I am making a dropdown in a website. In my imagination, if user are not sign in, if any action related to account, it will triggering a login notification from within an overlay.but if i apply this interaction, after i click “View Profile”, the notification pop-up and close both overlay (shopping bag overlay and notification overlay). Is there any better ways to perform this effect?  

Before the new UI (which I hate by the way), you could simply click into the width or height boxes and type in the width you wanted it to be. Now it seems the only way is to manually resize each box and then keep it at fixed width? When I click into the box, it just opens the options again. Am I going crazy? How do you manually change this sizing? I just want to be able to type in 176 or whatever!  

One of the most frequent things I do is select multiple layers, and create a component set. It used to be easy as there was an easily accessible menu in the toolbar at the top.But now in the new UI, I can’t find it. I’d expect it to be in that floating toolbar at the bottom (which I don’t like there btw, but that’s a separate issue) but it’s not there. I right-clicked hoping to see it as a context menu but it’s not there. It’s not even in the main menu on top left.Anyone know? 

Hi, I believe I’ve exhausted all the existing help articles on this. I’m having a hard time with something that should be very basic. I have 25 or so screens, the ONLY interaction between them is that the user should be able to click and/or press the arrow key to navigate LINEARLY between them. Sometimes it works (especially if I go slowly, it works every time). But sometimes it doesn’t, sometimes it inexplicably jumps through sections (pretty much only happens if I press the arrow keys quickly). It appears that if I click through it goes linearly every time without skipping screens. So the problem is only with the arrow keys (which I can’t disable so I need to understand the behavior before handing off to my client). I’ve adjusted all the artboards. The desired order is Row 1 Left to Right, Row 2 Left to Right (as described in the documentation). All rows have the exact same Y coordinate. All columns have the exact same X coordinate. I made a variant where you can toggle on and off a checkmark. The component has auto alignment so that the text and the checkmark are spaced apart, but when I hide the checkmark, the text centers. Is there any way to keep my text right aligned when I toggle off the checkmark?  Thanks for the help! My components:

Hello, I’m new to figma plugin development. I’ve read the docs and the pages on libraries and bundling, which helped me use webpack to split up my `code.ts` and break it down into smaller more relevant typescript files, but my `ui.html` file is a mess and too crowded with 2600 lines at the moment. I wasn’t able to find a way to move functions and event listeners outside of the default html file and import them from a separate location like I did for the `code.ts`. I also couldn’t figure out how to move styles from the `ui.html` to an independent style sheet like `ui.css`. I did search around prior to posting and looked at related topics about linking css to ui.html but didn’t find a solution.

SOS from Slime City! When I examine images in Figma, I can not find their DPI anywhere. Is there any way to ascertain if images will reproduce poorly on export, or print, besides squinting? Eg: If I'm looking at an old file, or something others have been working on, is there any way to determine if the image has been stretched, or what it's original size was?  If not, here's a great idea for a useful little feature… 🕵️♂️🧪✨

Hello Figma community. Im coming from the world of 3D design, and figma is a new interaction field for me. I have a question regarding some buttons and how they behave which is confusing me to understand, so I hope the community can help me out. I have a task to make a button with 6 different states, some states have a bracket with (on) & (off) which I dont understand why, if someone can ellaborate on this would be great. I have made an example on how I believe these buttons should be, if they become interactive.And I also have uploaded a practise PNG if someone would like to do his or her own version. why is there 2 states with the same name, Default, Pressed, hover? This is my understanding how it would be, the offs would be less bright and darker. The hovering states one would be brighter when the mouse hovers, and the hover off would be dark I suppose. I want to add an external developer from another company to a project of ours. He doesn’t have an account and I want to give him the dev seat, but I’m worried that If I pay for a dev seat on my professional plan, he can view all other projects which I dont want to.Is possible to give him access to specific files of a project with that dev seat and at the same time, he only can see these files and nothing else?THanks

How can I get the toolbar back to the top? Now it's impossible to navigate normally, the toolbar blocks half the screen, it looks disgusting. In the old version it was much more convenient to navigate the program

Styles and variables are being listed only if “All libraries” option is selected. When I select a library it spins forever. Even if I create and publish a new library and go to a new file, nothing changes. Anyone having this? This started with last update I guess.

Hi, I’m using a Professional plan and I noticed that AI feature has been disappeared. I’ve restarted Figma but can’t find it. I’m already on the latest update. How can I fix this?

I was using my student email account to get access to Figma during my university time. After I graduated, the email also got disabled and I could not access to Figma as well. Is there a way to regain access to that account? I did ask the university about this, and while waiting for their reply I also wanted to post this question here to see if anyone had experienced the same thing. Thank you.

I am experiencing a challenge in Figma. I am trying to avoid elements showing behind blended layers. Any tips on how to achieve this?To explain further, I masked an image and added the "hard light" blend mode, then I put this above another element, and the layer behind keeps showing through the blended image, causing it to look transparent. If I switch the positions of both elements, the blended image doesn’t show through the other element.The circled place shows my challenge I attached an image as well to explain further my plight

I have a layer repeated 32 times throughout many pages and I need to rename it. When I search for the name I find it 32 times, but when I switch to Replace, it says there are no results. Am I missing some step?

Can we export the images with 300 DPI in FIGMA, I tried but did not found any solution.
