Is there a way to create a variable group in a variable collection using the API?

I was trying to search for a way to create a group in a variable collection using Figma’s API, but wasn’t able to find something.

I tried finding it: figma.variables | Plugin API

Change the variable name to something like this: group/variableName.

    Oh man, you are right. Not sure why I was trying to create a group manually. I’m mad!!!

      You’re not alone 🙂 There’s no documentation for this, and you have to create a group and fetch the names to understand.
