I commute by train and worth in the Figma app en route. The wifi is slow and patchy, so I make sure I open the file I want to work on beforehand while I have a good connection. My issue is that while on the train, Figma sometimes enters a loading state - presumably to autosave - but then hangs in that state indefinitely, even if the wifi is working. So I'm then unable to work until I get off the train.I'm guessing this is because the internet connection is slow, but if so shouldn't it time out and let me carry on editing the file offline?If I close and try to reopen the file, it just hangs again. Any advice on how to avoid this scenario is much appreciated - it's causing me a lot of lost time!

Unfortunately, I cannot provide a current student card or portal access because the university has not yet set up an online system for us to continue our studies. I have been using Figma since 2020 and have spent over five years improving my design skills on the platform. The Education Plan has been essential to my learning journey. I’ve been trying to verify my account for the Figma Education Plan for week and through Sheer ID I have submitted my school documents. But after I received ‘Get verified for Figma’ Email from Sheerid Verification, I’m stuck with this reviewing process. My Education plan is going to expire in a single day and because I’m in the middle of highly important project, this is very critical situation. I did not expect this process to take this long. I’m really not sure what else to do—any guidance or help would be greatly appreciated.  

I am working on integrating Figma's API to automate certain tasks, specifically adding images into nodes within Figma files. The process involves using Make.com to send API requests to Figma to modify a node (for example, inserting an image into a rectangle).I am using Google Drive to upload the image generated from ChatGPT and then obtaining a URL to insert it into Figma. Could this be causing the issue, or is the problem related only to the API?I have successfully set up the API calls for retrieving file content and getting node information using the GET method, and I am able to retrieve the necessary data from Figma. However, when attempting to send a PATCH request to modify a node (inserting an image into a rectangle), I face an error.  The problem: Error 404 (Not Found): When attempting to use a PATCH request to modify the node by adding an image, I receive a 404 Not Found error. Lately when having a figma file open, that is comprised of several pages , I suddenly (or randomly) get a “Loading” state on the screen, that redirects me to the very first page of the figma file after a moment. That means the designs, I am working with, cannot be watched for the duration I would need to effectively work with figma.I enjoyed using Figma for a very long time, but this gets me incredibly frustrated, because it wastes so much of my time.

Hi I’m working in a Design System where I’m using an Icon button with what is called a Master icon (so the icon inherit the color from different states or modes). When using this icon button inside another. component is shown distorted, but very randomly I would say.  Here is an example, on the bottom is the base component of a File uploader component and the icon button with the bin looks fine, but when I take these base components into the main components (top one), it looks distorted. I assume this is a Figma bug, because sometimes happens, sometimes not and the button is done exactly in the same way as the other button component that shows Label + button.Is anyone having the same issues? 

Hello, I am relatively new to Figma. I had my professor look at my settings and he is confused why my animations were not functioning. Our assignment required the Smart Animation setting called Bouncy. It was working fine for my classmates, they had the exact same settings as me. But it would just skip the animation for me. It will not function on default Smart Animation + Bouncy either. I had a strobe effect issue with some other animations that day, but I can make a separate post for that. I did this classwork on Fire Fox, Windows 10, Asus laptop.I was working on my homework and have been on my Fire Fox, Windows 10, Custom desktop PC. Same problem with bouncy. I have just recently got into some more challenging stuff in Figma, and the moving obejst as part of the animation when you click on the some button is what is puzzling me quite a bit.What I am trying to do is move around the objects in the next scenario: I would like, when a user clicks on “OPTION 1”, for infographics object to slide, or roll to the left, while the rest of the options move down or disappear, and then the whole space is filled with text from Option 1 with the button to go back: And ofc, once user clicks on GO BACK button, everything go back to the original position. I tried playing around with Prototype, but so far, it’s only giving me options to create something like this if I click on the object itself, not on a different button or object. Could someone help me with this one, please?

I'm unable to type anything when after creating the "area" for the text. Even, I'm unable to edit the previously written texts. I tried using different browsers, but it doesn't work. Finally, I'm not able to use Desktop version, the design doesn't load (same for Firefox).When I try to type something, the F and A selects Frame, T selects the text, in other words, I'm unable to type in the canvas, rather the shortcut keys are working.I used Figma long ago. So, I don't remember anything, and I was able to write only one text; again, I tried to create a new design and tested, but it didn't work. Hi Team,I've been working on a design using Figma and encountered an issue with code generation.The design process is working well overall, and the code generation (React + Typescript) was functioning correctly up to a certain version. However, I'm now experiencing a problem where:- The preview updates correctly according to my prompts- The generated code does not reflect these preview updates- There appears to be a disconnect between the latest preview and the corresponding code outputCould you please help investigate this issue? I have a line in an auto layout in Figma. The auto layout settings are all correct, however, the line displays (looks) like it's in the wrong spot visually, if that makes sense. The first screenshot (line in the middle of the text) is what it looks like when the issue is occurring. I go in, and all I do is move the line's position to a different spot in the layer stack, then I move it back to where it was before, and then it looks like how it's supposed to (second screenshot, line right above the buttons).Based on my research it seems that this is a known issue with Auto Layout (though I couldn’t find an official support ticket or anything I could reference for ways to fix the issue). I already cleared the cache in the Figma app and this keeps happening. It’s also frustrating because I’ll navigate to a different page in my Figma file and come back (after it was displaying in the correct place) and the divider line will be in the wrong spot again.Any tips or suggestions for fixing this

Is there a way to set design mode to be my default? I have a dev seat and am classified in a software engineering role, but for the work I do in Figma, I strongly prefer the design mode navigation. I am needing to manually toggle to design mode every time I bring up Figma.

Quick question — is it possible for Figma Support to move a Design System (currently in another org) and a UI Kit (currently in a Free Team) into our Enterprise Organization without breaking component IDs or links? How long does it take? It would be better if I transfer the design system file to free team in order to have both files in free team so the transfer would be easier? thanks a lot!
