Something like the below features  would make my world 100,000,000,000,000,000,000s easier native support: the ability to drag a mp4 or animated gif into a frame, lay text on top and re-export as animated gif or mp4  the ability to pick a gen ai model and generate a clip as background, lay type on top and export as mp4 or animated gif with any gen ai feature the ability to allow users to select from a specified library of reference photos  Hope this helps!  🤣

Hi Figma team,After updating the desktop app today, I noticed that the Auto Layout panel no longer appears when selecting an Auto Layout frame. Additionally, the Layer panel now uses icons, making it difficult to distinguish between Frames and Auto Layout containers.Interestingly, the web version works correctly, showing the Auto Layout settings as expected.This change has significantly affected my workflow, and I hope you can either restore the panel visibility or provide a clearer way to access Auto Layout settings in the desktop app.Thank you for your attention!

Hi! Has the canvas panning keyboard shortcuts changed recently? I use Ctrl+Space+scroll wheel to pan and zoom the canvas but now that keyboard shortcut puts me into a Keyboard picking mode. Is this new? It really gets in the way of working.

Hi Figma Support Team,I was asked to re-verify my Education Plan status. Although the verification had expired for only 24 hours, I successfully re-verified my account. However, my teams are still locked, as if the re-verification hadn’t gone through.Could someone please help me with this issue?

Yes I know this topic has been raised before, but I would like to raise it again, since it is breaking the core interaction in my design system. Is Figma even aware of this issue? Since the last discussion about it is ~2years ago, and this issue still exists. Steps: Create a Button component set with 2 variants: Default, On Press Add interactions in the variant: “Default” → While pressing → Change to “On Press” Insert an instance of the “Default” button into a new Frame Add interactions to the button: On Click → Open overlay. Check the “Close when clicking outside” box. Test the prototype Results When you click the button, the button change to “On Press”, the overlay opens, but when clicking outside the overlay to close it, the button does not reset back to “Default”. Expected: The button should reset to “Default”.

I have accidentally renamed my file by using key commands. Not sure how it happens but the file has been renamed Z. I bet it has to do with Undo key commands. Is there a way to make changing the file name a little harder so this does not happen.

I need help understanding a billing issue on my account. On October 15, 2025, I paid $5.90 for my plan, which included:  0 Full seats 0 Dev seats 1 Collaborator seat  Everything was working fine until today. When I logged in on November 15, 2025, my account suddenly shows an overdue invoice for $41.30, and the breakdown looks incorrect and confusing.  What the invoice shows now The invoice states:  Prorated Professional Full Seat (Monthly): $20 Prorated Collab Seat: –$5 Renewing Monthly Seats (Nov 15 – Dec 15):   1 Full seat → $20 0 Dev seat → $0 0 Collab seat → $0 One-time charges & credits: $15 Taxes (18%): $6.30  Total due: $41.30  The issue I never upgraded to a Full seat, and I never assigned any Full seat.My plan always had only 1 collaborator seat, and the previous month’s payment of $5.90 reflects that perfectly. Now the invoice is showing:  A Full seat added on its own Prorated Full seat charges Renewal charges for a Full seat Extra one-time

I use percentages in a project for the letter spacing. I can’t use variables to achieve this value. It always defaults to pixels.

I'm honestly shocked by how poor SheerID’s support has been. I’ve spent months trying to re-verify my student plan and I keep running into all kinds of obstacles. They told me they would do a manual verification, but then they stopped replying.At this point, I don’t know what else to do. I’m even starting to consider switching to another platform. Hi! I'm doing some Figma illustrations and need to print them so I'm transferring them over to Illustrator. Is there a way to export the new "texture" feature as vector? I've tried: flattening, outlining the stroke, exporting as SVG/PDF, but nothing's working. Hope someone can help (and apologies if this has already been asked and I missed it) 🙏🏻

Hey Figma team,The progressive blur update was 🔥. I’m guessing the implementation uses a linear grayscale gradient (limited to two color points) as a blur map to control the effect. If that’s the case, adding radial progressive blur shouldn’t be too hard.Also, if you’re considering custom blur maps, it would be awesome to let users control crop/fill/fit/tile of the blur map, just like the regular image editing options. Plus, a toggle to switch between blur map input vs. blur map output would make experimenting way more intuitive.This could give designers way more flexibility and open up a ton of creative possibilities.Thanks for considering!

I’m struggling to get vertical overflow working in Figma Sites. All the layers are within the page and auto-layout is applied. When I click on Clip Content I can clearly see which layers are within the page. Within the Interaction tab page overflow is set to vertical.Please help!

Hi everyone,So I have an assignment due till 12pm. However, when I try and access my designs on figma, I just get a grey screen.I tried clearing all browser data on safari (that didn‘t work), I then tried if I would see anything on the App (that didn‘t work), I then deleted the app, restarted the ipad and re-downloaded the figma app - no success. I then installed Firefox - that didn‘t work. I then tried it via chrome (also tried clearing the cache there - neither worked). Nothing worked. None of my own designs nor those shared with me work. I ran out of option 2 attempts ago. Slowly losing hope. Can anyone help? Please?

So  I have multiple layers. The upper layer is a component of a navigation bar.The navigation bar exists of multiple buttons and a rectangle behind everything. I linked the buttons when the components were placed on the pages.The button that links to the page you’re currently on has no interaction as you can’t link something to the page it is currently on.When I click on that button, I click trough the entire navigation bar, and hit buttons that are under it, which directs me to a page, while I want no interaction at all (because I should stay in the same page).how do I fix this, without changing any button location?

When using Freeform, is there any good way to set distance constraints so that I can achieve something similar to padding in Auto Layout?

I personally prefer working with Auto Layout because it provides great automated layout and configuration capabilities. However, I recently ran into an issue: I’m unable to adjust the stacking order of layers while using Auto Layout.When using Auto Layout, if I set Scroll behavior → Position → Sticky (stop at top edge), I can’t move a specific frame to the top layer without breaking the ordering. The only workarounds I’ve found are switching the frame to Freeform or moving the content all the way to the top or bottom.

Hello! I have been using Figma for a long time now as i have found it the best software for my needs. I do digital art using vectors and things, and I just have a few questions about if there are plugins or way to do some things I would wish to have. If there is a plugin, please direct me to it. If there is no, consider this a ‘Suggest a feature’ ( Also I would like to note that I am using the free plan and cant pay for extra stuff, please do not recommend paid services )1 - Better animations      I use the prototyping feature to do animations, with click and on delay to be able to time it right, but there a few things I think could be better. For one, can you make one animation stop while another is going during smart animate? So basically key-frame animation. Hello, I really would love a setting that would make the new layers, freshly duplicated layers, etc, appear downwards - on the bottom of the list if nothing is selected or underneath the currently selected layer. In other words, to change the general direction of layer stacking - to go from top to bottom, instead of bottom to top only, as of now. This is very logical, isn’t it? We create pages in figma and they go from top to bottom, most designs are created from top to bottom, most content flows from top to bottom. Then why do layers go freaking upwards? 😀
