How can I make domino tiles flip over after I created the tiles I needed so I can be able to shuffle them randomly
Figma allows me to insert instances of components from libraries that are not relevant to the project I’m working in. I do not understand why they show, and the libraries do not show in the libraries panel. How do I stop seeing components from unrelated libraries as I use SHIFT + i to search for components?
Although I’m being recognized as a teacher, whenever I try to update to the Professional Plan, it says I’m going to be charged. A coworker did not have this issue. We deleted my account and I tried again, doing it how they did it, but it didn’t fix it. Any ideas? I really want to be able to transfer all my jamboards over before October 1st!
I’m prototyping a series of screens in Figma, and I need help with enabling a “Next” button only when specific conditions are met. Each screen includes different combinations of checkboxes, radio buttons, and input fields. The requirements are: Checkboxes: Each checkbox is linked to its own Boolean variable, and the button should only become enabled when all necessary checkboxes are checked. Radio Buttons: In some screens, the user must select one of several radio buttons for the “Next” button to become enabled. Input Fields: On other screens, the user needs to fill in required input fields (like text fields) before enabling the button. I have individual screens where only one of these components is present, as well as more complex screens that combine all three (checkboxes, radio buttons, and input fields). I’m struggling to figure out the logic and variable interactions in Figma to ensure the “Next” button activates only when all relevant conditions are met and reverts to disabled
Just made an account, cannot find any option for old UI. I really do not like this floating menu on the bottom, and I know it wasn’t like so in older UI. I tried the help button only to see nothing helpful.
The browser and Windows version both failed to EXPOTR when using the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+E.
I would appreciate some guidance on figma.variables. setBoundVariableForPaint method. figma.com I would like to run a simple script to bind a variable to the existing style. This is what I tried // get a style ref let style = figma.getLocalPaintStyles()[0]; // get a var ref let variable = figma.variables.getVariableById("VariableID:1:53"); // bind? figma.variables.setBoundVariableForPaint(style.paints[0], 'color', variable); It returns a solid paint indeed, however, it has no effect on a given style. Confusing…
I have been working on a plugin and it was working perfectly fine. But now, when I try to run it the console shows this error: InternalError: unconsistent stack size: 2 4 (pc=151) I tried restarting thinking it might be something related to Figma’s internal behavior but didn’t help. What might be the reason for this error? Thanks!
I working alongside the plugin tutorial and I cannot get PostMessage to work. When I invoke it in ui.html, I get this in the console: VM248:17 Failed to execute 'postMessage' on 'DOMWindow': The target origin provided ('null') does not match the recipient window's origin ('https://www.figma.com'). I have searched far and wide and cannot find any other Figma users experiencing this. Any clues on what I should do?
We have a design system with a large library of components that are linked to design tokens. Is there a possibility within Figma to see in one overview which design token is linked to which element? Or are there perhaps plugins for this?
Hello, I’m stuck, I would like to navigate to a frame home using dropdown variant in component, I apply function click in my variant with navigate to home but when I test it doesn’t work, my question is it possible to prototype navigate function in variant of one component in Figma for header in my case or I need to find a simple solution?
I’m having an issue in Figma where new shapes created within a group end up being placed outside of that group. Hello, I am a designer and illustrator, and most of my work involves creating detailed illustrations. One of the tools I rely on heavily in Figma is “shapes.” However, this problem has become quite frustrating: when I try to create a new shape within a group (such as a circle, square, etc.), Figma places it outside of the selected group. As a result, I have to manually drag it back inside, and when I cut it to paste it into the group, it doesn’t maintain its original position. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Thank you so much in advance!
How can I return the file to my Projects? I am the owner of this file.
We are in Professional Team tier. My colleague registered and purchased 2 seats. After that he started learning the administration. He invited 3 more users for testing and we started understanding how viewer, viewer restricted and full seats work. These extra 3 users were active for some minutes and then they will be either deleted or set back to viewer resticted mode. If it stays this way till the end of the month, how many seats will we pay? 4? 1? 2?
The original dropdown does not work, nothing can be clicked there. You can click on the one in the top left corner… only with enter.
I know there’s a visible property that tells you if the node itself is visible or hidden, but one or more parents could be hidden while the actual node is visible, so visible would be true on the actual node. Is there an easy way to see if a node is truly visible, because all of its parents are visible? Would prefer not to traverse the node tree, as this seems inefficient. Visible property: visible | Plugin API
I am looking to share a file publicly so that an external client and their team members can jump in and edit the design without being included in my Figma team. They have their own Figma accounts and I don’t want to add them to my team, however the only way that seems to work is that they are added as a member with the ability to edit one file, even with “Anybody can edit” set in the sharing settings of the file. If they are not in the team then they are presented with a warning that they need to be upgraded, am I doing something wrong here?
In the Figma app, when we use the new feature of pan on right-click while a plugin is opened, it stops working until we switch tabs or right-click on the canvas. I don’t know if it is counted as a bug, but it should be fixed asap!
So I have designed in Figma whole site and it works, its simple with pictures gif and couple buttons, simple transitions. Can I upload that on web directly from Figma? Or do I have to send to something like Framer or webflow etc. When I send it to framer I have to establish again button connections links and every connection/interaction I already done in Figma… solution build again in Framer?
Has anyone else encountered this today? Check my screenshot (Font - Inter 18 SB) Can’t find any topic. Or am i just crazy and this issue was here before
If i set the color of an Arrow to red and the set this as the “default properties” in the main menu → Edit → Set Default Properties, then all new arrows draw will be red, which is great. However, if I close the session and re-open the figma, the default properties are lost and the default black arrow is drawn for all new arrows… Is this a bug, or am i missing something in order to maintain the default properties between sessions?
Hi. I have a design across multiple pages. Say, I want to copy group buttons made from multiple rectangles and text on top of those rectangles from Page1 to Page2, but sometimes only text get copied if lucky. For some reason group cannot be copied. I am 100% sure this was possible before, because that is how I done my design about half a year back. Now I would like to amend it, but doesn’t work. Thank you.
Should news articles be individual components in the component library or should they be grouped as a collection of articles in a single component? Here’s an example of what I have now:
I want to move layers / content further away In the old UI, when I moved the content to the sidebar, the canvas already started scrolling, but in the new UI, below the sidebar is the canvas, which means that I have to move the content to the edge of the screen before the canvas scrolls. This is a little more troublesome than before. My idea: Start scrolling the canvas when a cursor / drag point is detected to the sidebar, or retract the sidebar to the edge of the screen when a drag object is detected
Hello Figma community, I need your help 🙂 My workflow consist on: 1 page called “workspace” where I make my designs. 1 page called presentations, where I paste the last version of the design, use it for my design walkthroughs with stakeholders and this where the prototype link I share with stakeholders lives, so they can provide their feedback using comments. Currently I’m facing the following problem with the workflow: I take stakeholder feedback and apply it to the designs under “workspace”. Once I’m done, I delete the old version under “presentations” and paste the updated designs there. This causes that the prototype link I shared with stakeholder stop working. What I would like is to achieve is: have 2 spaces, one for my work, other to share with stakeholders so they can provide feedback. It might be that stakeholders aren’t done providing feedback, so I need a different place to start working (workspace) so I’m not blocked. I want to provide just once prototype link
