Figma on my sub-machine ( MacBook, Intel OS 14.4 ) was still ver 116.16.13, and it worked properly
Thank you but I assume it does not help for the desktop app…
Your assumption is incorrect
Okay, thank you for that. is it incorrect as well?
Figma Learn - Help Center
So did you try installing it or not?
It says “not required” but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. It might help if the font installer that comes with the desktop app by default malfunctions.
Yes I tried but did not work.
Same problem. Every solution from this thread tested. Fonts are installed via FontBook and show up inside Adobe Apps but neither in Figma Desktop (Macos) nor on Figma browser.
Same issus here. I reinstalled everything and it keeps on happening. Both on Window and Mac
Hey All, sorry to hear you’re having trouble accessing your local fonts!
Since the fonts you’re trying to access are already installed on your computer, you’ll want to follow the instructions to Access local fonts on your computer.
If you’ve followed these instructions and are seeing the notification that Local Fonts are enabled in your Figma account settings, can you try going to Font Book and click the fonts that you would like to install then right-click to show the menu below?
From the menu, click “Validate Font” to see if this resolves. You can see more details in Apple’s Font Book User Guide below:
Apple Support
I “solved” by disabling the fonts, then opening Figma, then enabling the fonts again (FontBook) a few times and it finally worked… for no understandable reason. It’s not the first time it happens for me
I have exactly the same issue on a Windows app this very moment
