Hello Figma Support,

I can’t access my Figma account because my student email address has been deactivated by my university. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to that email.

Here are my account details:

  • Old email address:   [redacted PII]

  • Figma username : [redacted PII]

  • Example file link(s) I created:  [redacted PII]

I would like to recover my account and transfer it to a new email address:  [redacted PII]

Could you please help me with this process?

I understand that you no longer have access to your university email account, which is associated with your Figma account, and that you need help updating your Figma account email address.

For anyone else who may come across this thread with a similar issue, here are a couple of things you can try:

  • If your university email is set up to forward messages to your current email address:
    You might be able to reset your password and regain access to your Figma account that way. Once you're logged in, you can update your email address in your account settings. Here’s the guide:  Manage email address or password  

  • If you're not forwarding emails and no longer have access to your school email:
    You can submit a request to have our support team manually update your email address using this secure form: Submit a request

    When filling out the form, please include:

    • The email address currently linked to your Figma account

    • The new email address you'd like to use going forward
