Hi there, I tried to make a button bar interaction but i don’t know how to prototype it- I’m a bit stuck, what do I do next?  Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

I embedded my first prototype in Figma Slides. It added the file easily enough. But I have 3 different flows in the prototype. I’m trying to queue up flow 2 or 3 but when I go to present it always shows the first flow. There’s a dropdown under Interaction in the right toolbar to choose any of the flows in the Slides interface. But it always presents the first flow no matter which flow I choose in that dropdown.

I noticed the Framework event went over using gradients being accessible as a variable, but I’m wondering if I missed a detail on when that would available? I’ve refreshed my Figma desktop app and checked for updates and I haven’t seen anything that allows me to attach a gradient to a variable. Anyone have any guidance? PS: I am only interested in the native solution, not 3P plugins.

Dear Figma Community, I am facing a major issue with syncing components in a Figma file, and I’m hoping someone here can help me out. I have a file that is not syncing properly when I make updates to the component library. Specifically, when I publish changes, the review changes prompt appears, but when I click “Update,” not all instances of the component are updated. This is happening for multiple components. After some investigation, I noticed that in the libraries for the current file area, the component library I’m using keeps getting unchecked. This is a significant problem because both the library and the file I’m working on are quite massive and complex, so creating new files is not really an option. I have tried everything I can think of to fix this issue, but nothing seems to be working. If anyone has experienced a similar problem or has any suggestions for how to fix it, please share your insights. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I want to know if there are more detailed animation properties documented for Figma animation styles (i.e bezier curve specs). I was able to get some details on the “dissolve” animation style in Figma using dev mode (see below). Any additional info akin to the dev specs found on web dev common css animations would be great. Hi guys, I’m trying to export my product design portfolio as a PDF file. My entire portfolio is 75 slides and has a 229 images. Whenever I try to export my portfolio as a PDF Figma crashes. I have tried using different devices but none of them managed to export it. Does anyone have a solution?

I’ve used many programs/apps and I find that Figma’s PDF exports are always so large—even after using plugins to compress them. Example: Two page PDF document with only text, simple svgs icons, and two colours. No raster images, gradients, or effects. Super basic document. Figma export 9.5MB TinyImage compression 2.2MB Compressify.io compression 2.2MB I would expect this PDF to be no larger than 1MB in the first place. What is going on here? The only possible factor I can imagine is the maybe the canvas size (1130x1600px), but I doubt it because everything in the PDF export are text/vectors. Any help?

Hi! I used a professional plan with monthly payments, but now I have decided to pay for a year in advance. In the settings I wanted to choose "add an annual plan", but suddenly I couldn't find it. Please help! What could the problem be? 

I’m trying to export a single page in Figma into a PDF. Unfortunately it reaches file sizes between 320 MB and 370 MB depending on the export setting, making it useless as PDF readers struggle to even load it. Are there any common pitfalls to avoid? I don’t know any way to diagnose the issue so I’d maybe know which elements to remove.

I wonder what is considered as a UI framework and what is not. Is Figma considered as a UI framework used to design a system’s user interface?Thank you.

Hi everyone, I accidentally added an extra editor seat to my Figma team and removed it right after. However, I noticed that Figma is still set to charge me for it in the next billing cycle. I only used the seat once for a minor text edit before realizing my mistake.I contacted Figma Support three days ago, but I haven’t received any response yet. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue before? Is there another way to reach them faster? I’d really appreciate any advice!Thanks in advance! 🙏

I plan to invite them as editor them to specific files only and not to the team. Will Figma still count them as team seats and charge me? This is assuming I have a pro plan setup and I am currently the only member in the team.

Hi, I am a beginner in figma.  My text looks very transparent although I have Fill and Stroke on 100 %. How can I change it, that my text “Über mich” is less transparent?I have tried and searched but I cannot figure it out. Can anyone help me please, what do I have to change?Best regards, Oli

I have just upgraded to Professional because I want to enter dev mode to edit someone else’s files.When I try to do that, I get a message saying, “Upgrade to work in dev mode”.I have upgraded. This works on my own files, so why not on this?If the response is that the owner of the file also needs a Professional plan(I don’t really know how the ownership thing works in Figma), then I am going to be quite upset, since that is clearly a scam. There is no reason other than to take more money from people for organising the system in that way.So hopefully that is not the reason – what am I missing?I have Professional plan, I should be able to open any file I like in dev mode?

Hello! I am evaluating the use of Figma or other design tools for our startup, I cannot access AI Tools in Figma, how do I get access to them for the purpose of evaluation?I have seen the responses that you are rolling out the features & just wait, but We need to choose a design tool rather soon & many are asking for AI Features, Should we just choose another alternative to Figma which has AI for now? 

I’ve noticed that SVG export sizes have gone from around 20KB up to 800KB. Whatever changes have been put through in the last month is effecting it’s usability for the web exports. Our site has a banner limit of 100KB and SVG has been an invaluable resource in meeting these restrictions. However, within the last month when I exported suddenly I am seeing consistently large file sizes of close to 1MB (800KB) for an image comprised of a single background colour and text. This needs urgent attention as it basically makes Figma useless for any vector artwork.

Hi,I am trying to swap an object in my component instance (pizza icon) with another object (noodle icon). I tried using Shift + I (Swap Instance) but for some reason it doesn’t work. Could anyone know how to work around this? I couldn’t drag the noodle icon into the component?I tried putting it in front of the component but it stayed behind? 

I found the following thread: Prototyping "Navigation + Scroll" | Figma Forum but it’s pretty old so perhaps it was posted before the interaction layering came out.That said I just tried layering a “Scroll To” interaction after a Navigate interaction, and it’s not working.Note the Y-Offset, which is how I’m targeting where to scroll to. I tried it with and without the two State management checkboxes checked, to no avail. Has anyone gotten this to work? The desired behavior would be to mimic navigating to an html anchor in a web page (you don’t just load the page but scroll to where the anchor is). This is a pretty basic web interaction so I’m thinking this should be possible in Figma, especially with the interaction layering functionality. 

Hi all, Newish to Figma and trying to find the best way to create a component or variables for what’s essentially a multi pick-list for users. Use Case, “I want to reserve an office space from 4:00pm - 6:00pm” and a second office from 11am-12pm” For Figma prototype, when I click on one of these boxes I want it to stay in the turquoise state. Would I just make all of these buttons? Here is the design: Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you!

My images are scaling smaller when dragged into figma - WHY? Top image is a screen grab of the website Middle image is the file dragged into Figma (viewing at 100%) Bottom Image is the Website Look at the font sizes in these jpgs - Its impossible to map 1to1 when this is happening - HELP!

Hello. I am somewhat new to Figma but would love to incorporate this animation into my prototype.I need an object (a block of text) to become smaller only when the user pushes and holds another button on the interface.So to begin, the screen is static with some text and a button, then the user presses the button and the object (text) begins to shrink. Then, when the user releases the button another screen is triggered. Is this possible? If so, I haven’t been able to figure it out. I apologize if this is easy and a waste of everyone’s time. It’s not like the usual animations people create so I’ve had a hard time figuring it out.

How do you set a thumbnail for the at the Project Level? Not at the file level but the Project  

I need to recreate this effect to show it to a client, the effect goes like this: I click the "Confirm" button; The current content of the page summaries in a card; It stays on the screen for a little bit meanwhile the new content is shown; The old content goes up and the new content take place in the page (note: scrolling up reveal all the old content of the flow) Is there a way to do it?I uploaded the video here 

Hi all, i have been working on components in a styleguide and have no to restore a specific component. As i understand, if i select a status in the version history where the component was good, the whole styleguide would then be reset and all changes since then would disappear. Is it possible to reset only this on specific component or does anyone know a workaround?
