Hi, Just for background purposes, I mainly use Figma Slides as a replacement for PPT. I’m building a presentation that has around 96 slides. Past slide 84 the vertical scrolling function doesn’t work. And by the scrolling function it’s in relation to me zooming into the slide and scrolling around. Sometimes I need to zoom in on some information. I can still scroll horizontally but not vertically on any slide past 84.I’ve tired testing by adding a new slide after 84 and it still runs into the same issue. I’ve also deleted a lower numbered slide and the previous slide 85’s scrolling function works for both vertical and horizontal. I’ve then added in a new slide before the previous slide 85 and it loses it’s scrolling function again.Is this a bug or is there a limit for the slide count?

I’ve noticed a thumbnail issue that occurs depending on the background color of the thumbnail and whether you use Light Mode or Dark Mode.The border radius on the Thumbnail looks jagged if you have a light color thumbnail bg in Dark Mode or a dark color thumbnail in Light Mode. (zoom in on the image attached)Looking into it through the web browser I found the reason to be that the border color is a solid color.One simple fix to solve the issue would be to make the border color on Thumbnail containers a low opacity color.In the attached image I changed the border colors to be 20% opacity black and white depending on Light/Dark Mode and you can see the jagged issue is gone and the border radii are smooth.Is this a big problem? No, of course not. But it would be an easy fix.Thank you Figma!  

Am I the only one who is totally confused as how the “Import from Figma” dialog window in Figma Make works? It shows only some files but not others, don’t know why. The text search is completely random IMO and you’re not able to select a specific page or a frame in the file - it just selects some random frame from a file.Why cannot I just browse all my projects and select a particular file and frame?From what I understood, selecting the design through this dialog is somehow superior to just copying and pasting a particular frame into the prompt. Figma Make is then able to extract more detailed information. Copying & pasting is just like a screenshot, I guess?

Hello,I am trying out figma code connect for our design system and codebase. I managed to successfully connect one component set via code connect cli. When I check any instance or variant of that component in figma dev mode, in code connect section I can see all properties and imports mapped correctly. However, when I am using figma remote mcp server in cursor and asking agent to see how to code that component, it does not get all that information included in code connect mapping. What could be an issue?For example, code snippet for this in figma:Code snippet returned by my cursor figma remote mcp is just figma own implementation.

The variables panel has broken completely for me. It’s not possible to select or collaps/expand groups. I think the expand/collapse has broken, when I select a group in the left pane it doesn’t seem to register that the above group has been collapsed and it still selects something in that collapsed group as if it was open instead of selecting the group I’m actually clicking. Effectively I cannot work with my variables atm. at all- please fix asap, it’s holding up alot of work for me. Thanks

In the Share settings of a given file (Share button >  Can view > Advanced), the Discoverable via search checkbox option is unchecked by default.I would think this refers to search within Figma (vs discoverable in general search engines), but searching for these files returns them in the results even with this setting is unchecked and when I’m not a member of the Team or Project.What does checking or unchecking this option actually do? And is there a way to globally, or at a Team level, change the default setting?  

Hi! I'm currently testing the Figma MCP integration using Cursor. It works fine when running cursor from Windows, but I’d like to have everything set up and working from WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux).I tried forwarding port 3852, but it’s still not connecting properly.Has anyone managed to get it working from WSL? Any tips or steps you can share would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know of a way to do promise-based messaging between the plugin and the UI? (@Gleb 🙂) Using the globals: parent.postMessage(...) → figma.ui.onmessage → figma.ui.postMessage(...) → window.onmessage can lead to spaghetti code… promises would be so much cleaner. Really only the UI → Plugin direction would be fine, e.g.: someCoolMessaging.post(type: 'get-some-data', payload: { id: 5 }).then(data => { console.log('got some data', data) }) .catch((error) => { console.log('error getting data from plugin') })

Hello Figma Team,I’m a student at the Vocational university Brobygrafiska in Sunne, Sweden (Digital Design, expected graduation 2026). For my coursework, I need to verify my account to the education plan. Unfortunately, my application for this has not been processed, neither from Figma or SheerId.Here’s what happened: I entered all my details correctly (school, program, dates, etc.). SheerID didn’t respond. I tried multiple times to provide documents (Student ID, enrollment confirmation) but was not able to, I only received an error message.  I have reached out to Figma support, but every time I only get the same response: “Please contact SheerID.” I did so but didn't receive an answer. What am I supposed to do if SheerID does not reply and simply ignores my requests?   I need to receive an education plan in order to complete my studies.What should I do to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I have been playing around with Figma MCP and it looks very promising. I am curious if @figma or anyone else has any guidance on writing system rules in cursor (or another IDE) specific to reading Figma designs / frames better.I am experimenting with creating links to other figma files / libraries for accessing Phosphor icons, Brand Colours, Brand Symbols etc to see if I can improve the accuracy of the coded output from my design. (*there appears to be a lot of guesswork by the A.I. despite these components are imported from a team library)*I will do a test on the layer naming to see if it works better.**If you are using Annotations on the design canvas I would be grateful to see what content you are adding there. 

I’m having an issue in my Figma Design file with colour library for past few days. Inside the colour library dropdown, the colours I have added from my Design System are not showing any thumbnail. I can see all the colour variable created in the Design System but none of the groups are showing colour thumbnails. Once I switch from grid view to list view in the colour library dropdown, I can see the complete list of all the colours and they are working correctly. But I’m still not seeing the colours thumnail associated to the variables. I’m attaching screenshots to give a better context of what the issue is. Any idea what I’m doing wrong or any suggestions to resolve this?Not able to see the colours in colour libraryCan see the colours in list view but colour thumbnail is still not visible  

After completing my verification with SheerID, I got an error message that says “It looks like you’ve already been approved for this offer.” However, when I check my account, I’m still on the Starter plan and don’t have access to the student plan features.

Hi! Why after installing a new version and after subscribing to collab mode the button (right one with rulers) doesnt work in design mode?

I was exploring Figma Make for training our design system foundational color tokens and elements, but when I trying to copy paste FIGMA frames/importing it to the prompt area, it was not working.. I couldn’t see the files/frames attached to the prompt thread. And even it got suddenly disabled the plus button (attach file/ import file) for me.

I recently upgraded to an educational account but it says I have reached my current limit. I have been using the AI to create a UI mockup. Why is my account being limited like if it were a starter account? 

SF Symbols now appear smaller when creating them using the keyboard. I had a library of SF Symbols in one of my files, and after comparing the same symbol with the same font size and all other settings, they appear different - the one from before looks significantly bigger. Also, after checking the size of SF Symbols used in the iOS 18 Official UI Kit from Apple, their size is still as big as it was before. What could be the issue? Thanks! 

We are in the process of changing our domain name, and we are currently using "Login with Google" for authentication. Could you please provide the steps to update this integration with the new domain? I have been unable to reach support through other channels. Appreciate any assistance.

Probably duplicate of  We have figma project where i can only comment and view from my account, if i try to tag anyone (eg. neither “@S” or “@Some User”) I always see only “No people found for s”, even when i copypaste name from colleague comment (his name or person he correctly tagged in his comment) it display no users.I use latest Chrome browser and https://www.figma.com/design/some_cool_hash_project_name. The figma.com/api/contacts/at_mentions request is returning:error: falsei18n: nullmeta: []status: 200 

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I am trying to avoid multiple layers.Why can’t I make a component with a text property and then have variants with different values in that property? What am I missing? Why do I have to create a master component and then wrap that in sub components?
