I am working with a colleague and some local variables simply do not update in the design when she is entering new values in the local variables window. Some do, some don’t. I on the other hand are able to update all variables with no issue. Both are using latest Figma Version via App. Only difference she is working on Windows, I am on Mac.

We have a button component that relies on a color mask for the disabled state. This mask grays out the assigned icon when the disabled state is selected. We use a mask because our icons can be of many different colors and this was the only way we could set the icons to be a single greyed out color while maintaining the original colors when reenabling. The component also allows the user to resize the icon from a nested component. We had this component working as expected last month.However, today I loaded up a file with several disabled icons and noticed all of them were broken. I dug into the file history and noticed the problem appeared at 10:34 AM on July 31st. This seems to be inline with a recent update that Figma released on that day. I’m guessing something in that update must have broken the component we made. Below are screenshots showing the issue. I am facing a bug where Figma does not correctly reference variables in a different collection even when the appropriate modes are set. For context, I have created a simple multi-brand design system with: Primitives collection: storing hex values of colors for each of my company’s brands (yellow and green) Semantic collection: storing references to variables in the primitive collection for the same brands After setting up the primitives collection, when I try and edit the variable for green brand in the semantic collection, the variable ‘picker’ window shows the correct green that should be referenced from primitives, however for some reason this does not apply.  The video demonstrates the issue. I also show correctly applying the mode for the page to be the green brand from primitives when attempting to troubleshoot.  Am I doing this entire thing wrong?

I have a design file that uses library components and is styled with modes. Right now, when i copy from the design file and paste into the figjam, the default library values are showing in the figjam instead of the styled components.  This is affecting icons, colors, and fonts. The only workaround is pasting as PNG

Hi everybody –I’m using VS Code with Claude Code and I’m trying to setup my Access Token. Inside my Figma Settings panel, the token states it was used and appears to be connected, but Claude (via VS Code) is showing a failed connection when using prompt “/mcp” to see the Manage MCP servers readout.On the other hand, my Figma Dev MCP Server, directly from my Project, is showing Connected.I connected the API before I connected the Dev MCP, though – does that make a difference? Do I need to connect the Access Key for additional functionality or will just the Figma Dev MCP do the same thing?UI/UX is my primary field so I’m in the depths of this learning curve for back-end stuffs.Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Is it possible to have a free Figma Design Seat account to edit projects for how many days?As a company, we have several Figma licenses, but we need to share projects with external parties who need to edit these projects. Is it possible for them to edit for free for a few days, or will we have to assign them a Full Seat license?Thanks

If you want a smooth animation between two values of a corner radius (eg a button going from 32px radius on default to 16px radius on hover) the smart animation will work only if you don’t use a number variable on your corner radius…This goes against the use of tokens for a clean system design.Here are two screen recording showing the issue, i used variables for radius on the first one, and classic values on the second one.(GIFs are slow but you see the problem) 

Our organization has a plethora of workspaces, with a lot of files having similar / even the same names within those workspaces. I used to be able to search within a specific workspace but it seems like that functionality has disappeared unless I’m mistaken. I can still search within specific Projects / Teams / Organizations, but not within Workspaces.I’m assuming this is a bug as I can’t imagine why they’d remove this functionality but was wondering if other users were having this issue.

Hi everyone,So, I know that a switch is usually meant to have two options. But I need one with three states, like in the image.By default, it should be off, and when you click on one of the sides, it should switch accordingly.Unfortunately, I created it, but I'm having issues — when I click either side, only one part works, and the other one doesn't respond.Does anyone know how I can fix this issue?  

I used to right click a file and choose Duplicate, now the option is not there nor in the File menu once you open the file.Is this the way Figma forces us to subscribe to a paid plan?? Good luck with that!

Good dayI don't know how to explain the problem correctly.Shift+R rulers appear normally. Guides are created normally. Guides move normally with the mouse. When a guide is selected (blue color), it is impossible to move it with the arrows on the keyboard, the entire screen scrolls.What could be the problem and how can I move the guides myself?I restarted the program, cleared the cache, disabled plugins. Didn't help.Thank you in advance!

Hello Figma Support,I am currently facing an issue with the "Change to" interaction feature. Despite setting up my interactive components properly, the "Change to" action is not triggering the expected state or swap.

For insta i made a template with in portait mode an image only and some text above. When I imported this template and upload an image or video, it is mirrors the display. This can not be changed unless the template lock is removed.Please contact me for an example, i recorded my screen. This is not possible to upload.

Has anyone figured out how to use code connect for Astro?

I have placed multiple video files (.mov and .mpeg4) into a Figma slide, and de-actived “autoplay.” When viewing the slide in presentation mode (either standard view or full screen), the videos do not play when clicked. If I skip to the next slide, then return to the slide with the videos, they play as expected. Major bug, not new, must have feature… please fix it.

I have a project with many pages. I need to export these to one pdf document to hand off to the client. Please do not tell me to share a link. I need a single PDF document with all of the pages in it. This seems like a simple request but I can’t find a way to do it. 

In the new Glass effect there are two ways to change the light‑angle:Using the interactive control with visualization.Entering a value into the text input field.When you adjust the angle via the text field and press Ctrl + Z, the change is undone as expected. However, if you rotate the interactive control and then press Ctrl + Z, Figma instead undoes the last unrelated action (e.g. the preceding tool change), skipping over your angle adjustment entirely.Consistently reproducible? Yes, every time.Any error messages? No error messages; undo simply targets the wrong stack entry. reproduction steps:1. Select a object with the Glass effect applied.2. In the right‑hand panel, click the control “angle” control and drag to change the light angle.3. Immediately press Ctrl + Z.4. Observe that Figma undoes the previous unrelated action, not the angle change.5. (Contrast) Repeat step 2 by typing a new angle value into the text field; pressing Ctrl + Z correctly reverts that change.Bug is reproduce

Hi there, I have a ECWID store through an embed code trough another platform.I would love to move my site to figma but i need this to work. How!!!iframe is not a option because i need the transparant partto put over my design. Help! Thank you in advance Picture above is the other platform 

We’re trying to utilize Figma buzz, but are running into a lot of issues for it to be usable. Current issue is we have a set of social media graphics that need to be able to bulk replace the content on 9 different graphics that all have the same title, date, time, etc. We we’re going to utilize the “select all matching objects”, then multi-edit text, but it’s showing as an option for me, but not my coworker. Why would this be?
