How do you send just one Prototype Frame/Page (home page) to a client to view in a browser? They do not want something that opens in Figma. This should be simple, but they are getting all of the pages.

Hello everyone, I am new to Figma and I am trying to remove mixed border radius but it does not show anything when I click on the border radius for the element. I have removed the locker from the element and so on but nothing ahppens. Is there anything I am not knowing how to do?

Currently the SVG export in Figma excludes any vector shapes that cannot be see due to a mask at the time of export. I understand why this was an intentional optimization and I don’t see a way to disable it, but because it is useful for a niche use of SVG graphics I’m working on I wanted to double check and see if anyone knew of a way to change this behavior or work around it. For example, Figma also excludes elements with a 0 width stroke or that are fully transparent, but that can be worked around by making a very small stroke or alpha (0.01). I can’t think of an equivalent solution for elements that are fully clipped by a mask.

Problem: If I create a red rectangle from the color library and create a component from it, Figma automatically fills the fill in white and sets it to invisible even though I had previously set it to red. I have been working with Figma for 3 years, 5 days a week and more than 8 hours a day, this functionality is completely new and illogical to me. I have watched older YouTube videos where a component is created and you can see that this stupid feature was not there. Does anyone have any idea why Figma introduced this? My fonts are not showing on Figma, I tried opening in icognito, restarting my laptop, force quitting, literally anything but the fonts are still not working. Is there any way around this? I am not being able to use Figma anymore because of this problem.

I have noticed that design mode is a paid feature of Figma slides. Is this a final decision? I really like using Figma and its amazing features to create stunning slides for my presentations. Taking design mode away feels so limiting. Also, is this just limited to slides, or is this change also coming to the normal Figma design mode?

Is it possible to use Figma.ui.resize(width: number, height: number) to change the size of the plugin window during runtime? I would like to offer 2 different sizes of the plugin, if the user wants it…

Hello! I have been working in Figma basics. I uploaded a ton of pictures in Figma to decide on my profile layout. Unfortunately, couple of minutes after, Figma crashed and all I see when I open my project is just orange background. I do not see any of the elements I already created. When I log in to my iPad, I can see everything. I thought that it is about pictures, so I deleted them, but on my computer nothing changed. I cannot open the project and see all my work, just orange background. Please help!

We have a component set with some variables. When using instances, we used to replaced the variables for new local variables. It worked fine, now it is not working properly. It tends to reuse the original one from the component. I’m willing to share the file with Figma support. This is very serious issue as or design system heavily uses variables on components.

Do you have noticed renewed colour in Figma logo? It is too sharp I guess.

I am using a wireless mouse and if I try to move my mouse, the screen starts shaking automatically even after I don’t use my mouse and after a couple of seconds it stops but creates difficulty while designing.

Hello everyone! I use the API endpoint “www.api.figma.com/v1/images” to pull images from Figma frames, the way I know what file and what node to pull, is by copying a link to the frame in Figma and then parsing the info, yesterday the link would look like this “www.figma.com/file/…”, today it looks like this “Free Design Tool for Websites, Product Design & More | Figma…”. Was there any change in the URL structure, or is there any other reason why this might happen?

I am the account administrator and today I created the token with read permission. The link is also correct, but it gives an error (Error when exporting: 403 - {“status”:403,“err”:“Invalid token”})

As an Admin when inviting people in my company to join Figma, I only see a simple invite box but it has no role options. After I invite them, I see they are “pending” but cannot pre-assign them a role. This means after I invite them, they have to send me a second request to upgrade them to contributor. Is there a way I can simply invite them as a contributor to begin with? Or change their role when they are pending? This would save a lot of back and forth and time for them and me.

Hi, Figma is new for me, i’m currently is using free version in Edge browser for my Free version of Figma for my learning i’m currently facing an issue, the cloud icon (i.e. The current document has unsaved changes) is shown when i uploaded an image into my document. i tried to leave the document open in the browser for few hours but the saving still hasn’t happened. if i close the tab in the browser then i can’t load the document again. there is only choice for me to remove the image from the document. Note: i can’t use desktop version because my organization not let me install anything into my computer (i.e. i don’t have admin permission). if i can’t upload any image then i can’t move on my learning for HiFi design. how i can resolve this issue ?Please search for existing topics before posting! Hello, I’m currently working on implementing the site layout grid in Figma. I have a question regarding layout grids for desktop sizes. Instead of setting the type to center, is it possible to set the type to stretch and apply an 80px margin? Additionally, what are the most commonly used frame sizes for desktop and mobile layouts?

I’ve been having an issue where every time I click on a text box, it changes the font slightly and makes it larger. My coworker was having this problem and we were able to uninstall the font from her computer. This fix isn’t working for me since I don’t have it downloaded anywhere on my machine.

I’m porting an existing design system to Figma, and I’m wondering, what are the best practices in 2024 for building components with dynamic children? For example, a dropdown menu where one instance has options A, B, C, and another instance has options D, E, F, G, etc. Or, a resuable modal component. Some UI Kits / design systems I’ve seen here require a component instance to be configured, then detached. Is this the standard approach?
