Educational plan re-verified, teams still locked :(

Hi Figma Support Team,

I was asked to re-verify my Education Plan status. Although the verification had expired for only 24 hours, I successfully re-verified my account. However, my teams are still locked, as if the re-verification hadn’t gone through.

Could someone please help me with this issue?

Hi ​@Rafaela_ — welcome to Figma Forum, and thanks for calling this out. Great to hear you were able to get your re-verification squared away. Based on what you’ve shared, it sounds like the missing piece might be upgrading the specific team you want to use under the Education plan.

You can do that in step three of the Figma for Education → Application process:

  1. Log in at figma.com to open your file browser.
  2. In the left sidebar, find your team and click the Free badge next to its name.
  3. In the upgrade window, choose the Education plan and follow the prompts.

Can you give that a try and see if it unlocks things for you? If anything still feels stuck (e.g. an error message or a particular step where the flow breaks) just let me know and we’ll sort it out together. 🙏🏻
