I have an embedded prototype on my web-site. It contains a button that redirects to a specific URL. However, when the button is clicked it redirects to https://www.figma.com/exit?url=<my url> with a confirmation dialog, instead of redirecting directly. Is there a way to get rid of this intermediate screen? My redirect URL even on the same domain as a web-site where prototype is embedded.

Hello, I am setting up some new variables for my colour styles. I use the naming conventions 100-900 but you can see in the attached screenshots the formatting is not visually correct. Why is the second 0 so far away from the first? Alf

I am having an issue with my prototype not showing the correct frame size (1080x1920). It’s showing it magnified really large in the device type (iPhone 14 Pro). I have tried other device types and it doesn’t work in any of them. This seems like a bug. Trying to figure out what I am doing wrong here. I have components with string properties, and I’ve found that I cannot type “=” into them, as that key opens up the variables menu: I can get around this obviously by pasting in my desired text or editing the text object directly, but it seems like an accelerator that got added with an oversight to the expected use of that key. I attempted to use modifiers to allow me to type it (Ctrl, Alt, etc.), but they did not work.

Hello, I recently encountered this behavior when I clicked on the effect Styles and opened the small panel. I was also able to open the colors panel, and they both got overlayed on top of each other. Seems to be a bug?

I have been designing a Figma file since early November. For two weeks now I have been experiencing a very frustrating bug on that file. Each time I prototype something new, it sets all previous prototypes in the file to Smart Animate, Ease Out, and a Duration of 300ms. 300ms!!!. It makes the entire prototype lag. I have restored previous versions multiple times and duplicated the file. It’s still the same.

I have this link component that has a few variables: a boolean to show or hide a lead arrow a boolean to hide or show an underline A mobile variant w 2 values: true and false (so I can toggle) a state variant 2 values: default and hover I can see all the variables when I click on the outline of the components (that dotted line frame) but when I click on the individual components the booleans don’t show up. Id like to toggle the underline so that its not on for default and on for hover state. Here are some pics: What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Hi, this one is driving me crazy and I can’t find anything about it so this has to be me doing something wrong. Why can’t I horizontally scroll the Layer list on my Figma? Eventually I get to several levels deep nested layers and I need to manually increase the width of the sidebar to get to them, when I just wanted some horizontal scrolling or even that Figma automatically scrolls horizontally to the layer name. What am I doing wrong? I can’t see any option or setting for this. Thanks.

Is this expected? I’m having performance issues in other files that use the library “Design System” and I’m wondering if this may be why. I’m guessing this may have happened when I created local components in other files that referenced components from the “design system” and then cut and past those components into the design system…

I was wondering whats going on with this strange off set. The text has 2,5 pixels space, but the annoying thing is when the text size is smaller the off-set isn’t the same. - in this example the other off-set is 1,5 pixels. Why isn’t the text starting on zero pixels?? Is the maker of the font messing with us (jk xD)? As you can imagine this makes proper alignment near impossible. Anyone know how to fix this? The font is Segoe.

When I create this auto-layout, the image comes in front of the text. If I push it to the back, it also moves to the left of the text. Hello, I tried to contact Support directly for assistance here, but every time I do an error appears. I’m leaving the Team and wish to transfer ownership to another Admin/user of the Team. I’ve tried following the instructions on this page: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039481134-Transfer-ownership-of-a-team When I open the Team in Figma, I only see “People” instead of “Members” and when I select the user’s profile, I’m only able to revoke or add their admin permissions, not transfer the ownership permissions to their account. Please note that I am the current owner of this team. Can the documentation be updated and the feature be added correctly? Kind Regards, Gonzalo

I’ve received a link to a Figma file from another team. The problem is that the link came in a chat related to a certain meeting that occurred last week, so as time goes on it’s only going to get harder and harder to find that link. I want to somehow bookmark this file so I can return to it quickly. Hitting a few roadblocks… I can only view this file in two ways: Inside the actual file, and from the search results page. I don’t know which project this file lives in and I don’t know how to find that out. There doesn’t appear to be such a thing as “favorites” anymore. I can click the “add to favorites” options from either of these views, but nothing happens. I have no favorites section in my sidebar and I can’t figure out how to get one. There’s no way to “star” these files from either of these views, which is usually how I bookmark files. Adding to favorites does not add it to my “starred” files section. I cannot drag the file from the search results to my “starred” files section. A

Hi! So I have an icon-button that can optionally show a tooltip on hover. At the moment, I have the tooltip component nested inside of the button component, to make prototyping easier. There are two obvious problems with this: The tooltip to one position (if I need it to display above instead of below, I have to suppress the tooltip that was included with the button, and then put an extra tooltip on my screen). And of course I have a lot of hidden layers in my file. I couldn’t find much info on whether it’s actually bad practice to include the tooltip inside the trigger component or not. The alternative would be to just keep the button and the tooltip separate, and manually place them on the screen together to spec it to dev. But this of course makes prototyping a real pain when you have a lot of buttons on the screen and each one of them should have a tooltip on hover. What is everyone else doing?

I selected the option to publish our library only to our team (Amsterdam Design System Team), expecting only the files in our team would be affected by this publish. But all the other teams in our organisation (Gemeente Amsterdam) got the updates as well… I’m confused. Did I misunderstand this option to publish to Team/Organisation?

Slides remix colour feature is adding the colours white and black to my document’s colours. If i start a new document with a background and a shape, remix can shuffle endlessly between the correct colours. If i add text and hit remix it will eventually (usually on click 3 or 4) add black or white. This is more pronounced on other templates, where it will add in all kinds of crazy colours that do not appear in the colour library. This is very annoying!

Hi, the design team at my company is on an organization plan and we need to extend access to a specific file to some people (developers and designers) with varying levels of access (some view only, some edit, some dev mode). I have already used the Share button to give view and edit access…my questions are: If these folks already have their own Figma Design subscription, will we need to also pay for them to have editor seats in our organization? If these folks already have their own Dev Mode subscription, will we need to also pay for their dev mode seats in our organization? I assume the answer to both of those is “no”, otherwise Figma would/could be charging two different people for the same access which would seem highly dubious and generally uncharacteristic of how I view Figma. But am I correct?

I have business cards with the following sizes 336.42 pixels | 8,9 cm 223.02 pixels | 5,9 cm After the exporting it to *pdf the size of the pdf is 11,87 × 7,87 cm How can I fix it?

I have a blank frame. If I try to draw rectangle it is immediately offset to a new position when I start drawing. How can I turn off this feature? Note: This problem is for online only. It does not occur on the PC (desktop) version. In the photo, when I start to draw rectangle 2 my cursor is at the lower left-hand corner of rectangle 1. Then it is immediately offset.
