaps respected the space inbetween repeated elements when resizing an element inside the group.how the tool actually works:|→ |→ (i try to represent the vertical bar as the start point and the arrow as the gap. There is an element that be repeated from the vertical bar. The point is when i resize the element past the 2nd vertical bar and the elements get overlapped)What i expected◻→◻→ (i expect the gaps to distance between the elements itself, not the vertical bar)

Currently, adding interactive navigation (such as clickable contents pages) in Figma prototypes disables the default keyboard controls (arrow keys for slide navigation). This forces users to manually add keyboard triggers frame-by-frame to restore key navigation, which is time-consuming and cumbersome, especially for large presentations. It would greatly improve the user experience if Figma allowed both interactive navigation and default keyboard controls to function simultaneously by default. This would let creators build richer, more flexible presentations without sacrificing the convenience of keyboard navigation.Thank you for considering this enhancement!
It’s really hard to know where you are when you multiple tabs open, it’s fatiguing the eyes.
We love you guys and I mean BIG TIME! Thank you for making life easy with figma. What about the recent updates, mwahhhhh… they are so sweet. However, we have large clients based who always want their presentations in Powerpoint & Google Slides but Figma slides can’t do that too. It will be very great to have that feature to export designs and presentations to powerpoint & google slides. Can we have it like sooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnn 🥹🥹🥹🥹Thank you!
Allow to create custom annotation categories at an account level. My company has different functions; one of them is visual design.Visual design annotation is part of the product development process across the company.I would like to have the ability to add a persistent custom annotation categories for all files across my org, managed in a similar way we do approved plug-ins and libraries.
Can you please add some functionality to control the z (overlay) with frames instead of having to use negative infinity. It doesn’t work well and doesn’t translate to code.
A while ago, I switched from XD to Figma. I was quite excited before the switch, my expectations were high, but I was deeply disappointed.First of all, there's a serious issue with precision and control when designing. Creating pixel-perfect, precise designs is quite difficult. But beyond that, there are two nightmarishly bad problems. I migrated my project, which consists of around 150 screens, to Figma. And I create flows for each function. (Flow starting point)Everything is fine up to this point, but the nightmare begins when I share these flows with others. Flows that have been requested by different departments within the company and should remain confidential are visible to everyone from the “Flows” menu on the left. And there is no option for flow-specific encryption or “only show this flow when I share it.” My research suggests creating flows on separate pages, but this leads to a ridiculous scenario where I have to constantly navigate between pages to maintain design consisten
We’ve found annotations to be an incredibly valuable way to capture ideas (like animations) in a clearer and more structured format compared to comments. However, it’s difficult for us to justify requiring a paid developer seat just so clients and collaborators can view these notes. Many of our projects involve multiple client stakeholders, and it’s not practical to purchase additional seats for everyone who needs visibility. The introduction of annotations was such a helpful improvement for collaboration, so it’s a bit disheartening to see this functionality restricted. We’d love to better understand the reasoning here, as it feels like a step backward in terms of accessibility and client collaboration.
The background removal feature in Figma still feels a bit rough, so I usually switch to another editing tool for that part.We use Figma for almost all of our website projects at AI Studios, and it’s been great overall — it would just be nice to see some improvement in that area.
Hello Figma Community and Team,I'm incredibly excited about the potential of Figma Make and have been eagerly experimenting with its AI capabilities. However, I've run into a significant roadblock when it comes to integrating my team's comprehensive design library, and I'm hoping to get some clarity on the current limitations and what we might expect in the future. Our Setup: A Highly-Structured Design SystemTo provide some context, we've invested a substantial amount of time and effort into building a robust and meticulously organized design system within Figma. This isn't just a collection of components; it's a fully-fledged system that includes: Hundreds of Components: Our library is extensive, containing a wide array of components, from basic elements like buttons and inputs to more complex organisms like cards, sliders, and navigation controls. Meticulous Naming Conventions: Every component, variant, and layer is named with a clear and consistent hierarchy (e.g., input/text/defau
Please go back to basicsYou are moving forward too fast, we don't need more drawing and AI feathers, we need basic CSS options that are the basics of CSS web development since the 2000.On top of the list image-background position, object-fit etcAre you going to do something about it?😡
Hi Figma, I wish it were possible to duplicate text style folders, instead of just the text style itself.
The black floating toolbar is really annoying as it covers up what I’m trying to type. Is there a way to pin it? I know that I can run a script to completely remove it each time. However, it’d be nice to have an option to pin it at the bottom.
I am calling this out because it wastes admin time, confuses teams, and quietly pushes paid seats without informed consent. The product nudges users to request licences from multiple places inside the app. These prompts are frequent and intrusive. They look like helpful guidance but they are sales prompts. Admin controls to decline or manage these licence requests are buried and clumsy. It is far easier to approve than to reject. That is a dark pattern that drives spend rather than clarity. End users are not clearly told that what they are clicking carries a cost to the organisation. In many flows there is no plain language that says You are about to trigger paid usage for your team. The end result is predictable. Finance gets surprise invoices. Admins become the bad cops. Designers are frustrated because they did not realise they had pulled a paid lever. This is not how a trusted design platform should behave. What we want to see now! Clear pricing and seat impact in every reques
I cannot find feedback options for figma features, so I had to use this space. Btw, please bring back interactions to Figma design, Figma Make is not at all easier to work with. Actually, it gets harder to use Figma with all those changes - that weren’t actually very necessary for some users. Why using AI in EVERY single product if the AI doesn’t work properly? It changes all the layout we submit to it, stuff that were PERFECT and now, because we have to use Figma Make to do interactions, it simply does not give the result It was supposed to give (and used to work with) for. It changes the submitted design in NOT ASKED ways. Redimensions the screens and elements, changing the whole composition. Please, bring old Figma back, there’s a reason (or MANY) why adobe XD died. Do not transform figma in another xd, i BEG you.
In Figma’s playground file for the (beta) AI features, there’s a hands-on example for the AI feature called Replace Content. It sports a (vertical) auto-layout frame with two similar objects. When you select the frame, a wide handle appears on its bottom edge (in the instruction called the Duplicate Bar) , offering the option do drag up and down and add multiple instances of the same object(s).It looks and works a lot like the Repeat Grid of Adobe XD – the only featured I missed now and then in Figma, so I’m a happy camper now ! 😄The feature works very well, and the obvious next task of replacing the repetitive texts for uniquely generated dummy texts, also works very nicely BTW.But how did they get this Duplicate Bar to appear ?I can’t find anything about it in any Figma Help resources. Just this tidbit in the beta AI example. So I tried and tested it a bit, and it seems to me that you need at least 2 by 2 elements: 2 elements in one group or auto-layout, copied or duplicated into 2 s
