i want to create a css project directly from a fully disegned figma file. The is a complete web based app

Hi everyone,I’m running into a little issue with nested components and was hoping someone here might have a solution or workaround.I’ve made an Icon component with two variants:filled: no (outlined) filled: yes (filled)This icon is used inside a Button component, which has multiple variants for interaction states like default, hover, and active.Here’s what I’m trying to do:Show the outlined icon in the default state Show the filled icon in the hover state Show the filled icon in the active stateThe problem is:When I change the icon variant in one button state, it changes across all the button states. It seems like Figma is treating the nested icon as the same instance in all button variants, so I can’t set a different icon for each state.I’d love to keep everything component-based and avoid detaching or duplicating the icon for each variant, but right now that feels like the only option.I made a figma file for clarificationHas anyone dealt with this before or found a clean workaround?T

I used to have access to the Figma AI features but after Config, I lost my access to all AI features. I get a message in the Actions menu saying that I’ll receive access soon but I waited a week already and it’s still missing. Can anyone help me get the AI tools access back?

Features that were previously accessible with fewer clicks now require more navigation, and some key tools feel buried or unintuitive. As someone who relies on Figma daily for professional design work, this change has introduced unnecessary friction and slowed down my productivity.I understand that updates are essential for growth, but I kindly ask that you consider giving users more flexibility—perhaps by offering a way to toggle between UI modes or customize the layout to suit individual workflows.

I can't apply blending mode to a blurred layer blur object. If I try to apply blur to an object with blending mode, the blending disappears. Please help me figure it out.

My figma desktop app is not launching (shows “not responding”). I was using it just fine, when it gave me a update request pop-up. I clicked to update, for which Figma desktop shut and nothing happened. Ever since I’m not able to launch it. I have reinstalled it, still the same. I’m using Macbook Air M4 2025 16GB.

When copying and pasting, all Measures disappear.  To create a design guide, I create a Measure in the UI built with the component and use theand copy-pasted it into the component-built UI, all of the Measures disappeared.😰They also disappeared when I copied and pasted a single component or a section containing components.I doubt Figma would release a feature without doing a simple QA.  

hey there.we switched from Pro to Organisation. Then created teams for each client and moved our files.Access in teams is set to ‘Everyone in >Organisation Name<’.The problem, however, is that not all files are visible to the team members—only a few are shown. When we then add the user to the team, all files suddenly appear. But that doesn’t make sense if the access is set to ‘>Everyone in this organization<’, does it? Question is:Shouldn’t all team members be able to see all files if they are part of the organization? Currently, they can see the teams, but they only see the files if they are explicitly invited.

I have a component (A) with variants that is used as a mask inside another component (B). In an instance of component B, if the variant of component A is changed, the mask is removed. However, if I change the variant of component A in the master component B, the mask remains intact.Request for Resolution: Can this be fixed so that the mask remains functional when changing the variant of a component that is used as a mask inside a component instance? The mask should remain when changing an instance regardless of whether it is inside an instance or in the master component.

I have deleted my first and only workspace in Figma. All my draft files were deleted too. How I can restore my files? I cannot see anything in the Trash tab just to restore anything. It’s empty. Can anyone help me? 

After the version update, I can’t control the box’s corner radius on the right panel using my mouse(also laptop’s mouse pad too).  And I could find another similar bug report here>Why does it happened? and why doesn’t figma fix it asap?There has been so many big and small bugs while UI update. I don’t know what purpose of this is. It feels like ruining usability in every possible way.

Context:  Developer with some limited design chops, developing a desktop/workstation app (not based on web technologies) from a finished Figma design created by professional designers.  Currently working on architecting our app’s UI framework and our workflow for translating design to development. Goal:  Create a UI framework for our app based on stitching together and overlaying images, with the application managing the layout of child components.  The app does not need to dynamically resize or maximize the window, past having a few different sizes to choose from (100%/200%/whatever).  It does need to render quickly and look and behave exactly the same on every platform.  Some of you may find this questionable, but trust me when I say that it’s completely standard and normal in my highly niche industry. The initial problem was that  exporting images still contained not just the background, but also all child components in it.  So I upgraded to a full seat, which allows me to hide chil

Hello.As soon as I became a student and got into the learning space, my “Drafts to move” folder disappeared on my account. I can't create Design File on my account or in the learning space.How do I get the Drafts to move folder back? So that I can create Design File in my drafts?My personal files can still be found in recent. The list of favorite files is missing from the left sidebar.

After restoring a previous version, all modification commands sent afterward are remembered as versions following the restored one, which makes it impossible for me to skip unwanted modification command versions.

I recently upgraded my plan to Pro. I tried adding a few of my team to a project, but I’ve been asked to pay for a seat before they can edit the file I created. Is this how the pro plan works?

What happensI have a Frame inside a Component, the Frame width is set to a variable (with some Modes). Now I change it to be filled. I change the section Mode. I change the section Mode back again. Now the Frame in the Component is set to the variable again, instead of fill. Expected behaviorWhen I change width from a variable to a fill it should not change, regardless of me changing the Mode of the Section. Work aroundSelect the frame. Change the width from a variable to a pixels first – this will disconnect the variable for real. Now change the width to fill. Done! The bug and work around recorded 

As you can see from this picture, every single spot that should have an image is empty and is instead save as an upside down swatch, but it’s not actually applied to it.I suppose this has to do with how figma applies images as fills rather than treating them as images.If I open the SVG in my browser it looks fine, but if I can’t import it into illustrator then I can’t really do much of anything with this

Hi! I’m having trouble with these website pages:Drop down menus in 2nd and 3rd screens (see file) open up behind the activity list although the lists are lower in the layers panel. Don’t understand why on the first screen the drop down menu works fine and doesn’t affect the auto layout of other elements on the page while it’s placed on the top of the layers panel?     Can’t get the page to scroll normally, showing all the activities, despite there being an overflow and me selecting to scroll vertically. When trying to change the frame of the activities, auto layout doesn’t let me to crop the frame (see picture n.2)     Is there a way for me to make the pages change to another page after someone selects a specific option in the drop down menu? Is that something that is possible to prototype?  Thank you <3file
