Figma for Jira v1.0.16-AC — Legacy Platform / No Update Available — January 2027 Deadline

Dear Figma Support Team,

We are currently using Figma for Jira v1.0.16-AC on our Atlassian Jira Cloud instance. The app is currently flagged as "Legacy" in our Atlassian Admin panel, and there is no Update option available on the Marketplace.

As Atlassian has announced the end-of-support for legacy app platform frameworks in January 2027, we need to understand Figma's roadmap for this app.

Could you please provide:

  1. Is Figma for Jira being actively maintained and migrated to the Forge platform ahead of the January 2027 deadline?

  2. If yes, what is the expected release timeline for a compliant version?

  3. If the app will not be updated, is there an official alternative or replacement you recommend for embedding Figma designs in Jira?

We would appreciate a response by end of September 2026 to assess our options in time.

    Hello Support Team,

    I am following up on this request because we have not yet received a concrete answer regarding the Connect end-of-support deadline on 31 January 2027.

    Could you please confirm:

    1. Whether this app will be migrated to Forge before 31 January 2027.
    2. The expected release or migration date.
    3. Whether any action, reconfiguration, permission approval, or data migration will be required from us.
    4. Whether all current functionality and existing data will be preserved.
    5. What alternative you recommend if the migration will not be completed before the deadline.

    We need this information for our internal risk and continuity planning. We would appreciate an update by 30 September 2026.

    ello,

    On our Jira Cloud site, two Figma apps are installed in Connected apps: “Figma” (version 4.0.0, flagged Outdated) and “Figma for Jira” (version 1.0.16-AC, flagged Legacy, with a warning that it may stop working after January 2027).

    Could you please tell me:

    1. Can I uninstall “Figma” and keep only “Figma for Jira”? If not, what are the consequences (loss of existing design links, previews, notifications, automations)?
    2. What is the difference between the two apps, and is “Figma” the replacement for “Figma for Jira”?
    3. Will “Figma for Jira” be migrated before January 2027? If not, what is the recommended path?
