I've noticed Slots keeps swapping out components when a library update occurs. I made sure there were no changes to the master components that is embed within the slot composition. As well as no changes made to the master composition where the embedded components sit within the Slot sections of the composition Is this a bug?
Hey all!I have a use case where I’m trying to build some basic Figma Design mockup documentation for users who are not UX people by trade and may be starting from absolutely zero Figma experience. I figured Make would be a good way to bridge the gap – but even when I give it a strict template image and tell it not to make changes, it keeps making major edits. The end result is fine design-wise but doesn’t look anything like what users could/should be working towards.Has anyone had any luck with getting it to stick to a specific format? I also can’t give these users access to any libraries; they would have to be able to get to the end result with an image and description only.
Attention all Persian and Arabic designers! While using the "Peyda" font, I noticed that it offers specific default styles for the letters *Kaf* (ک) and *Gaf* (گ).If you wish to disable these styles—so that the letters *Kaf* and *Gaf* do not appear in their elongated forms—follow the steps below. Go to the typography settings from the Design tab.At the top of the menu that opens, select Details.Toggle this option to review the desired change. I hope you find it useful.
Hi everyone,I recently received a Figma Config 2026 community code for India event, but I’m a bit confused about how and where to redeem it.The code starts in this format:CONFIG 26-XXX- XXXXXXI’m unable to find the correct redemption page anywhere on the Config website or inside my Figma account.Could anyone point me to the proper page URL or flow for redeeming these Config codes? If you’ve already done it before, a quick step-by-step would really help. Thanks in advance 🙏
I have a component that has some lines in it. The lines are spaced out with a specific ratio. The idea is that I can use these lines and scale the component while keeping the ratio between the lines the same when I scale the component up or down. I can’t seem to get my head around this. For context it is to be used in a graph. I have tried farming the lines, I have used the scale property, the Left+Right property and even the Center property and none of the above worked.I have tried to use boxes as spacers between the lines. I can get the boxes to scale correctly, however the lines will not follow the boxes: Thanks for any input - it will be valued very much!

Hi Figma team,I’m developing a plugin and would like to ask whether Figma plans to expose an API for a node’s motion path trajectory, or whether there is already any supported way to read that data.In the Motion UI, after creating a position animation, users can edit the movement path much like editing a regular curve, which makes more complex path-based motion possible. When I tried to reproduce this behavior in a plugin, I found that I could read timing/easing-related data, but I could not find the key data that defines the spatial trajectory itself. If this data is not currently exposed, it becomes a major limitation for exporting or translating Figma Motion animations into mainstream web animation ecosystems such as Lottie, SVG, PAG, and similar formats, because path-based movement cannot be reconstructed accurately.Could you clarify:Whether motion path / trajectory data is currently available through the Plugin API in any form Whether there is any recommended workaround to access o
I’m on Organization and trying to use Transfer from a workspace that still shows All projects to a destination team on Professional that shows All folders. The destination URL validates and shows verified, but after I select Request transfer, I get: ‘You cannot transfer to this organization at this moment. Please contact support for more details.’ The item contains three design files, and this happens in the browser and the desktop app.
There is currently no way to move/transfer variables between published libraries (while maintaining all linkages) the same way you can with components or styles, right? My use case is that we currently have two separate libraries—“Styles” which contains typography and spacing variables, and “Colors” which contains color variables—that I would like to merge into one. But we have all sorts of legacy stuff pointed at “Colors,” so I don’t think an export/import/swap libraries process is going to cut it.Am I missing anything? Has anyone found a solution for this problem? Or is it at least on Figma’s roadmap?
Hi! I am curious about a component structure and if possibly Figma has a cleaner solution than my current one.Example: I have a product item in a cart. The product has small tags attached to it, but the product in the prototype may have a variable amount of those tags. One product might have 6 tags, another might have 2.In my original component, I usually add max amount of tags and then just hide the unnecessary ones. Is there any other way to do this dynamic component amount, perchance?Example below:
I’m working on a design in Figma and I’m looking for a cursive or script font that feels elegant but is still easy to read.I’ve tried a few different fonts, but some of them look too decorative, especially when used for headings. What cursive fonts would you recommend for a modern design?I’d especially appreciate suggestions for fonts that work well for headings, logos, invitations, or other creative designs.
I’ve connected a custom MCP server connector and the Connect goes through, manage shows correct list of tools and I can set whether each needs permission to use or not. But when I try to use the connector, I get back that Figma fails to load any tools. I’ve used the same server with Claude and Codex and works there. Any ideas what could be the problem? Is there any special steps to add the connecter to session (I’ve used the +-button). Here’s what Figma AI says about the connector. The OINO.cloud server has no listed resources. MCP servers expose tools separately from resources — I can only list resources via my available tools, not enumerate the tool definitions directly.PS. talking about the browser-Figma.
So normally in Figma Design its easy enough to sort but for whatever reason in Figma Sites I just can’t figure out why content scrolls over the sticky header. I’m really just playing around for a small website for a friend but I’ve now rebuilt it 3 times :D
Hi everyone,We’re using a Figma Professional Team account, and recently we’ve started facing an issue where users are being kicked out, and only two users are able to stay logged in at the same time. This restriction wasn’t there previously, and multiple team members were able to access the account without any issues.Has anyone else experienced this recently? Is this related to a change in Figma’s login/device policy, or is there a recommended way to resolve this?Would upgrading the plan or creating a separate account under a new email address be the right approach?Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you!
I have quite a complex component (I guess), so I understand there's probably limitations around this. The design is more complex, I've just simplified for the demo and to not show client branding. The Figma file (view only). Prototype linkThe EffectWhen the user hovers over the side of the page, a cursor appears. As they move the mouse up/down the user follows them. Clicking "navigates to" a new page. This works pretty well...The ProblemIt works well if you click the middle of component - but if you click at the top/bottom, when it "navigates to" the new page, the component resets to it's default/initial state (centred) before moving back up/down to where it was - this is because the cursor moves when the rectangular areas are hovered over. The ComponentBasically has 11 variants, each one has the 'cursor' in a different position, aligning with one of the rectangles. Each of the rectangle (hotspots) has a "While Hovering", "Change To", Position x" set to it with an "Animation" of "Smart A
Hello! I am somewhat new designing stuff in Figma, and I have an issue with some animations.I animated a velocimeter in the Motion section to play just when clicking on it, but every time I open an overlay on the same page it triggers the animation to start all over again. I don’t really know how to stop it, and need some help because I couldn’t find any info about this issue.
## Question I'm building an AI-powered design automation platform that needs to:1. Accept design requirements as text input2. Generate complete designs programmatically3. Output to Figma for user editing/refinement I was excited about Figma MCP as the solution, but after thorough testing, it seems **the `use_figma` tool cannot actually create or modify design elements**. ## What I've Tried **Setup:**- Figma OAuth with full scopes: `current_user:read`, `file_content:read`, `file_dev_resources:write`- Direct JSON-RPC calls to official Figma MCP server- Manually created template Figma file- Instructed MCP to create hero sections, text, buttons, etc. **Result:**- MCP accepted requests without error- **Zero changes to the Figma file**- File remained blank after design generation ## What Works vs What's Missing ### ✅ Works- Read file metadata- Get design context (read layout, styles)- Export as PNG/SVG- Post comments- Apply design suggestions ### ❌ Doesn't Work / Missing- Insert frames or co
Is there a limit to the number of interactions i can have in a single design file?
Our team is noticing that our main design system library is having hundreds of changes flagged in the publishing panel, even after a weekend of not working on the library. The panel shows what’s modified, removed, or added, but isn’t clear what the changes are or what caused them. It’s scary publishing these types of updates because they aren’t coming from our team. Is this something being caused by Figma? How can we feel comfortable publishing so many changes when we weren’t even the ones making them?
Hi Figma Support,I’m now facing a problem that our company’s account was registered with an gmail address and now we try to transfer the account and the file to another email address (with our company domain).I would like to know that after I let one team member’s account become the admin, does that mean I can remove the original account? Plus, the original address owned the annual full seat, would it be possible that i can change another account to the annual full seat from the monthly full seat?Would it be risky that I just delete the original account? Will I loose all my files >< Thanks for your helping~!
Hi everyone, I’m working on a Figma project with a growing number of components and variants, and I’m wondering how others manage large design systems efficiently. What approaches have worked well for keeping components organized, maintaining consistent variants, and making updates easier across multiple files?I’m especially interested in tips for managing component libraries, variants, naming conventions, and reusable design elements without making the file difficult to maintain.Would love to hear what workflows or best practices have worked for others.
Hi there! We have a large multibrand system with 17 brands which i’ve inherited. Each brand has 2 primitive collections (standard + colours), and then the semantic collection which houses each brand as a mode. There was no planning for inverse/knockout variants of components, so those needing an on-dark or a flexible background colour (and corresponding text colours) which of course we now need for some brands. In the case of our footer, i had created knockout tokens to sit in the existing eg: font/colour/interactive/text button group and then created a new variant of the footer to map them too and added a boolean switch between the default and inverse themes. But is there another way (without refactoring all of our tokens)
I cannot figure out how to use auto layout space between like this Youtube video - I have 2 auto layout components that are in a auto layout component wit 1440 width. How can I Put equal spacing between so they are positioned to the front and end of the nav. How can I add padding to the left side of the logo (first component)?
