Hey, I’ve ran into a weird problem and want to see if anyone else has this problem or a solution.Right now my team is working on updating our UI library and organizing our main components into frames to display them clearly (similar to how Material Design type kits lay them out). The way we have our components set up is we apply an auto layout to the frame that’s created once you add a variant to a component.Since we’re wanting to clean up the display of the components, we’re trying to get the variables a neater layout and have tried using the grid layout as they allow you to place the variables next to one another & give you blank spaces that you cant get with an auto layout that just has a wrap.As I’ve been moving things into grids, I noticed that all of the interactions applied to the variants have been completely deleted and I’m not sure why. I know grids are still in beta so it could be a bug, but I want to double check just to make sure it’s not me doing something wrong so I

 I’m trying to create an absolutely placed footer that contains a form.  It can expand to 1000 and then should be centered if the screen size is greater than that.  If the screen is less than 1000 then it should shrink to a minimum of 300.  The container seen in white has auto layout applied.How do I prevent the blue box from breaking out of the layout?  

I have some buttons that have a hover effect and in the prototype there is slight movement of the content. I checked the position of the content to be the same in both instances (default and hovered) in regards to the margins and in between items I applied a “while hovering” interaction with instant animation This also seems to happen in between separate screens of a prototype for text in a header component that doesn’t have animation applied or any other interaction. Anyone has any idea?

I have a product with core components that are used across multiple clients. In each client, the component is "dressed" with the client's colors and fonts. I'd like to keep the core component connected to the library, but when used in the client file, the client's colors and fonts are applied.I tried to do this using variable modes. I created a library for the client with the color and font variables, but I can't get it to work in the client's Figma component.Is there a way to make this work? Or another way to apply the client's colors and fonts to the component?

I keep on getting a reminder to head into dev mode to remind admins about an upgrade request. Like all the time. Every 10 or 20 minutes maybe. I don't think I ever made an upgrade request and I'm not part of any group that has admins. I signed up with my work email but I'm the only person at the company who uses Figma. It never happens on my personal account.Are other people receiving this as well? It's very annoying.

 I’m hoping someone can clarify this for me. I used to copy objects from Adobe Illustrator with Cmd +C and paste them into Figma with Cmd +V, and they would arrive as editable vectors. I’m absolutely certain this worked before. Lately, though, every paste comes in as a flattened image instead of vectors. Nothing in my workflow has changed, so I’m starting to wonder if I’m losing my mind! Has Figma (or Illustrator) changed something recently? Is there a setting or workaround I’m missing? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have built a Figma Make Project which is working beautifully. I have following questions about the same: How can I duplicate the project? I can see the option to download the Figma Make file but how can I use it to duplicate the project? Even the code can be downloaded but how to use the downloaded zip file again to create another similar project? Will the code be stable and scalable? Should I just treat it as MVP or I can rely on it to build a scalable business. I am not a coder, therefore, I want to know how much I can rely on Figma Make only.  Can you provide a feature to directly create Github repo from Figma Make project. Many other platforms like Replit provide it.  

I’m unable to publish changes to my library. I keep getting a message to reload the page to publish. After reloading, there’s a record that a component was indeed published; but there’s no updates available or any changes on the Figma files where I’m using this library. Any idea what I’m missing or is there an issue?

Hi! A previous team member was the owner of the Figma file and was receiving email notifications from Figma normally (view request from external people). Before he left the company, I assigned myself the owner of the file.I was expecting to receive the notification emails of view requests since I got the ownership of the file. But nothing happened.My problem is: with the recent Figma upgrade, the view request panel in Figma doesn’t show the emails of the people who want to view the file (before the upgrade it did). I need that information for security reasons (that could be solved with the email notification).I already tried to adjust Figma preferences in order to receive the email notifications, but it didn’t help.Any clues?Thanks! 

I’m having an issue in my Figma Design file with colour library for past few days. Inside the colour library dropdown, the colours I have added from my Design System are not showing any thumbnail. I can see all the colour variable created in the Design System but none of the groups are showing colour thumbnails. Once I switch from grid view to list view in the colour library dropdown, I can see the complete list of all the colours and they are working correctly. But I’m still not seeing the colours thumnail associated to the variables. I’m attaching screenshots to give a better context of what the issue is. Any idea what I’m doing wrong or any suggestions to resolve this?Not able to see the colours in colour libraryCan see the colours in list view but colour thumbnail is still not visible  

Hi everyone,I recently came across the term Snapchat BSF list planets and I’m a bit confused about what it actually means. Hi. I have a question, is it my error or is it more of a rendering of the image when prototyping? I have a project, I divided the website sections into individual frames. I then “wrapped” these frames into one large frame. They are aligned perfectly every single pixel. Unfortunately, in the prototypes view I occasionally get such a thin gray line between the frames as below in the screenshot. How to deal with this?

Can you realistically and honestly building a working and stable website on Figma Make or is just for prototyping? I am not a developer but i managed to build about three sites on Figma Make, published them and is now live but i do not have the comfort of knowing that the sites will remain stable

Normally the library files show a little icon in the lower left of the tile thumbnail image that looks like an open book. One of my files is showing a new symbol I’ve never seen before and I don’t know what it means. Anyone know?Symbol I haven’t seen before. 

Hi everyone,As deadline for re-verifying our Education status (29 September) is coming up, I’m very worried our team may not complete it in time, which could impact ongoing design projects. Our issue: VUS (Vietnam-USA Society English Centers) does not appear in the Vietnam academic institutions list during the SheerID verification step. Because of this, we cannot proceed with re-verification for Figma Education. I submitted a support ticket to SheerID last week asking to have VUS added to the schools list. However, the response I received did not resolve the issue (screenshot attached).SheerID Customer Support responseHas anyone faced a similar problem, or does anyone know the best way to resolve this quickly? When I’m selecting a color variable the previews aren’t showing even though my library is enabled and I’ve already tried restarting Figma and my computer? I’m also not on Figma beta

I was testing figma code connect with mcp and Cursor and unfortunately found that i cannot refine component that is already connected - because “suggested code” is not returns, it only contains my connected infoI tried to run ‘figma connect unpubish --node’, command returns :Unpublishing Code Connect files from Figma...Successfully deleted:--- (React)--- (storybook)* my code is vueBut then mcp again returns my code connect snippet instead of real “react code” as it was before connection

I’m facing a strange issue in Figma. Some elements in my project are completely invisible on the canvas—they don’t show up while I’m designing, and even though they are clearly listed in the layers panel. However, when I switch to Prototype mode, those same elements suddenly appear as expected. I’ve tried checking layer visibility, groups, and constraints, but nothing seems to fix it. Has anyone experienced this problem before or know a solution?  

All the semantic variables are just hex values the reference colors (primitive palette) are stored in STYLES instead of variables The semantic roles are doubled both in the vairables and the styles the components themselves consume the styles instead of the variables The option to generate the color table is not a checkbox like the documentation claims. its just a link to the plugin page? I just want a simple monochrome app with one accent color for my CTA. VERY standard stuff. I don’t want this weird multicolor rainbow library that gives me PINK cards. What is going on???…. It’s a literal nightmare. I can’t see how to use or customise it systematically, or why any of these decisions were made. Is there anybody here who has successfuly used it and actually understands how it works??
