When I start the prototype, only some of the elements of the design show up. The rest is blank. How do I fix this?

Trying to resolve conflicts in a branch before merging, the conflicts are not loading and after some time the screen turns blank with the error showing ‘Figma ran into a problem’. Unable to merge a branch to main file. Need support?

I am planning to buy a MacBook. But cannot decide which one to buy between MacBook pro M2 or MacBook air m3 (both are the very basic 8g ram 13-inch model). The pro M2 has an active cooling so it may take more load without lagging the performance. Which one to buy?

Looking under the hood at Figma’s “Simple design system”, there’s a “Responsive” collection, with variables for “Root font size” and “Scale”… These look like they could be implementing a REM-based font-size approach - if the “Scale” variable could be used in variable calculations, which to my knowledge, it still cannot yet… I gather that “#Scale03” could be used to change the font size to a different scale variable depending on the mode selected (Desktop/Mobile/Tablet) - but it isn’t leveraging that “Scale” on the other hand looks like it could be a multiplier, so that (Example: a 16px font size in desktop would be 20px (16*1.25) on mobile… but I’m not sure what this is actually doing here… I haven’t fully watched all of Config24 sessions yet, so I apologise if this is a dumb question covered in any talks. Anyone know what this does? Thanks

I have a big presentation tomorrow but the prototype keeps glitching. My colleague is sitting next to me and buttons aren’t clickable on her prototype link unless I open the Figma file from my own laptop, then it works on her screen. What is this?

Figma Desktop App on macOS: Shortcut for Zoom-Out does not work correctly Somehow the shortcut to change the mouse into a zoom-out tool doesn’t work as expected anymore. For years, this important shortcut (exactly like in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) always was: • Zoom+ or zooming in: Space+Command plus mouse click • Zoom- or zooming out: Space+Command+Option plus mouse click To be more precise, the current situation is as follows: If you press Space+Command+Option, the mouse pointer turns into the zoom icon just for a very short moment, but does not stay that way. This means that you cannot zoom out as usual using a combination of shortcut and click. It feels like a bug and I hope that this will be fixed soon. Anybody else experiencing this faulty behaviour?

In the component, I want to open and close a certain area in the menu on each click? When I create a condition for it, I can provide this operation, but how can I use the animate properties? Or is it a wrong method?

Hey all, I can not for the life of me work out how to stop items from showing in libraries. I published a v1 of a design system and after a period of time published a new library. There are similar components such as buttons. I no longer want the buttons from the DS1 to show in files, I’ve removed it from the file within the design file itself, but items still show in the libraries. I’ve even gone as far as deleting the file and it still shows in published libraries. Now I just have components showing that I can still take the instance from and if i click to view the main component I just get an error. Have no idea how to stop them from showing up and help would be awesome. Thanks in advance

In Figma I use the colour profile: sRGB But I’m not sure what the best colour profile to use for my Display (iMac Retina 5k 2019) Any help / advice would be much appreciated 🙂

Hi everyone, I’ve started using Figma’s slide deck for my presentations. When I enter present mode and interact with the prototype, I get stuck when trying to move to the next slide. Does anybody know the shortcut to move into the next slide? When I don’t use the prototype I can easily change by just clicking but it gets blocked as soon as I open the flow.

However, I need to pay for 1 person, but now 2 people have paid, so I would like to receive a refund for 1 person. I made an inquiry about this, but there was no response, so I asked the community. Can I cancel my subscription and receive a full refund to pay for one person again? Or can only one person receive a refund out of the amount paid?

Hi, I’ve been having a problem with my Figma file for the second day in a row. It’s super slow and has an awful lag when I do anything. It somehow fixed itself yesterday but it’s worse today and has yet to fix itself. It seems to get worse when I copy and paste a component. I’ve cleared the cache and restarted Figma but it hasn’t helped. Does anyone how to fix this?

Can anyone share the grid formation/layout used in the Figma web application itself? I’m curious about the specific grid system and layout structure that Figma uses for its own interface design.

I am facing the following issues: The project has a growing number of pages, which makes it very slow to keep them all on one page, so I have to use different pages. I cannot use “Navigate to” between different pages, so I must use “Open link,” which causes refreshing every time I click. A sub-menu component must be placed on each page; otherwise, “Open overlay” will not work. The sub-menu component frequently becomes disconnected from its parent component for unknown reasons, making the menu unclickable. Are there any more elegant solutions available?

Hi, I’m aware this is likely impossible (having done some extended searches that didn’t go through), but i’m trying my luck here anyway. I’d love to be able from a text node to access the content and the bounding box of each invidividual lines. By lines, i mean both lines created by a newline (enter) as well as lines created by wrapping (reaching the end of the text box) i don’t have the budget to do heavy manipulations (like writing multiple variations of the content and making measurements…) Thanks in advance for any informations.
