I’ve been running into the same issue as this below:
On Mac( Apple Silicon OS 14.4 ) w/ Figma 116.17.11
I tried every solution that mentioned in the topic above.
All other apps like Adobe recognize the fonts the same as before.
also I have not changed anything like machine settings or so. One thing that changed recently is just the Figma update.
It’s been blocking my work and making me insane!
does anyone have a solution?
It says “not required” but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. It might help if the font installer that comes with the desktop app by default malfunctions.
Same problem. Every solution from this thread tested. Fonts are installed via FontBook and show up inside Adobe Apps but neither in Figma Desktop (Macos) nor on Figma browser.
Hey All, sorry to hear you’re having trouble accessing your local fonts!
Since the fonts you’re trying to access are already installed on your computer, you’ll want to follow the instructions to Access local fonts on your computer.
If you’ve followed these instructions and are seeing the notification that Local Fonts are enabled in your Figma account settings, can you try going to Font Book and click the fonts that you would like to install then right-click to show the menu below?
From the menu, click “Validate Font” to see if this resolves. You can see more details in Apple’s Font Book User Guide below:
I “solved” by disabling the fonts, then opening Figma, then enabling the fonts again (FontBook) a few times and it finally worked… for no understandable reason. It’s not the first time it happens for me
I have the same problem. I don't have access to my Mac at the moment and I have to edit a client project using a Linux laptop. I can't access local fonts and this client's project uses a fancy and expensive licensed font.
My first thought was: Oh, thank goodness it's a browser app. Then: Oh no!
What's the point of being a browser app if this basic feature doesn't work?
By the way, installing/uninstalling or login/logout OS workarounds doesn’t worked at all.
