Dear all,I was facing the same issue with variables in mobile prototypes. The variables are working fine on desktop, chrome or safari but not working on figma mobile app  or mobile browsers.I found out that it is caused by custom fonts that I used. The fonts are not available on mobile so It crashes. When I set the fonts to Inter, It is working fine.I saw that many people are struggling with this issue. I solved my problem by changing to default fonts, If you are facing the similar issue, try checking if you are using a font that is available on mobile phones.

Hi all, I am trying to create localised assets for my company and using Figma Buzz and the Bulk Create feature.I paste in the template I am working with into Figma Buzz, upload the xlsx file with the format as attached but when connecting the items and clicking “Create assets” it’s creating the assets but it’s just duplicating them. It’s not replacing the text as per the spreadsheet. What am I doing wrong? Or is this a bug? 

There is a hover effect I’m using in my regular design files, but when I try to do it in Figma Sites, I can’t seem to replicate it. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Here’s a Loom link to a quick video walkthrough of my issue:  

My students recently had to reverify their accounts and I noticed that our listing still reflects our outdated branding and location.We are listed as “Creative Academy (Woodstock)” - old name and location.Today we go by “Cape Town Creative Academy” and we reside in the Silo District, Cape Town. We moved in 2022 and decided to be the one and only Creative Academy, bound the mother city.Can this be updated somewhere?I’m the current IxD program coordinator (head of department) as of 2022. My predecessor may have initially registered us so I’m unsure where to look to make this update.Please advise and thank you!

Hello folksI’ve created a project with figma make , downloaded its files to my PC and deleted it from figma make, now i want figma make to add some additional features, how can i upload my project again to figma make for re editing? is possible to upload the code files that created by figma make for re editing?

I work in Figma every day, often juggling multiple brands at once. One challenge I keep running into is the lack of Pantone color referencing when using variables.Our organization recently shifted completely from Adobe to Figma and Affinity. While the transition has been great overall, our team still struggles with referencing work in Figma since we can’t easily reference Pantone colors within the system library.I get that Figma is primarily web-design focused, but there’s a huge opportunity to expand into print and editing features, think brochures, magazines, etc. Even something as simple as linking Pantone references to brand colors in variables would be a real game changer.Curious if anyone else is facing this, or if Figma has plans in this direction?

Hi, very fun playing around with Figma Make, and am chomping at the bit for more functionality ;) Main Q right now: when will we be able to use our own photos and images in Make? At first I tried using my photos, providing the image itself, links in the code, etc. to no avail. Then I noticed in the help article that it says using direct images isn't available yet — the model will just create an interpretation of the image right now. Is this right or am I trying to upload/retrieve images/photos all wrong? Please let us know all the things! I'm sure other early experimenters want to know too...

I am doing a website with decorative illustrations, which mean every elements are to be put on a single page. I chose to add drop shadow and inner shadow to enhance the visual. However my figma get super lag to the pointt when I run my prototype, some animations crashed my work. Nevertheless I didnt want to remove the shadow effects unless it’s my only choice. Do you guys know anything to solve this issue? I would really much appreciate it TT

Hi everyone,I’m wondering if anyone has dealt with this before or has advice on the best way to get in touch with someone at Figma. 🙂I’ve been trying for the past two weeks to set up my education account, but I haven’t received any response. Right now, Figma isn’t recognizing my @fsusd.org email as eligible for an education account. When I tried adding my students to my team, it only lets me create four projects, which means my students can’t make their own.I couldn’t find a direct email or phone number on their website, so I’m stuck. Has anyone else experienced this? Do you know the best way to reach someone at Figma, or if there’s a specific contact for education accounts?Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi,I need your help! I’m creating a grid layout with cards and auto layout. Demo video: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/uglipepcq41ox0o49cy6m/figma-cards-autolayout.mov?rlkey=1uhlzb7gksu6g7qeqvq2qtb07&dl=0 As you see in the video, there is a grid layout with cards. I have added extra invisible cards to the grid to fill the gap in the grid. Every card has Fill width and a min width. When I simulate the responsiveness, up to a certain point everything works fine. The cards resizes and moves as the window size changes. I need the wrap effect to display mmore acrds on a row if the screen is bigger, fewer if thescreen shrinks. But as you see the last card cannot resize as I wish (also because the invisible cards on the right) after a bigger screensize. Also the invisible cards creates an empty row at a wide screen width. This empty row remains when I switch to the second tab. Is there a solution for this? I need to present the responsiveness and the empty row didn’t help. :( 

Hi! I don't know how to fix it.The scenario is as follows:1) I created components, for example a button.2) I created a bunch of files where I plugged in this library and successfully use it.3) I updated the background color and rounding values (Variables) of the button.4) I saved the changes5) Now I expect that by synchronizing (updating) the files with the library, the changes should be pulled into the layouts, but the changes are not pulled. Moreover, if I copy a component from the library and paste it into a file to which the library is connected, Figma writes that I have a non-updated component in the file and that it needs to be updated. Clicking on update component, the settings are reset to the old ones. I attach a video, I hope someone can help =)

I noticed that Figma has a feature in the WatchOS 11 design kit, as seen at 00:09 here: https://www.figma.com/release-notes/?title=new-apple-ui-kitsIt’s a circular path that has controls for growing and shrinking it along the circle. How do I create this from scratch, I can’t seem to find any tools that support it.  

I’m new to Figma make so I want to make sure the pre-existing libraries are not ruined by me playing around with Figma make. When I click in Figma make on the book and I select a library and click on rewrite styles. It will only re-write the style of my Figma make or changes that I make in Figma make in terms of style will be reflected back on the original library? Because if it’s bi-directional I won't use it, but if not, I would very much like my Figma make to have the same style as our product. Thank you all

Hi everyone 👋I’m working on a project where I’d like to place two separate PDFs (each with text) into different panes inside Figma — kind of like a side-by-side document viewer. Is there any way to add a PDF (or images of the PDF pages) so that Figma can read the text itself (OCR-style), instead of it just being a flat image? Can Figma Make (or any plugin) highlight sections of the PDF text if I search or ask for something? If OCR or highlighting isn’t possible natively, are there recommended plugins, workarounds, or integrations that can help (for example, extracting the text and keeping it synced with the PDF pages)? Has anyone done something similar in Figma or knows the best way to approach it?Thanks a lot 🙏

I am developing a Figma plugin which enable product manger to add document description and save in database, I am using figma.fileKey to distinguish files, but I checked with filekey can not be used for public plugin, so I want to know whether my plugin is public plugin? for the filekey it is only used for the user self.

Hiii, I’m considering using Figma sites instead of Framer but I couldn’t find 2 things:I want to be able to define the scroll direction between screens (vertical/ landscape). So if I’m scrolling down the screen moves to the right etc. Control the click transitions. So when I click on a button or do any action I could control the transitions (like move in/out/smart animate on prototype).What am I missing?Thanks

If I give my friend editor access through my professional Figma plan in specific project, will they also be able to use all the premium features included in my plan?

The issue is that when it scales the distance of the intro copy below changes as well. I'd like to keep the same distance from the header graphic and the intro copy below. thx
