Unexpected Invoice for $41.30

I need help understanding a billing issue on my account.

On October 15, 2025, I paid $5.90 for my plan, which included:

  • 0 Full seats

  • 0 Dev seats

  • 1 Collaborator seat

Everything was working fine until today.

When I logged in on November 15, 2025, my account suddenly shows an overdue invoice for $41.30, and the breakdown looks incorrect and confusing.

What the invoice shows now

The invoice states:

  • Prorated Professional Full Seat (Monthly): $20

  • Prorated Collab Seat: –$5

  • Renewing Monthly Seats (Nov 15 – Dec 15):

    • 1 Full seat → $20

    • 0 Dev seat → $0

    • 0 Collab seat → $0

  • One-time charges & credits: $15

  • Taxes (18%): $6.30

Total due: $41.30

The issue

I never upgraded to a Full seat, and I never assigned any Full seat.

My plan always had only 1 collaborator seat, and the previous month’s payment of $5.90 reflects that perfectly.

Now the invoice is showing:

  • A Full seat added on its own

  • Prorated Full seat charges

  • Renewal charges for a Full seat

  • Extra one-time charges

  • And mark my invoice as unpaid and overdue even though the previous month was paid on time

I did not make any seat changes, upgrades, or additions.

This looks like a billing glitch or a wrong auto-assignment.

Request

Please help me with:

  1. Why was a Full seat added without my action?

  2. Why am I being charged $41.30 for a plan I never selected?

  3. Can the incorrect charges be reversed and my account corrected to my original plan (1 Collaborator seat)?

  4. Can you verify if there is any auto-seat assignment issue on my workspace?

  5. And finally whats that One time charges

I have attached screenshots of the full invoice for reference.

Thank you for your help — this is blocking my access since the invoice is marked overdue.

Hey @dinesh reddy — thanks for raising this, and I’m sorry for the frustration around this unexpected charge. These are valid questions, and I want to help clarify as much as I can here.

We aren’t able to access or share account-specific billing details in the public forum (to protect your privacy and account security), but based on what you described, it’s possible that either you — or someone on your team — took an action that required edit access on a Figma Design file. In those cases, the system automatically adds a Full Seat. You can read more about how that works here in this post: Is a Full Seat required for Prototype Sharing? In addition, this resource may help explain the billing cycle: Manage billing on the Professional plan → Add new seats during billing term.

If things still aren’t adding up or you need a closer review of seat assignments and invoice adjustments, you’re absolutely on the right track by working with our Product Support team. I can see that your case is open (ID number: 1601618) and they can follow up directly at the email tied to your account with more detailed guidance.

Thanks again for your patience while this gets sorted. If anything else comes up, feel free to let me know.
