Hi, I'm a frontend developer using Figma.We’re facing an issue with file permissions:One of our designers originally created a file in their personal Drafts and then transferred ownership to me. I used to have “can edit” access, but after becoming the owner, I now see the following message:"This person's seat needs to be updated for them to be able to edit this file type."The Share button is also disabled, and I can no longer edit the file, even though I'm the owner.We’re currently on the Starter Plan, and since this is a company account, it's difficult for us to upgrade to a paid plan at the moment.What options do I have to resolve this situation without upgrading to a paid plan?Is it possible to transfer ownership back to the original designer or regain edit access in some other way?Thanks in advance!

Hello, I’m struggling with the layout option not available in the app but visible in the browser. It’s very frustrating and I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. I restarted both app and computer more than once. Thank you in advance.

Figma removed window.figma from all pages in view-only mode on March 19, 2024.Shortly after, I shared a community post here, as well as on Hacker News and Twitter, which drew some attention. Figma responded both here and on Twitter, stating that the removal was unintentional and that they planned to restore the API “in the coming weeks.” Two weeks later, they revised the timeline, saying the fix would be rolled out “in the next few months.”But it’s now been 14 months, and window.figma is still unavailable. Figma has stopped responding to any follow-ups.As a Figma user, I find this level of disregard unacceptable. You made a clear public promise to the community, then quietly abandoned it. It’s hard not to suspect that the original response was just a stalling tactic to defuse backlash and buy time.

Watching the “Config 2025” sites looked interesting.  About me i’m a tester, but watching other videos from some YouTubers, they got in and started showing the code generated for the browser. YUK YUK YUK!   Or should i say <div><<div><div>  It is nothing but a sea of <div>.  Will be 100% unusable or an extreme pain in the (what we sit on),  Not a minor pain but essentially as bad as one could ever make it, not to mention absolutely no semantic rules which any accessible site would be expected to have to make the site usable…   Just seems you are effectively giving every accessible user a big middle finger…  Might be i’m assuming too much but you all are away the sites you expect people will need to use will be as difficult as you can make it.   

This is a recent issue with my design system, the font weight changing back to regular when the variables were set to Heavy, but when I try to edit the text, it jump back to Heavy, but it will changing back to regular when I come back to the page next day. anyone facing the same issue? it works fine before. when I not touching it When I editing the text

Hi I have a typography system made in Figma with 4 breakpoints, I am using it in figma sites setting the context per page breakpoint, is rezising in some screens but in other screens not, there is no visible reason, some of you had a similar issue?

I have an element in an auto layout and my layout is set to “hug” but when I mouse to my tool panel to use the width or height box there is a senseless mouse hover that changes the word “hug” to the pixel value. what the heck? First, the setting is to “hug”, Pah-lease, Leave my settings alone and stop changing information to something I didn’t ask for...Second, it’s that kind of micro friction several of us are complaining about.Third, as users we already understand and use the selection markup that works when selecting objects - we already know the container size.So, What is the logic behind that irritating hover?

Context:I’m working on a configuration for commonly used storyblocks in our design system. I’m encountering an issue with maintaining overrides when switching between variants. Top-right: This is the starting point — a "text on image" component where the title and label fields are filled in with custom content. Bottom-right: Here, the "text on image" component is instance-swapped with another component. The custom title and label values are preserved during the swap — which is the desired behavior. Left: This shows what happens when the swap is done using variants within the component. I created a new variant based on the original "text on image" component and did the instance swap inside the component itself. However, in this case, the custom title and label are lost when switching variants. So even though I’m performing essentially the same swap — just inside the component using variants — the result is different, and the overrides are not retained.Question:Does anyone have tips

Hello everybody, I’m in desperate need of H E L PI need to create an exchangeable and resizable icon for a button within my design system in Figma. I have tried the icon wrapper but when I exchange the icon from a book to say a lighthouse, the lighthouse icon looks terrible because its length is larger than the average icon. Any ideas on how to make the size responsive? Or auto adjust the icon and the sizing in the icon wrapper? THANK YOUYOU GUYS ROCK

I want the underline below the text to extend as the text grows, but it's not working. The content is wrapped properly

When i try to search for some assets in the assets panel, the ones with images (not vectorized, only images) won’t be previewed. I wish we could see images in the preview because it’s hard to search for an asset without the image showing up. Any ideas why this happens?

Dear [Support/Sales Team], I’m writing to express my concern and frustration regarding the Organization Plan tied to my account. A few months ago, I sent an email requesting to downgrade the plan and reduce the number of seats as we no longer needed them. However, despite that request, I just received a new invoice charging for all seats, including those we no longer use. In addition, I previously encountered unexpected charges for additional seats that were never intentionally added. There seems to be no clear way to cancel or manage the subscription directly from the dashboard, which makes the process even more frustrating. I would like to know: Did the Sales or Support team actually receive and process my downgrade request? Why was the billing not adjusted accordingly after my communication? How can I ensure the plan is properly downgraded or canceled to avoid further automatic charges? I am currently using the Figma Professional plan for design work and am considering upgrading to either the Organization or Enterprise plan. I would appreciate it if someone could clarify the key differences in features between these two plans. Hey guys!I’ve suddenly run into a really annoying issue while trying to preview my project.I have a footer designed with auto layout, positioned to stretch left+right and pinned to the bottom. When I place the footer on a page (e.g. the home page) and open the preview in responsive mode, the footer jumps to the top of the page. However, in actual size mode, everything looks fine.I’ve tried different positioning options, but nothing seems to work. None of the other auto layout sections have this problem, only the footer.Is this some new Figma glitch, or did I just miss an important step?
