I’ve been working on a “desktop” prototype lately, (i’m on a mac) and when I test the animations inside Figma, everything works perfectly; the flickering issue only occurs in the browsers, and specifically with the "Smart Animate" action. I’ve already run all the usual checks—ensuring matching layer names across variants, avoiding "clip content" where possible—but anyway certain issues persist. Testing in my own Chrome browser works flawlessly, yet the problem appears in a colleague's Chrome browser (Both are updated). Personally, I only see the issue in Safari and Firefox. So, I don't quite understand where the root cause lies on Browsers, though I know for sure it stems from "Smart Animate." Also, I don't know which browser the client is using ; I ran a quick test on a PC as well, and the problem occurs there too.Have any of you guys experienced this? Just tried Figma Motion and animations work great when tested on standalone screens. However, there's a noticeable issue when a page transition is triggered via an interaction (e.g. clicking a CTA): the final state of the animation briefly flashes (~0.5s) before snapping back to its initial state and playing. This creates a visible glitch every time you navigate between pages. Hope this gets looked into! Additionally, there seems to be a bug with overlays: animations don't appear to trigger when placed inside an overlay. The animation simply doesn't play.

I’m creating a new variant for a wordmark lockup. Changing the color variable applied to the vector that comprises the wordmark itself does 2 things it shouldn’t: it resizes the vector and it skews the vector. Aspect ratio lock is not turned on for the wordmark vector, but I have made zero size/scale changes; I have only changed the color. This makes zero sense.

Hello everyone,I am facing a persistent login issue with Figma Weave that completely blocks me from accessing the tool.Steps to reproduce:I go to the Figma Weave welcome/login screen. I click the "Log in with Figma" button. The page turns dark and gets stuck on a loading spinner for a while. Eventually, it redirects me back to the login screen with a red error banner at the top: "Email/password login isn't available. Please sign in with Google or Microsoft." Important details:I cannot use the other two options (Google or Microsoft login) because this is my Figma Education plan student account, meaning I must authenticate strictly through my Figma identity. The error appears even though I am not trying to enter an email/password manually; it triggers automatically after the Figma redirect loop. I have already uploaded the screenshot showing the error page. Has anyone else encountered this with student accounts, or is there a known workaround?Thanks in advance for any help!

I have wasted a good three or four hours venturing with code components for the first time for Figma Sites. I would dare ask anyone to recreate the following two code components:A dark mode / light mode switch in the hope that Figma site should be able to “switch” therefore from Dark to Light Mode according to the tokens/ variable modes.   An animated header as code component, a simple animated header that can be placed anywhere on canvas, with height set to hug to contents, width dynamic to accommodate the text input, and with obviously - a text input published parameter alongside simple animation settings. And see how much hallucinations, refusal galore(s) in return. I am simply losing hope in Figma AI in general.

When I select an object on the canvas and drag it toward the bottom edge of the viewport, the canvas stops moving and does not auto-scroll to follow the cursor. I have to release the mouse button and scroll manually before I can continue moving the object farther down. Expected behavior: the canvas should auto-scroll when I drag a selected object near the viewport edge, so I can keep moving it without releasing the mouse button.

Since 2/3 days ago, the figma links i  use on jira tickets wont open the desktop app anymore and will open the web app without asking me if i want to open the link on the app. I tried clearing the cache but it didnt change anything.I’m using firefox on windows

I recently ran into an issue with file permissions after organizing my workspace, and I need help finding a solution.The issue: Previously, all my files were accessible to my entire team with "Can edit" permissions. After organizing these files into folders/projects last week, multiple files automatically changed their sharing status to "Invited to the file", causing team members to lose their expected access. The blockers: No bulk permission editing: There is no way to select multiple files at once and update their sharing settings in batch. Permissions do not cascade: Updating the sharing permissions at the parent folder/project level does not apply to or override the individual permissions of the files inside. Having to manually open and update the share modal for dozens of individual files is not feasible. Is there a way to force files to inherit folder-level permissions, or any workaround to reset permissions in bulk?Thank you!

When two macOS users are logged in, whichever account starts FigmaAgent first gets the port. Figma in the other account then connects to that agent and sees the first user's fonts instead of its own. The second user's locally installed fonts don't appear in Figma.To reproduce:Log in as user A and open Figma, which starts A's agent. Without logging A out, switch to user B. In B's account, install a font in ~/Library/Fonts and open Figma. Every time the content of the red block appears, I have to deduct the points again😭😭 

When I am bulk creating my components, I found out that the auto layout did not automatically adjust according to the content. I double checked my original design and tried to adjust the content in my orginal design, eveything works fine.

I have noticed that when I am on longer sessions in Figma Make, the chat window content will blink/flicker after it completes it’s response.  This often blinks a dozen times or so and I cannot read the output until it is done.  It appears this may have something to do with the length of the session as the issue gets worse over time and goes away if I start a fresh chat.

Hi there, I’m troubleshooting building a suite of evergreen ad campaign assets in Buzz. The only things that should ever need to change are the copy for my offer and the brand logo featured.As I poured over the assets from a prebuilt library, I’m noticing that some of the title copy (that will never need to be edited) has differentiated itself in the bulk edit spreadsheet, in spite of being identical to its siblings.  The right-hand column “flash offer” randoms should be living in the column to the left.It doesn’t look like there’s a way for me to brute-force this by pasting them into the proper column. What could I have done wrong to make them separate like this, and how can I avoid it as I try to build this suite for my team? There are quite a few assets with this issue and I’d like to fix it entirely rather than just hide both columns. HiI am creating this separate topic as a follow-up to this existing thread, as I am experiencing the exact same issue and wanted to share some technical findings.When exporting animations to MP4 from the Figma Desktop app on macOS, an animation that exported perfectly a few weeks ago now renders drastically darker, despite using the exact same project and export settings.I compared the media files in VLC and found a clear change in the underlying color matrix used by the encoder:Old (Correct) Render: Encoded using ITU-R BT.601 New (Bugged) Render: Encoded using ITU-R BT.709I'm attaching screenshots comparing the original canvas, the old vs. new renders, and the VLC codec data to help illustrate this.Hope this helps the engineering team pinpoint the exact regression!

I am trying to create a workflow for bulk changing sub-headlines, and resizing for marketing creatives. I am unable to generate an editable content/image bank despite naming the fields correctly and also locking the layers that should not be subjected to an edit once a spreadsheet is uploaded with the sub-headline variations. Need some guidance on this front.

Hi there, I’m a high school student who has been developing and designing software for almost 6 years now.Here is the issue, I have tried to register for the education plan with my xxxxxxxxxx@csspo.ca school email address, the domain is supposed to be something like csspo.gouv.qc.ca or smth like that but for some reason this year “csspo.ca” is the domain the school has given us (which doesn’t get recognized as a valid education domain name).I have used Figma Education in the past and honestly it has been a hastle since the recent changes to the verification system.I have emailed Figma’s support team several times now with no reply, and I really hope to get help this time.Thank you in advance,
