when I upgrade my level in the student pack. the documents that were shared with me get this error,

When creating a component with variants (checkbox frame) and putting a text label next to it, the text disappears after I drag it into the component in the layers section. Any idea why that is? I followed this video: Figma tutorial: Interactive components - YouTube Watch from min 2:00 to understand my issue. Thanks!

Hello everybody, I gotta say I am impressed with Figma, it is intuitive and easy to work. I am different occupation than web developer, I am just experimenting with page for my work. Simple page with about contacts and couple galleries with pictures. I manage to make everything as I planned but I have question about buttons. On youtube most of them are about design. But how to connect button with something, ? drag and drop same like prototyping slides/frames etc? I have 16 pages with menu bar that is same on every page. Now “About” button do I have to go on every page and assign where “About” button go or there is different approach. I made mistake on beginning and didn’t put Font, background, colors buttons on different asset page and then to bring in main but done all one one page. I’ve been reading up across the community board on stacking interactions, and it appears Figma did introduce the ability to stack multiple interactions on the same trigger. However, I am not able to stack two or more on Click. This is driving me nuts! I want to apply both close overlay and open a new overlay onto the click of a context menu item. “on Click” is disabled for me after I apply the first interaction. What am I doing wrong here?

Hi, I’m encountering a weird situation that when I used nested component and somehow the prototype links broke(disappeared) randomly so many times and I didn’t do anything. I made an example to demonstrate what I made in my project. I created a master component with two properties and make a link to two dropdown menus. And then I place my main component into my child component and give it a boolean and set to false by default. And then when I create an instance, it works at that moment. But when I close Figma or come back to check my design next day(Not change anything)… The prototype line(instance) just disappeared randomly!!! And it happened so many times…I don’t know what’s going wrong~ Anyone knows? Thanks in advance!

I’ve just realized that some of my files disappeared from Figma!!! I’ve read all the topics, but didn’t find any solution and i’ve checked several times different accounts. Seems Figma has this bug and too many people faced it before. I’ll be soooo grateful if someone can help me to turn it back.

Hey! Maybe I overlooked it but did the option to toggle the visibility of fill/border styles just disappear? Without it UI3 is pretty unusable for our Team that way. It just doesn’t make sense to detach them. Applied: Detached:

Hi Community, I have a question for those of you working with multi-level complex interfaces. I’m currently managing files with around 90 pages. We’re wrapping up v1 and starting on v2. My question is about handling the handover and versioning processes. It seems like Figma isn’t designed to meet large organizational needs, as the version history applies to the entire file rather than individual pages. This means that every time we hand over a feature and create a baseline in version history for development, it affects the whole file. We can’t consolidate all features into one page because navigating and locating specific features would be challenging. On the other hand, having each feature in its own file would complicate navigation and result in an overwhelming number of files to manage, especially since this is just one part of the company. Would you recommend using branches to create features and then merging everything? Does anyone have good experiences or best practices to share?

After adding Design System to file - Figma shows assets and components but doesn’t show local styles of colors and typography. All styles already published in Design System, but file that connected to this system don’t show local styles

Hi! I’m designing a divider for my website and I prepared a prototype with after delay animation. When I press play, the animation starts but a strange rectangle keep appearing in the screen and I checked the layers one by one but still didn’t understand why this is happening. Since I’m new in here, I can’t upload any attachment so I hope I explained correctly. Does anybody know why it’s happening?

Curious if anyone has hit this issue. I have an interactive component that has multiple On delay steps to simulate a typing animation. The instance of this component is hidden with a boolean variable by default. When I create a button element that switches the visibility boolean to true, the component displays, but the On delay does not trigger. Is this intended? Workarounds? Any ideas 🙂

Hi Team and Community, I’m curious to know if you find it confusing when searching for information about newer updates—like components—and come across videos from four years ago. It can be frustrating to sift through outdated content when you’re looking for the latest updates. I think this could be particularly confusing for new Figma users as well.

I created a collection and have Light and Dark modes within. Dark mode is first when looking at it from left to right, and all the auto defaults are in Dark mode. How can I switch this to Light mode? I don’t see any option for this.

No need to mention that it’s 90% like Spline. Many small things are in another place and reordered and it’s hard to remember the place for people like me who used Figma for 4-5 years. And everything is small I had to increase the scale because it was hard to see the texts and icons on my FHD 27 display.

Is there a way to swap the width and height values of an object? A 90-degree rotation works visually, but does not properly communicate the intention the components are being used for.

Hello, How can I unlink the team that has projects associated with the EDU plan? We don’t need it, and we want to purchase the PRO plan. Previously, I contacted support, and they informed me that to remove the EDU status, I need to change the owner to someone who doesn’t have an educational account. I have changed the owner, but the EDU status hasn’t disappeared from the team. Could you please let me know what needs to be done to switch from EDU to PRO?

Hello! I’m hoping someone can help me fix this issue I’m having. I’m prototyping a side menu for our web app - the main component works perfectly, however, the sub component does not work at all. Open variants of any of the menu items do not push the other content down, instead they overflow their “closed” state Main/Parent Component: Sub Component: When changing the variant of each menu item, the container/container size “stays the same” and does not push the content down like it is supposed to. What am I doing wrong? 😦

while selecting elements with multi select option, automatically different elements are getting selected. please, fix the bug. in the previous UI this problem is not there.

I was trying to renew my Figma License for a single user since last 10 days, but when I am trying to pay $15 through Indian credit card which I used previously to purchase the subscription, the amount is showing $0 before the final payment and thus the transaction is not working. Then I tried to buy FIGMA LICENSE for a single seat through a new email id, there I am facing the same problem, the amount is not showing $15 in the credit card transaction before payment. Its showing $0. Is there any one who can help me.

I was charged unexpectedly on 16th September of $280 for 50 seats. Initially I applied 1 seat of $15 on August. However, the Figma account upgraded me to 50 seats without any notice. I have never shared files in the new team to so many people. It should be a bug that it automatically brought related people in the history file on second month. Hence, I claim a refund on the matter. In addition, for the 1st time of subscription on August, I had to untick all 50 seats one by one (No batch deletion) so that I can apply a new team with 1 seat. Then the following months, it still automatically add up to 50 seats. How poorly designed is this flow. I think the Figma should no longer ignore the biling issue. Don’t bring this unpleasure experience to your user. I still remember when Figma first came to the market, you said you would always focus on experience and make free tools for designers. Now the billing bugs start to drift away from your initial visions. Please refund in this case and star
