For some weird reason, Figma desktop app (Mac) doesn’t let me add multiple actions or set/change variables in prototyping. It keeps telling me I need to upgrade to a paid account but I am already on a pro account and have been for a long time… It’s really annoying, what can I do? Cheers, Matt

Since yesterday I have had a similar problem that I had in December/January. I don’t get the “update component pop-up” so I can’t mass update the components. So now I have to update every single component manually, even if I load the same components multiple times, I have to update them all manually. For info: I have this problem on a Windows HP laptop and on a MacBook Pro M3. The solution last time was to close Figma and Reload the design file or tab. That worked for a while but this time that doesn’t work anymore. Figma has had a lot of bugs lately. From getting super slow when opening an overlay screen to this kind of update component bugs. 😒 This makes work a hassle and it takes me much longer to do simple tasks. Please fix this.

After the update, videos disappear when imported. That is, I can no longer import videos - they immediately disappear with an error. Any video. I cleared the cache. I checked on a PC, Mac and on the web

The “Detach deleted variables” option from the actions menu (Ctrl+/) is not working as expected after the last update.

Tiny bug here fellas

I am really confused. I have a component file where I keep all my main components. The main component looks like this: However, when I update the component, publish the library, and then update the library in a different file that has this same component, it resets to an old version of the component: the properties are different, and the caret icon there is something that I used long ago. I checked the links of the components and there is no “hidden” link, I’m genuinely so confused and frustrated lol

Hovering and click applies alignment elsewhere

If I export for example a button that is 96x96 but that button happens to be placed in a non-whole pixel position (e.g. 12.5px on the y position) then the exported image size result = 96x97px even if ‘Clip content’ is selected

One problem is that the comment function does not feed lines, really hope that you can solve that as soon as possible, thank you.

I have an FFFFFF color at 90% transparency as a variable. It does not have a border in the list of variables, so is basically invisible. I know it is there only because I created it. Please fix. Thanks!

Hi there! For some reason we get rotation: -180deg for the Customize your voice text in this file. Is this a bug, or are we missing anything? Thanks! Tomer

Situation: I’m building a listbox component, and want to be able to select an item in that list and assign it to a variable in a prototype. I also want to be able to re-use this same component for multiple similar scenarios (same options, different variable endpoint). And I thought I could use a variable as a placeholder to assign the correct endpoint dynamically. Current Results: When I assign the listbox value to the variable that is being passed to the placeholder variable the variable the functionality works by default, but as soon as I dynamically re-assign the variable to a different endpoint, everything breaks. The following video shows the current behavior, and I suspect because of it, this is an unintended bug with variables at the moment? Example video (loom)

When creating components I use various properties to distinguish between te variants and to be able to select a specific variant later on. When the value in a property is not supported, for instance a comma, it just throws away all property-values away for that variant. I would opt for a more user-friendly error-handling in this case, because I can hardly imagine that this is desired behavior for anyone. It now is not apparent enough that a mistake has been made and when one discovers it one has to fill all values for that component variant in, which has a negative impact on productivity My suggestion would be to not throw away other property-values if one of them is faulty, but rather inform the user about it or prevent the user from entering unsupported characters at all.

Hey! Since today, some of my components are no longer displayed correctly in some frames. The strange thing about it is that it only affects some of them (even if it is the same component ) and it is displayed correctly again after clicking on the component a little. However, it does not seem to be saved and after a reload it looks the same again. As can be seen in the screenshot, the layout is messed up, but the breadcrumb, although it is the same, is displayed differently. But when I copy and paste the frame, everything is displayed correctly and is still ok even after a reload. I have the latest version and have already deleted my cache, restarted, etc. Can someone help me or has at least similar problems? Thanks in advance bug components team-libraries

I’ve created an image of 2 interlocking rings using Ellipses, Vectors, Rectangles, Subtraction, Strokes, and Fills. But when I select the whole thing and apply a Union, I get an unexpected result. Hi all, I’ve raised a bug with Figma as the Pin Libraries to board (dock) option has disappeared from FigJam but is still highlighted in their guidance here https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500004290841-Use-stickers-and-libraries-in-FigJam#Pin_libraries_to_board I know there was a lot of backlash on the inability to dock/pin in Figma and I imagine the issue is one for FigJam too. Has anyone else had this issue and any ideas on how to use stickers/plugins etc without the awful widget frame that covers half your FigJam board?

I have a navigation drawer with a switch component (I’m using the Material M3 component library) and I added an interaction to ‘Set variable mode’ on Click. It doesn’t work. When I add the variable mode to Mouse enter / Mouse leave in the switch component then it changes the variable mode correctly. The same interaction works when I add it to Click in a button component. So it looks like a bug to me.

Every time I try to Review Updates, the modal loads forever.

This started happening recently, and I am getting alerts for lots of font styles missing, such as all but “SemiBold” for Open Sans for example. Only happens on my mac, both on Mac desktop and web clients, but not on Windows. Popular google fonts don’t show up in font picker, and lots of Google Fonts I used are suddenly marked as “Installed by you” instead with only few styles like SemiBold available. However, it’s not in Mac’s font book so I don’t see any possible local conflicts. Open Sans works in Adobe Illustrator as intended. Anyone knows what’s going on? Where are those “installed by you” coming from?

I’m loving that I can now resize columns in the variable editor. However, there are some issues with this feature, specifically with the final column. Problem #1: Cannot resize last column Open a variable collection with numerous modes (enough that will require scrolling to the final mode column). Try and resize the last column Problem #2: Final column fills available space I have to resize the Variable editor dialog to best view variable definitions for a specific collection (making it wider). Switching to a variable collection that has only one mode column forces trailing elements in the final column to be aligned to the right edge of the dialog (nowhere near the column value).

I cannot Shift + Ctrl + LClick to create a new variable with the target color. By the way, I love this new redesigned Eyedropper, which allows me to copy the color variables. 🥰

New eyedropper functionality enables users to get around variable scoping. I’ve got 5 variables scoped explicitly to a single use. When using the color selection dialog to search for compatible color variables, things are exposed as expected. However, using the eyedropper can circumvent my scopes. I’m able to apply a color variable that normally wouldn’t be available if I searched for it manually.
