For high school and higher education students, once you’ve been successfully verified, your education status is valid for one year.

As for checking the expiration date:

• If you're team owner, you will receive a 4-week notice before the education status expires. After it expires, you'll also see an in-app notification.

If your education status expires and you're still a high school or higher education student, you can reapply to continue using the Figma Education plan.
