Hello everyone! I have a problem with Figma Web where I can’t edit because there are missing fonts. I have tried looking for solutions and reading several topics in the community, but I haven’t been successful. My main issue is that my MacOS is stuck at 10.15 (Catalina) and cannot be updated anymore, and I do not have any other devices that I can use at the moment. Meanwhile, the Figma Desktop app is no longer accessible because it requires at least OS 11.0, and the Figma Font Agent also cannot be installed due to the outdated OS. So, is there a solution for those of us still using an old OS? Is there a Figma Font Agent that we can install for older OS versions? Or are there other solutions, such as installing an older version of Figma Desktop that is still accessible? Please help, as I currently cannot update my OS (the updates have stopped at 10.15) and I am unable to purchase a new device with a different OS.

The color displaying on screen (#4ba2af) is different from the color I select on the properties panel (#15A5B1). Then, after exporting in PNG, the color changes again (#4ca0ae). This happens in sRGB as my color profile, on Windows. I also tried switching to Display P3 but the issue persists. I checked this with a color picker tool and you can see it in the screenshots attached. Any solutions to this issue?

Does anyone know if a Figma plugin exists to manage multi level token systems so that you can swap in new color palettes underneath a semantic token set? I’d like to be able to search within a collection and swap all tokens that are assigned to a token with some keyword text like red or blue with another set of tokens with a different key word like green or yellow. The colors could be swapped by matching another sub string like 100, 200, 300 etc. or how ever they are organized. The goal would be to have a color system expressed with semantic tokens that are easy to reassign in bulk. Like Themer but for tokens. Haven’t found this…

Hi ! I searched for an answers about that but didn’t find anyone talking about. In my workflow I often use Color styles and Effect styles to make it easier when I want to apply the same pattern and effect of an object. I was wondering if there is a way to have the same feature, but to save both of them in the same time. I know it’s not a feature so important to have but maybe if there is a way please tell me it would help ! Thanks !

Hi, I know someone who copied a professional file into their personnal project for portfolio purposes, despite NDA. All the instances are still related to the design system file of the organisation. Can the organisation know that the file has been duplicated, or that the components are used outside of the organization, and which account are using them ? For the duplicate, other posts says that it’s not possible to track copies, but my questions is specific to the case with instances still attached to a main file (that can be tracked with design system analytics features for example)

Good afternoon! One of our students cannot pass the verification to use the Education plan. The system does not allow you to select a date (it`s saying Please select a month/a year). She tried to set the date +2 years and +1.5 years, but nothing works. Could you tell me what date to choose?

My company’s workspace owner is currently an account created with my company’s old domain name (let’s say old.com). But my company is going through a rebranding and thus we’re changing both our name and domain (to, let’s say, new.com) and phasing out old.com. How do I go about updating the account’s e-mail to one under the new domain? Because if I simply try updating it from the account settings I get this really scary warning message below. I’ve been trying to contact support about this for weeks, but haven’t got a single reply so far.

After the new update we lost the ability to create gradients out of colors from a library. The only option available for gradients is the document colors picker: Am I missing something?

Hi folks. I was testing out the new Slides product yesterday. When I returned to the file this morning my slide deck says it is in View Only and I can’t edit its permissions or any of its content any longer. I’ve tried exiting the file and reloading, and I’ve also tried logging out and back in. Any other ideas?

Two of Figma draft files have disappeared, they are not in the trash, I can’t find them anywhere. Please can someone help?

Is there a way to have more custom elliptical corner radius on elements in Figma? Right now, I only see the ability to change the size of a perfectly round corner - but CSS offers the ability to set the horizontal and vertical (x,y) separately. example: .object { border-radius: 5px / 25px; } If not, then I recommend this small improvement. I’ve needed it this week.

FigJam Share an idea # When I make a square it very easily becomes a rectangle. I would like FigJam to use its standard method to indicate squareness, i.e. that the length of one side is equal to that of an adjacent side. This seems normal in other packages.

Hi guys, I am currently working on my first-ever case study. For this, I need SVG or image files of a map of New York City. Can anybody suggest a plugin or resource where I can generate or download a map of New York, similar to Google Maps or Apple Maps (Apple Maps is preferred, though)? I really need it. Or is there any other way? Please let me know. Thank you! It would be a big help and really appreciated.

Component text changes to default text on hover when it is nested. But the component separately works well. Anyone has a way out or this is an issue everyone is facing? Tried the other hacks in the community, checked layer names all of them are fine. Is it me or is the interface of Figma broken? In Prototype mode, when I have a button and want to add interactions this happens: I add a mouse enter event and set it to change to variant ‘hover’ I add a mouse leave event and set it to change to variant ‘normal’ Now when I check the settings, these change to actions are linked. Whatever I select last, is the setting for both of these. If I change the mouse enter to change to ‘hover’, the mouse leave is also set to ‘hover’ When I change mouse leave to ‘normal’, so does mouse enter. This is not the case for the mouse down and mouse up events. They remember their own setting correctly.

Hi, I’m writing a plugin that creates a group of nodes. But due to the number of nodes to create (around 100 000) and in order to avoid OutOfMemory errors, I need to do it in batch of 1000. I currently create a group this way: var myGroupNode = figma.group(myInstanceNodes, figma.currentPage) myGroupNode.name = "Plugin created group " myGroupNode.locked = true But I can’t find a way to add new nodes inside the group after it’s creation, so I end up with 100 groups of 1000 nodes instead of a single group of 100 000 nodes. How can I achive this ?

Just wanted to share a fix to an issue I’ve been struggling with and couldn’t find the solution to on this forum. Issue: I have a 48px tall pill shaped button. I’ve set the corner radius to a high number like 9999. When hovering, the button gets a label so the button width naturally increases – but during the transition of eg. 300ms using Smart Animate, the button edges becomes pixelated. Solution: Simply set the the corner radius to 24. Hope it works for you too. Cheers.

Hello, I recently started a new Figma design with two new fonts, “Cinzel” and “Lemon Milk.” I downloaded both fonts, restarted Figma, and began designing the typography scale. At first, I was able to use both fonts with no problem, but then the next time I loaded Figma, the “Lemon Milk” font was “missing.” I could not replace the font, nor could I search for the font again in the Typography search dialog box. I’ve tried to restart Figma, clear the cache, reinstall the fonts, and restart my device. Nothing seems to be working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m getting a warning message appear on all of my components with interactions. I’m able to re-produce it by creating a basic text component with 2 variants and a hover state change. Can someone share any insight into why this is happening? Screenshot and message below. “The interaction will not be triggered as interactions on instances are triggered before inherited internal interactions”

Hi, when I use certain font (Helvetica Neue LT Std in my example) the text is not vertically centered and I can’t find any way of adjusting the ascender/descender values (like mentioned in this article: Fix Vertical Position Issue of Custom iOS Fonts | TO THE NEW Blog). How can I fix this in Figma? There are ways I can hack it, for instance changing the height of the text box and the text alignment but then I will sacrifice how other features work, e.g. Auto Layout. Thanks

👋 Figma has been a blessing in designing UIs for our Game made in Unity. We’re just having issues with exported images being rendered desaturated / washed out inside of the engine. Especially when they contain transparencies. Here’s what it looks like: Without going into much detail, the only possible fix I found in Unity is switchting to Gamma Color Space instead of the default Linear Color Space. For various reason, that’s not an option for our game. I tried exporting with Display P3 color space but didn’t notice any changes. Opening the file in Photoshop for example renders the image correctly. Do you know any settings I could try in Figma? Or maybe a plugin that can export the file correctly? Thanks!
