why Figma’s Ai suddenly gone? it has been handy for several purposes when designing

What I really want is a track changes feature for editing Figma Slides — but that doesn’t exist, so I’m looking for a workaround. The impetus for this question is that I have to edit a deck with slides contributed by multiple people — and I need them to be able to see specific changes where I edited the text or position of their slides in the deck. I’m totally spitballing some ideas here, but they are pretty convoluted — so if you know a better tactic to achieve tracking changes while editing, please share! From what I’ve been able to piece together, it seems like branching (or possibly compare changes in dev mode?) could be a solution — however, it appears that branching (and compare changes in dev mode) are only available for design files, not slide files — so I’m wondering: Is there a way to convert a slide file into a design file so that I can create a branch (or compare changes in dev mode)? AND, when I finish editing, is there a way to convert the design back into a slide file ag

Hey guys, so I’m making an expandable table for game stats for my platform. Each of these stats are broken into 2 segments: total score + each player’s stats. The total score comes with the category label for the stat packed into the initial component and in a separate component for each player’s stats. I’m trying to have the width of the numbers in the player stats = to the width of the stat category name as each stat can have a different amount of characters. I don’t want to have a set width on the category titles as it would be awkward looking, but I want to have consistent uniform look vertically for each stat’s column. Hello everyone, I’m trying to discern what the underlying issue is here. This has only been really presenting itself as a problem in the past few days, but for some reason almost any Figma project I have open winds up consuming essentially all of my system memory. I’ve noticed that this happens regardless of how many project files I have open. While I’m not experiencing any crashing of the application, it does bring my work laptop to a grinding halt and creates an essentially unusable experience. Is there any reason Figma is utilizing so much memory? Are our working files just too large? For reference, I’m using the desktop app on macOS 10.15.7 and as far as I am aware this is the latest version available. I’m really scratching my head over this one as to why it’s popped up as an issue so suddenly. Granted this Macbook Pro is just a base configuration, so it may just be a performance limitation, but I wouldn’t expect Figma to be stressing the machine out worse than Adobe’s Creative

Please help me. I’m presenting a portfolio tomorrow and have been practising it on the present mode. All slides are in wireframes, and some of them are animated. When I include the animated slides, the present mode will ONLY play the animated slides. So in order to play my presentation I have to take them out. Does anyone know how to fix this? I’m sure I’ve presented slides with animations before and it’s been fine.

Trying to create a workaround to resolve having to create many local variables & components for a radio button. The itention is that each colour option can be clicked which changes the variable, when a new variable is set, the previous option de-selects. However I cannot get the ‘selection’ to reset to false when a new variable is set So the stack of conditions is as below: Any thoughts on where this might be failing?

I currently upgarded my team to paid FigJam. Now If I have a Figma file in the same team I have to move it to private space to share. The whole spaces is confusing and makes it difficult to use. I have had a much more negative experience with Figma since it was introduced.

I imported a file from Sketch and the missing font dialog (and sidebar alert) doesn’t appear. The fonts are transparent and I have to select them manually to replace them (for the installed font which is the same that I used on Sketch 🫠). When I select it shows the yellow marker that the font is missing but only in the font selection thing, but not for the whole document.

Question: is there any way to get a component to automatically use a different colour scheme from the parent frame? Somewhat of a complicated set-up, so bear with me: Our design system has colour variables for light and dark modes. A given component has two separate uses: standard and in conjunction with another specific component. When used as standard, it follows the parent page’s colour scheme; but when used with the other component, its colour scheme is inverted relative to the page. In order to simplify the component configuration/management, I’m trying to keep it to one component for all cases. The ideal would be a variant that’s based on a toggle property for context. For the standard use, I build it naturally and it responds to the parent colour mode. I have been facing this issue for the past two weeks. I am working on a large file for one of my projects, and I am unable to collapse frames in the file. Some frames are collapsible, while others are not; they do not respond to any actions when clicked.

Hi all, My muscle memory tells me Ctrl + Shift + G was the shortcut for Ungroup (as Group is Ctrl + G), but it seems it as changed now to Ctrl + Backspace? If it’s intentional, I don’t get why it has changed. I was able to do this action with only my left hand prior to this change. The backspace is so far now that I need two hands now to ungroup 😦

When resizing images you can lock/unlock aspect ratio and type in the exact measurements you want. But when using the image crop tool you can only drag and it uses fractions of pixels too so some things in my slide are a little off. I wish you could either toggle (fractions vs whole numbers) or both drag and also type in the width and heigh tool to crop to an exact measurement you want.

Hi there, I have created a prototype with conditional drop downs that activate a ‘next screen’ button. When I click the ‘next screen button’, arrive on the next screen, and then click the ‘previous screen’ button, and return to the previous screen, none of my component states have reset. I have selected the ‘reset component state’ checkbox for the ‘previous screen’ button interaction already but it doesn’t make any difference. I’ve checked it for a lot of interactions, but no change. Am I getting this horribly wrong?? Any help greatly appreciated!

this button component I have scaled it down to mobile version. Now i cant edit its text size to a roundoff value . Why cant i make changes without detecting the component. Or how to down scale a component that all the property of the component should be in fix integer not decimal.

Is it possible to Export youtube elements with FIGMA to html with framer ? When I tried exporting it, they don’t show up on framer. would love to avoid doing it manually in Framer.
