I made a simple change by adding a label to a button in the layout, and it consumed 176 credits. I'm struggling to understand how Figma Make credits are calculated. If this is the expected usage for such a small change, it doesn't seem very practical.
Figma Make credits

Hi
I wanted to weigh in here with some more context: Since AI determines what actions it needs to perform in order to complete the task, we can't predict exactly how many credits it will use. In your case, 176 credits for a button label change may point to factors beyond the edit itself, such as: the model selected or accumulated prompt history in the file. This resource provides a general range of what to expect by feature, along with more detail on how each of those factors affects consumption: How AI credits work → AI credit consumption by feature. For steps on optimizing around these factors, these best practices are worth a look:
If 176 credits for that change still seems unexpected after reviewing those resources, please share more detail on the prompt you entered — including the model used and whether any files were attached. With that, I'll be happy to raise this to our Product Support team for a deeper look. We'll keep watch for your reply — again, thanks for sharing your experience. 🙏🏻
