Does Figma have any training partners they recommend?

Hi Guys, i was create the “back” interaction. I set up as “tap” + “back” on an arrow. However, when i present, it doesnt go back to the previous screen. It seems like there is no interaction exist at the arrow. May i know if the above set up is correct? Do i need to do extra links or set up in order for the arrow to work as “back” ? Thank you!

Few of my draft files disappeared suddenly and when I tried to re-open recently closed tabs; its showing “not found (404)” The files where created by me and were accessible only to me. some of these files are still Untitled. They were my last 5 months hardwork; kindly help me out ​@Support_Squad ​@Figma_Support ​@Celine_D  

I’m very new to advanced prototyping and struggling with variables. I would like the Save button in a drawer to navigate to a different page based on a checkbox being checked or not. The checkbox is enabled based on a required field.This is the flow I’m looking to accomplish:If the Name field has been entered, a checkbox labeled Add another is enabled and the user clicks the checkbox, clicks Save, then the drawer updates with a new entry to be filled out. If the Name field has been entered, the checkbox is enabled and the user does not click the checkbox, clicks Save, then the drawer closes. ​​​​​​​If the Name field has been not been entered and the checkbox is disabled, then the user cannot click Save.Any help would be great. As part of our organisation roadmap, we need our organisation data to be backed up in our inhouse server at a regular interval. We are working to take the backup of Figma files along with respective projects. We have explored the Figma API documentation (https://www.figma.com/developers/api#get-files-endpoint), where we need to manually add the file key in the api (GET/v1/files/:key), which is not ideal solution and even after adding the key, we are getting response in json format, not the file. Could you please suggest a way how we can take incremental backup of Figma files along with respective projects? Is there any option available to Export/Download all of our Figma files?

Hello. I'm wondering how I can easily change the design system (colors and fonts) on a component that I copy from another figma project.For example: I have a figma document where I have all the components saved. Then I transfer this same component to another project. How can I now easily change the original design system of the component with the design system of the project to which I copied the component.I use local variables and not styles.What do I need to do to be able to use the design system of the current project on the component. The structure of the design systems is the same.

I have old components showing up in an updated and published library. These components have already been removed from the library. There are no instances of the component in the library. See the attached photo. The icons with the white background are old/removed. If I click on the icon with the white background and ‘go to main component’ it just brings me to the library but there’s no component in the library…

Hello community, I’ve just creted my first Figma design and I get an unexpected behavior on a component. I’ve created a card component to showcase company services. The card layout is the following: The “Scopri di più” button is an istance of another component and it’s set to revert its colors when hovered. Problem is: when hovering on the “Scopri di più” button, all istances of the button within the same component and its istances are reverting to the hover state. This is not happening for the instances of the same button OUTSIDE the card components. All interactions seems to be correctly set, so I can’t really understand how to solve. I’m pretty sure this topic was discussed a million times before, but every answer I came across so far kind if “dodged” the real issue… or at least not giving me what I need :) So, first of all, I’m new to Figma.To clarify my level of understanding:I understand what a master component is. I also understand what a component instance is. I know how to set and use component properties. I also know how to use place holders that you can set to “instance swap”, so you can replace these bits when you use an instance of a master component. I also understand nested components. With the above out of the way, let me explain my issue. I’ve searched for information on this and it doesn’t seem to be very clear. We are an enterprise organization with several teams, but occasionally we work with third party contractors from other large orgs. Those contractors often have their own, paid, figma accounts and we invite them to work in our org. The problem I am having trouble understanding is why Figma seemingly wants that account to be paid on both orgs - I am not able to invite the paid account from another organization and have it suffice for editing in our org - it treats them like they need to pay on our org as well. Is this intended?

Hi! 🙂 I’m having the issue with a white line appearing around my SVG export, even though I have no sub pixels on any of the sizes (width/height, corner radius, box shadow, stroke…none) and all parts of my design is placed on the pixel grid, so no sub pixels there either. The issue only occurs on SVG export, not PNG. What could be the problem?? Thanks! Regards / M

While using figma for free we were able to collaborate with multiple people. Once We decided to buy some roles we lost access and others can only view rather than help. Is this normal? 

Hi guys,I’m working on making a design system right now, but I have some issues that I can’t figure out .I currently manage the brand through mode (green area in the pic), but there is a request that they want to limit user permission to see just the brand that they’re involved with, and they also don't want the designer to edit the main component.So I would like to ask Is it possible to just attach the brand file and then all the style changes without using mode (like the red area in the pic) ?  (still using the same component from the main design system)I have tried many ways, but still, it does not work.😫Thanks in advance  

Good morning, I tried to overlap two texts, creating a negative space on the edges of the first one by a stroke to subtract from the second one. I have repeated the 'operation several times but I have encountered the following problems: 1) often figma gets the outline of the text wrong and I don't know how to edit the selection 2) once I get the outline right and click “flatten” on the text in front, if I select both and click “subtraction” often the effect doesn't work and the images are not edited.May I know what is the correct procedure to make the outlines of the texts and to overlap them with the effect of negative space on the edges of the first text applied to the second text ?Thank youTranslated with DeepL.com (free version)

good morning, I can't create textured/distressed text with figma. Let me explain: if I upload a jpg texture image, apply it over a text, select both image and text and click “mask”, everything works but the text color is no longer editable. But I would like to apply the texture to the text while maintaining the ability to change the color of the text. I tried to do the opposite and bring the text on top of the image and apply the mask, but the text remains unchanged and the image underneath disappears.Can you please help me ? Thanks 

Hello!I am wondering if there is a way to have the content in a mobile layout in Figma that automatically updates when you edit the content on the desktop layout, and vice-versa. For instance, if I have the two layouts side-by-side and I update the headline copy on desktop, I want it to also automatically update on mobile, so I don’t need to copy and paste back & forth. Same with an image fill or button text.I tried creating a component with the desktop and mobile sizes as different variants, and it updates the size correctly when I switch variants, but not the content (text and/or image). I’m assuming something needs to be linked somewhere in order for this to happen, but I’m not sure what or where. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance :)

I have a modal drawer component, where the body is just one big slot. So the designer would make their drawer content into a component, and swap that into the slot. The problem is that the drawer contents have states and variants, but none of these are surfaced at the top level, even when I try to expose them.

Hello, Say I have a file that contains a few remote component instances that are assets from another file i created. Is there a way to identify the file name the main component belongs to using the API? I figured this would be possible since you can physically see the file name in the right panel when clicking on it. I initially thought that I would be able to get all nodes from a file and check to see if they were remote components, then use the component key to find the file key. But it does not seem like that is an option. Is there any other way this would be possible?Thank you.

I have various button sizes in separate master components, and it gets pretty messy in the assets panel before I turn on the “Show Subfolders” option. Is there a way to make this the default setting so anyone using my library sees them organized right away? ? Or, if I turn this on, does it also get turned on for others using my library?

First time poster, long time fan of Figma :) Since the changes in March, I’ve been struggling to get developers to understand how to get access to the file. It’s been chaotic.  TL;DR - if I add developers in Dev Mode, with VIEW access, shouldn’t they be able to inspect designs? Do all the Dev Mode things? I don’t want them to edit ANYTHING (anymore). There are several places this process may be falling apart, so I’ll explain: I’m in an enterprise, and a different department manages permissions. Figma is new here, and we’re working out the kinks in the other department. I was told to invite the developers to the Figma file, so I used the Share button and added their emails with View access.  I’m working with about 20 vendor developers, some onshore and some off. I don’t think any of them actually read the instructions in any emails, including mine with screenshots.  The delivery file I have invited them to, I added them in dev mode with view access. I would like to change the text and/or images in a figma file by using an API (from what I understand only plugin api can write) but without the need for a user to run the plugin or do any interaction with the figma fileUse case - a user creates a business card with the business logo and name but I want to use the same card for another business, therefore another logo and text. I do not want to alter the figma file itself, I want to send a request with the new image and text and get the png.

In the April 2025 release notes, Figma announced improvements to the annotations feature. It is now visible outside of dev mode, with no need to switch.I interpreted this to mean that everyone can see my annotations, regardless of having a Dev Mode or a Viewer seat. However, that is not the case. Team members with view access to the file cannot see my annotations.Could you please clarify the difference, now that annotations can be managed without dev mode? How do I solve the problem of Viewers not being able to see annotations?

Hello we have a huge application that really has 30 apps that work together. We use Jira to track our work and segment that work into Program Increment (PI) and then into Epics. How do others structure their figma files to find the most recent file to work on? We will have many 100’s of files. The figma search is total crap to find pages in files and branch names. What we thought we could do is to rename the pages to epic numbers. Any advice please let me know.
