I just updated to the most recent version of figma and now I keep getting the error message, "You are not allowed to copy this file," whenever I try to copy something. This is happening in every file, no matter if I own it or someone else does. It’s even happening in my drafts. I’m using the desktop app, not the web app. I tried restarting figma, logging out of my account, and resetting my computer. Nothing has fixed the issue. Whenever I try to open the share settings for a file, I see a loader for a minute and then the modal closes on it’s own. Has anyone else experienced this or have a solution?  

This happened about 10 minutes ago, but Figma appears to have unlinked most of the design libraries I had in my files and I’m unable to add any library to any file. Happening on another account in our org as well.

This just started minutes ago, and I can’t copy anything — even in files I own. I’ve restarted, logged out and back in. This is critical! 

I can't use styles since the latest update. When I create a new style and try to apply it to an element, Figma no longer suggests existing options. This issue affects both old and new drafts 

Hello,I would like to inquire about my recent credit usage.Previously, I typically used around 1,000 credits over approximately five days. However, after upgrading my plan, I consumed 2,000 credits in just two hours, which seems highly unusual.Could you please help me understand:How credits are calculated and consumed? Why my credits were depleted so quickly? Whether it is possible to review or roll back the credit usage if there was an unexpected issue? Whether there are any best practices or settings to help reduce credit consumption?I upgraded to the highest plan because I intend to continue using your service, so I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to manage my credit usage more efficiently.Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I am finding very strange behavior with a personal component that I’ve made.  Essentially, I have a button instance from another file that I’ve wrapped as a component variant in my personal file. That component variant is then being used in an accordion component, which is then being used in my panel component.  When I change properties of that button within my panel component, it overrides the entire panel component to the changed property state of that button. My panel disappears and essentially becomes just that wrapped/nested instance. Could I get some help troubleshooting? 

I’m trying to use the Figma MCP to create a Figma design based off our Figma components. When I use the MCP with Claude, Claude is complaining that I need to install Google Sans Flex as a distributed font. However, Google Sans Flex is already included in Figma.When I installed the font manually as an admin, it ended up causing issues with existing designer’s files. I then uninstalled the font, but then it continued to break other designer files. Claude’s output when attempting to use Figma MCP to create a design:  

I’m using the official Figma browser plugin which works great. But when I try to screenshot our local dev environment, I get this error.It’s probably something in our local environment, but how can I debug this? When I deploy my local environment to production, it works flawless. error messageWould love to hear if other people have the same issue and if anybody knows a solution. ​

If I create a brand-specific generative plugin, can I use that plugin’s sliders and controls in a template I send to Figma Buzz, so non-designers can use the plugin when creating assets?If so, how do I do this? I’m not looking to publish a plugin for everyone to use.

Knowing that currently figma make using React framework to build the applications, is there anyway export it to vue.js ?

Hi,For some reason my letter-spacing stopped working. When trying to change letter spacing, no matter which font, it scales by 1000% at a time without actually changing the text appearance. Video attached. I copied/pasted text into another new file where letter-spacing was working, and it still did not work. 

Sometimes when I try to double click on an Arabic text box Figma hang and stop working, I tried to reload tab, I tried to click on another layer or object yet it’s still not working, the only way to solve this issue is to force quit Figma and start over again.Anyone facing the same problem?

Hello, I have just registered for Figma, and I would like to understand how the platform works for someone who is not a professional web designer.I would like to try creating my own website using Figma. Could you please explain how I can get started, whether Figma is suitable for beginners, and how I can use it to design a website from scratch? I would also like to know whether I can eventually turn the design I create in Figma into an actual functioning website.

Issue 1:Sometimes, when you try to resize objects inside grid auto layout by dragging one side, the opposite side moves instead. It’s extremely confusing. I can see how this makes sense in regular auto layout, but not in grid auto layout, especially when there aren’t any other objects on the grid. It seems to happen consistently with rotated or flipped objects, but I just experienced it with an object whose rotation was set to 0°. In the attached video, you can also see a strange jump while resizing.Issue 2:In grid auto layout, if you drag one side of an object but don’t align it exactly with a grid line, the resize handle on the opposite side disappears until you snap it back to the grid.It’s also strange that I can’t option click to resize an object from its center point like you can outside of auto layout.Please see the attached videos.

Hi, I subscribed to the Collab seat thinking I was still able to edit my files but clearly that’s not the case, so I upgraded to the Full seat almost immediately. This month I’m being charged for the Collab seat, and next month I will be charged for the Full seat on top of the Collab seat, then a separate Full seat for that month. Both Full seat costs are the same price. Why am I being charged extra this month? Am I able to get a refund on the Collab seat?

To continue using the service more comfortably, I upgraded to the 3,000-credit plan. However, all of my credits were exhausted within just 2 to 3 hours.The main issue is that I have no way to see how my credits are being consumed. There is no usage breakdown or detailed history available, so the credits are simply disappearing without any visibility. When do you plan to fix the broken Ctrl+L in Figma Beta? Instead of linking to the frame, it copies the link to the page. Come on, this has been going on for about two months.

The infographic was created as part of an educational campaign for PreReq Care, a skincare brand for pre-teens and teens. My goal was to make a topic that could easily become text-heavy feel simple, approachable, and easy to understand within a few seconds.The biggest challenge wasn't the visual design itself. It was finding the right balance between providing enough information and keeping the layout clean and easy to scan.Here are some of the design decisions I focused on:Creating a strong visual hierarchy so readers know where to look first. PLEASE HELP. I AM A HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENT BUT THEY ARE NOT ALLOWING ME TO USE AI.  

I think the image basically explains it all, but using a dashed stroke with anything other than “centered” alignment causes the stroke width to suddenly double in width. Also, “inside” is failing to stay inside the stroke. Weirdly, the solid line circles behave as expected.All test circles are 80px wide, with 4px stroke width.Anyone else experiencing this? Is this a known bug? Or am I doingn soemthing wrong?
