For some reason there is one plugin that just won’t approve no matter who tries to approve it as an admin. Unsure if it’s a bug with Figma or the plugin itself. This is the plugin mentioned: https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/990910408295947511/lazy-load. Would like to see some resolution so we can try the plugin out for skeleton loaders mostly!

Hi @Sarah Wright ,

I understand you're running into an issue where you're seeing a “Failed to update plugin approval” message when trying to approve the plugin Lazy Load as an Organization admin.

I tried testing it on my end — when I click eOpen in...], the plugin keeps loading and doesn’t launch properly in a file. I also tried searching for it via Actions > Plugins & widgets in a file, but it doesn’t show up there either.

Given this, it’s possible that the issue might be on the plugin’s side. To help narrow things down, could you confirm:

  • Are you seeing this error with only this plugin, or does it happen when approving other plugins as well?

Here’s our guide: Approve plugins and widgets for the organization

If the issue seems to be isolated to this specific plugin, you can try reaching out to the plugin developer directly via the support email listed on the right-hand side of the plugin’s Community page. They can then follow up with us if a Figma bug might be involved.

While we don’t recommend specific plugins, you might want to check out another popular community plugin with similar functionality — for example, Skeleton Loader
I was able to launch this one successfully and also find it via Actions > Plugins & widgets. Feel free to explore more plugins in the Community!

Thanks,

Thank you for confirming the issue your side. Yes, it’s only with that plugin so I’ll get in touch with them directly. We’ve tried the Skeleton Loader you suggested and it wasn’t quite what we needed according to my team, but really appreciate you looking for an alternative for me!
