Question

My Figma Make Preview is empty

I’m using Browser, I’ve tried refreshing, closing and re-opening the file but still does not work.

When I open the preview, it goes to “thnking”, “building” then blank.

👋🏻 Hey @waychow, welcome to Figma Forum! Thanks for reporting this, and for taking the time to troubleshoot.

Seeing "Thinking" and then "Building" usually means Make finished its turn. It sounds like the part that's failing is the preview rendering what it built. That can come down to one of two things: Something in the browser or network is blocking the preview from loading, or the generated code is hitting an error and rendering an empty page. A few things to try, quickest first:

    1. Click Reload ⟳ preview at the top of the preview panel. This is separate from refreshing the browser tab.
    2. Try a different browser, or a private/incognito window with extensions turned off. Please let me know if you have any ad blockers or privacy extensions running.
    3. Check your network. If you're on a work or school network or a VPN, the preview relies on a few domains that may need to be allowlisted. They're listed in Adjust your network settings, so you can pass that page on to your IT team.

Two additional questions that will help us narrow it down:

    • Does this happen in every Make file, or only this one?
    • Which browser are you using, and do you see any error message in the chat or the preview?

There's more on this here: Troubleshoot in Figma Make → Other issues.

I've also sent you an email and opened case: 2204396, so our team can look at the file directly. Let me know what the steps above turn up, and we'll go from there.

    Hi @Tom Reem ,

    1. Tried the refresh before, not working.
    2. Tried Chrome and Edge, both are having same issue, blank preview after “Building”
    3. I’m on home network.
    4. Only on this particular file, other files are working fine.
    5. Chrome, no error message.
